What is hydrocodone (hydrocone)?

Hydrocodone (hydrocone) is used in combination with acetaminophen to relieve moderate to severe pain. Hydrocodone (hydrocone) is a narcotic pain reliever (opiate-type) that acts on certain centers in the brain to give you pain relief. Acetaminophen is a non-narcotic pain reliever.

Hydrocodone (hydrocone) is also used in combination with homatropine as a cough suppressant (antitussive). It works on certain centers in the brain to stop the urge to cough. Homatropine belongs to a class of drugs called anticholinergics. Hydrocodone (hydrocone) is generally used for short-term treatment. It should not be used for persistent coughs caused by smoking or long-term breathing problems (e.g. asthma or emphysema), or for coughs with a lot of mucus.

Hydrocodone (hydrocone) side effects may include lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, vision changes, vomiting, and constipation. It is common to experience nausea with initial use of Hydrocodone (hydrocone). The nausea usually subsides after the first few doses.
