For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 74 years old. I was thin until I was 40. Started eating all the wrong food as my husband showed his love with food. I started Mounjaro last year in October. I didn't lose any weight for the first 2 months. I lost 5 lbs in the third month. Then I started losing more. I went from 175 to 115 by August. I never wake up at night and started having a problem making it to the bathroom to pee 3 times a week. I called my doctor and she lowered my Mounjaro dosage to 10 mg and I was fine. I stopped taking Mounjaro last month. Mounjaro makes you just not hungry. I learned to be picky about what I ate. I chose healthy food and feel lighter. I have learned to be healthy and thin. Yes, I am short at 5ft 3 inches and happy to have taken Mounjaro."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I don’t have diabetes. I may have insulin resistance. I’m taking this for weight loss. BMI 48. Took first dose, a sample dose, five days ago. I didn’t even feel the needle. Within a day of the injection I started having pain in my low back, in the tailbone area, squeezing muscle pain when standing or walking. The pain goes away after a few minutes of sitting or lying down. (I had similar pain when taking Belviq. I don’t normally have back pain.) Also have some intermittent mild itching at wrists, ankles. I still think about food all the time but I’m not actually interested in eating it. Someone brought me a quarter pounder sandwich for supper. I had to cut it in half and then I shared my half with the cat. There’s cake in the refrigerator and I haven’t touched it. I’m hungriest in the mid-morning now and today had 1 low carb tortilla, one link turkey sausage, a slice of cheese, cilantro, and a bowl of watermelon."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I tried Ozempic for 9 weeks and thought I was going to die, so they switched me to Mounjaro. The 1st 2 weeks were okay, I just didn't have an appetite, but week 3 hit me just like ozempic did. Total exhaustion, I've lost 5 lbs in little over 3 days, I have side effects of sulphur burps, dehydrated, constant nausea, falling to sleep at all times, all night vomiting and diarrhea. I feel bruised from head to toe and blurred vision. I'm telling people this for a warning. Read the reviews. People are constantly going to the ER because of these medications. I'm flustered because I found something that worked for my diabetes, but it is really bad for me. Since starting Ozempic up to now I've lost almost 30lbs... might sound great but not when you can't function."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Mounjaro 2.5mg for 3 weeks now, and have lost a total of 22 lbs. When they say it kills the appetite, they aren't kidding! I struggle to get 800 calories a day, and most of the time, those are either from salad dressings or protein shakes. The side effects aren't horrible, just not fun either. The first 3 days after my shot, I've got constipation and no appetite at all, those are the days when I'll have a single 32 mg protein shake for the day - if I take in anything else, I feel like I've overeaten and get bloated and slightly nauseous - not worth it. Day 4 I start to feel really queasy and can't even stomach my shake. Day 5 comes the diarrhea, for the entire day. Day 5 and 6 I feel pretty good. I know it's a lot, but the symptoms haven't really caused me to do anything different - other than consumption of food. I live off of Gin-Gin chews (ginger chews) for the symptoms, and they are enough to keep everything at a low-grade annoyance."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Miracle breakthrough drug. I am 64 years old with several chronic maladies over most of the last 40 years. Triglycerides are now normal at 125, were 250 to 700 for the last 20 years. Down 50 lbs in seven months from 300, without much effort. Pain is down/activity is up. Thank you, Eli Lilly, for saving my life and reversing the aging process!"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I know this med doesn't work for everyone and some people have some pretty horrific side effects. Luckily, I am one of those people who it DOES work for. In 4 months, went from A1C of 7.5 to 5.0. All of my other regular labs are in normal range. Going off atorvastatin (10mg for cholesterol) and lisinopril (10mg for high blood pressure) soon. Also, lost 45 lbs. Only side effect worth mentioning is constipation, but I think I finally have a handle on that (with magnesium supplement). Started on 2.5mg for 8 shots, 5.0mg the rest of the time. My biggest problem is supply issues. I have a prescription for 7.5mg but haven't been able to find any yet. Shortage is supposedly ending, so hopefully that will be resoved soon."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The injection is great for weight loss. I lost 45 lbs in about 9 months. Don't taper up every month. Only go up and stay at that dose as long as possible. Involve a nutritionist or dietitian to help you from the beginning understand how to approach food so you can get off the med. I'm barely eating anything and when I tried stopping, the appetite comes back ferociously. I am now considered anorexic and having the nutritionist help me taper off the med. I pray it works and I don't put too much weight back on but can eat healthily."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro for 3 weeks. (2.5 mg injection) and It has helped me tremendously. I started out at 333 lbs. Now I weigh 319 lbs. I feel full for longer. Just feel tired a lot but I take vitamins and something for energy so that has helped. I take stool softeners so I won't get constipated. I had a slight headache for a couple of days when I first started. But not bad. I don't crave snacks, caffeine, or sweets like I use to on a daily basis. If I even overeat a little I feel miserable so I have to watch that. Managing your portions is very important. I'm doing better with that now. It doesn't take much for me to eat and drink to be satisfied. My BP has been good. My doctor said I may be able to get off BP meds soon. I am so grateful for this new med. Can't wait to move up to the next dosage."