Your healthcare provider will show you how to set up your CPM machine. Your provider will also show you how to change the amount of flexion, speed, and time. You may need to use your CPM machine for up to 2 hours at a time, 3 to 4 times per day. If you use a machine for your shoulder, you may use the machine for only 20 to 30 minutes at a time.
