Usual Adult Dose for Asthma

Dyphylline-guaifenesin:
200 mg-100 mg capsule: 1 capsule orally 3 or 4 times a day.
200 mg-200 mg or 200 mg-300 mg: 1 tablet orally four times a day.
100 mg-100 mg/15 mL: 15 to 30 mL orally four times a day.
100 mg-50 mg/5 mL: 10 mL orally 3 or 4 times a day.
300 mg-300 mg/15 mL: 5 to 10 mL orally four times a day.
200 mg-400 mg tablet: 1 tablet orally 3 or 4 times daily.
100 mg-200 mg/5 mL: 5 to 10 mL orally 3 or 4 times a day.

Renal Dose Adjustments

Recommendations regarding use in renal impairment are not available. However, dyphylline is almost exclusively eliminated by the kidney, and its clearance is expected to correspondingly reduce in patients with impaired renal function.
