What dose of co-trimoxazole is used in a patient with a UTI?

The usual adult dose of co-trimoxazole to treat a UTI (urinary tract infection) is trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole 160 mg-800 mg (1 double-strength tablet) orally every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days