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I began my journey 08/23/22. As of 01/17/23 I am down 55lbs. I have had no issues. I truly have little to no desire to eat. I have to force myself to eat. My blood sugar is now normal to the low end. I really hope that insurance will kick in before the coupon is no longer effective. I am stunned by how well this has worked. I have tried other meds and nothing has come close. I am 11 lbs from my goal weight. I think I and going to have to readjust my goal. Yay!"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I was prescribed the 2.5 dosage as a trial by my endocrinologist for pre-diabetic and weight loss on 9/15/22. I felt fine the first day, shot was given in the morning but the next day I actually forgot to eat lunch. That is not normal for me. I wasn’t hungry. The third and fourth day I had horrible sulphur burps, nausea, fatigue. On the fourth day I took two naps which is not normal for me. I thought my symptoms were getting worse but then the fifth and sixth day I felt great. I am fearful to take the next injection this week as I don’t want a repeat of the less than desirable side effects. It really wrecked my weekend. On the up side, I lost a couple of pounds the first week. That’s exciting but at what cost?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Mounjaro for weight loss on 10/10/2023 and have lost 23 pounds as of 11/04/2023. I feel full most of the time, so my food intake has decreased. I am paying more attention to my eating habits. I eat more liquid meals with lots of protein, healthy snacks, and greatly lowered my salt intake while drinking lots of water daily. I have increased my exercise because I know I need to tone and firm along the journey. I feel so much better on the days that I exercise. My side effects have been nausea and extreme fullness. Sipping protein shakes and herbal tea with mint help soothe the stomach on those days of nausea. I highly recommend this drug for weight loss. I have seen others with amazing results."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Started at the 2.5 level and lost some weight. (15 lbs.) Sugars are down as well. Greasy foods are not recommended. Went to the 5.0 level and everything dairy went bad...sours on the stomach badly, and quickly. Ate too much one night and got very ill, vomiting and diarrhea all night along with serious gas from both ends! I don't like that I can't have my diary, even tried Lactaid to no avail. Also, there seems to be a metallic taste in my mouth most of the time."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've used Mounjaro for 2 weeks. I've lost 8 lbs. It's crazy how it completely takes your appetite away. You rarely think of food or hunger. You have to make yourself eat. When I eat I can only eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food. It feels like that is all you can fit in your stomach. Side effects.. some insomnia, a lot stomach acid, nausea. But it has re-risen some panic attack issues and unfortunately some dark thoughts which may be the reason I stop taking it. For me this little experiment has shown me that my weight is indeed too many calories. I LOVE not thinking about food or feeling hungry but the psychological side effects may end my experience."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I started out of the 5mg and was deathly ill from it for about a week with severe diarrhea and belching that was so awful it made me want to vomit. I lost 9 pounds and my sugars are going down and staying where they are supposed to be. I called my doctor and she switched me down to the 2.5mg better just one day of illness. Started back on the 5mg and I still feel horrible for 24 hours after day 2 of the shot. But sugars are awesome and I'm hoping this too will pass"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After years of dealing with type 2 diabetes and taking metformin, I finally managed to get my numbers under control long enough to get off the daily meds and control my condition with a proper diet. At the age of 68, after about 15 years of being quite obese and discussing the matter with my doctor, I began using Mounjaro. I started with a low-dose weekly injection and in a few months worked my way up to the full recommended dosage of 15 MG/0.5ML per week. It's been less than a year and I have lost 110 lbs and feel fantastic with no noticeable side effects. Mounjaro was not the first medication I tried, but it was the first one to really give me results. I chuckle at other meds I hear jingles about on television commercials and have my own jingle that comes to mind for Mounjaro every time, and I can't get it out of my head."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Taking for obesity. Has reduced my appetite but not as dramatically as others here. I eat about 500 fewer calories per day than I used to, thanks to the reduction in appetite. I have lost 16 pounds in 18 weeks. The only side effect is constipation, but as long as I eat a salad and oatmeal daily, that is no longer a problem. Stats: Female, age 56, 5’1”. Starting weight 183. Current weight 167. Started on 2.5. Now on 7.5. Hoping to lose another 45 pounds."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been losing about 2 lbs per week since I started using this. I was 170 lbs when I started and am down to 149 lbs over a period of 10 weeks. I was on the 2.5 mg for the first 4 weeks and then increased to 5 mg after that. It has taken away the 'food noise' where I am no longer preoccupied with what I'm going to eat and when. I have had a major decrease in appetite and there are days when I will only have a milkshake and not be hungry for anything else."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Done well losing weight but aware that I'm losing lots of lean muscle mass, not just fat. Lilly says in one clinical trial that 1/3 of the weight we lose is LMM, not fat. Might be more than this. I have a sense that the muscles in my legs are weak. A bit wobbly. They are very strong -- I can power walk for miles. I can do heavy weight-bearing exercises at the gym. But still some sense of weakness. Might it be a nerve issue, not a muscle issue? I am stocky. A tall friend of mine on Mounjaro had none of the feeling of weakness even though he lost 100 pounds. BTW, it's crucial to take a body scan before you start Mounjaro to assess your LMM and assess how much LMM you're losing."

