Usual Adult Dose for Dandruff

Massage thoroughly onto the wet scalp. Allow lather to remain on the scalp for 3 minutes then rinse. Repeat and rinse. Two treatments per week are usually sufficient.

Massage thoroughly onto the wet scalp. Allow lather to remain on the scalp for 3 minutes then rinse. Repeat and rinse. Two treatments per week are usually sufficient.

Precautions

Care should be exercised to prevent chloroxine from entering the eyes. If contact occurs, the patient should flush eyes with cool water.

Chloroxine topical should not be used on acutely inflamed (exudative) lesions of the scalp.

Burning sensation and irritation on the scalp and adjacent areas have been reported.

Hair discoloration has occurred following the use of chloroxine shampoo.

The safety and effectiveness of chloroxine in children have not been established.
