Denileukin diftitox has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been conducted with denileukin diftitox. Data from human pregnancy studies are not available. Denileukin diftitox should only be given during pregnancy when need has been clearly established.
Denileukin diftitox Breastfeeding Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of denileukin diftitox into human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, and because of the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants from denileukin diftitox, a decision should be made to discontinue nursing or to discontinue denileukin diftitox, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
