Usual Adult Dose for Dyspepsia
Extra strength formula: 1 to 2 chewable tablets orally 4 times a day as needed, after meals and 30 minutes before bedtime. The normally recommended maximum dose is 8 tablets/day.
Regular strength formula: 2 to 4 chewable tablets orally 4 times a day as needed, after meals and 30 minutes before bedtime. The normally recommended maximum dose is 16 tablets/day.

Dose Adjustments
Many authorities recommend between 80-160 mEq of acid neutralizing capability per dose for gastroesphageal reflux disease. Higher doses may be required in these patients.
Other Comments
Each dose should be followed by 120 mL of water.