"Have been on Mounjaro since July 15th for obesity. I am only down 8 pounds since then. However, I have no cravings, I do not binge eat, I do not over eat. You will learn quickly to listen to your body. If you overeat, you will regret it. Your stomach hurts and you get bad heartburn. I get really nauseated the first two days after my injections. I do not feel hungry for most of the day. I listen to my body when it is hungry and I eat. If i get nauseous, and I know I haven't eaten in awhile, I go eat. I have heard about this app methreesixty and it shows your inches lost. This is a really helpful tool, if you get discouraged, because you might not see it on the scale but you will see it in inches with this app. I started on the 2.5 and then went up to 5, but I don't think it is doing much for me as I am really hungry the last two days before my next shot. My doctor has me skipping the 7.5 and going straight to the 10mg. It really is helping me in other ways, I did not realize I needed the help."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I’ve been taking Mounjaro for about 14 months. I’ve lost 80 pounds (didn’t realize how heavy/fat I was!). I feel better than I have in years. My A1C initially went down to 4.5. My doctor was concerned - too low. So he took me off all insulin - wow. I’ve been Type 2 for over 10 years. My latest A1C was 5.9. So my diabetes is in excellent control. I can now walk with my hubby. The weight loss helped with this. I feel so great every day! Thank you Mounjaro!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Obesity runs on my father's side and my weight gain has been a lifelong struggle. I did my best but by reaching 275lbs at 50 years old I knew I needed something more than all the traditional weight loss programs. I began taking Mounjaro in Nov 2022. My doctor did a low dose to start (1.5 mg). I experienced the more common side effects, sulfurous belching, heartburn, constipation for a day or two after the weekly injection, stomach feeling sour, etc. I manage these symptoms with my doctor's OTC recommendations. We advanced to a 5.0 mg dose and I continue to experience these side effects but they are becoming more manageable. It's the end of April and I've lost 40 lbs so far. I have more energy, manage my diet better/easier, and make better eating choices. I have just begun to experience hair loss and after reading the other reviews feel better knowing it too will pass. Please know your reviews including side effects, successes, and thoughts have been a huge help. ~Thanks"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am starting my 3rd month on Mounjaro. I have been overweight/obese most of my adult life. I have lost some weight but not as much as I expected. I feel terrible - I suffer with exhaustion, constipation, indigestion, depression, and nausea. I just do not feel good. It has sucked the joy out of my life. I used to exercise much more when I was not taking Mounjaro. I don't want to do anything. I am wondering if it is worth it?"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Horrible experience taking this drug. I do not recommend taking this medication unless you want to die. I started taking 2.5 mg 6 days ago. Day 2 and 3 had no appetite and ate very little because the thought of food made me sick.Day 4 and 5 developed nausea, severe abdominal pain and indigestion unrelieved by antacids.I also have lost five 1bs because I am unable to eat or drink anything. I do not have any energy or feel like doing anything. Day 6 and I still feel sick. My fasting Blood sugar this morning was 224 even though I am not eating or drinking hardly anything at all. It is noon and I haven’t eaten anything because I’m afraid I will throw up. My heart rate is 120 and normally runs in the eighties. My doctor is out of the office this week for holidays. Just hoping and praying I don’t wind up in the emergency room. I will never inject this toxic stuff into my body again. I also read that it can cause thyroid cancer."
