What is Entresto used for?

Entresto tablet or Entresto Sprinkle are oral heart medications that contains two blood pressure-lowering medications: sacubitril and valsartan. Entresto relaxes blood vessels, improves blood flow, and reduces stress on the heart. It is approved to treat:

• adults with long-lasting (chronic) heart failure to help reduce the risk of death and hospitalization. These medicines work better when the heart cannot pump a normal amount of blood to the body (a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) below normal).
• certain children one year of age and older who have heart failure that leads to symptoms.

It helps to improve your heart’s ability to pump blood to the body. Entresto is usually given together with other heart medications or in place of other heart medicines.

The most common side effects with Entresto include low blood pressure, high potassium, cough, dizziness, and kidney problems (kidney failure).
