"I was put on 80mg because my platelets were at 10. I had a horrible reaction to the prednisone and it cause me extreme pain throughout my body. The pain was more severe near my tailbone, hip joints and my knees. The pain was so severe that I thought I was going to die. My primary prescribed Norco 10-325 every 4 hours because I was crying and begging. I will never take prednisone again."

"Its supposed to help maintain a higher platelet count, but the results are not steady. Dosages bouncing from 40mg/day to 60mg/day, depending on week-to-week platelet counts."
