I have diabetes type II and I had been taking 500mg of olive leaf extract x 2 a day for about one year. I was also taking glipizide 2.5 x 2/day and metformin 1000mg x2/day. The olive leaf extract really does lower your blood sugar, but be extremely careful and tell your doctor about it because it caused a drug interaction with my diabetes medicines and started to suddenly cause a few hypoglycemic episodes. One night my sugar dropped to 49 and I was passing out.
