For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "My experience with Lyrica, simply put would be legendary. Before Lyrica, my anxiety would present itself by making me extremely sweaty, feeling uncomfortable and antsy, and irritable. I would be so worked up that I would have to take a deep breath a few times a minute. I am on 450mg a day, taking 150 three times a day and still feel extremely amped up and energized, without the anxiety component. I owe this medicine my life."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "I suffer nerve pain from spinal cord injury; central stenosis, foramenal stenosis, multiple disc bulges and tears, sciatica and chronic migraines. Lyrica is a game changer. I have tried many drugs for the unbearable pain including but not limited to narcotics, and I have to say I have not been more comfortable since starting 300mg daily. I used to not be able to sleep for more than a few hours a night for years because of pain. I was purely bedridden and suffered chronic migraines from the constant high blood pressure from pain. All of those out there that suffer from the nerve pain that feels like a knife cutting you from the inside NEED to try Lyrica, and all those that have not been able to manage your pain with narcotics should give Lyrica a try. The only side effects I have experienced are reduced libido, chronic fatigue, and feeling groggy in the morning when waking. I will say it's all worth the relief it brings."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "I've been suffering from 24/7 muscle pain (chronic upper body tension, spasms, muscle pain, headaches, etc.) every day for 8 years. I started Lyrica 3 weeks ago at 50 mg 2x a day. Other than a little fuzzy fibro brain, which is not uncommon for me, I've had no major side effects at all. I bumped it up to 50 mg in the a.m. At the 2-week mark, I wasn't feeling much better, so I bumped the dose another 25 mg a day in the a.m. for a total of 75 mg a day. Oh my God ... I haven't felt this good in years!! It's been about a week now, and I don't want to jinx it, but, honestly, Lyrica is life-changing for me ... and I haven't gained a single pound!"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have suffered with severe anxiety for 11 years, and I've tried every SSRI and SNRI you can think of. No improvement. I had no quality of life, and on the days I did manage to get out of bed, I would just sit on the couch all day thinking, 'Is this it forever? If it is, why don't I just end it all now?' Then my doctor put me on pregabalin 2x75mg a day, and OMG, I felt my anxiety levels drop. After 11 years, trust me, it was almost euphoria. After 2 weeks, I was put up to 2x150mg a day, and yes, I had all those symptoms: a drunk feeling, bloated, legs shaking, but I knew they were temporary, and they went away after a few weeks. I am now on 2x225mg a day, and honestly, I can live a semi-normal life, as I like to call it. I still feel anxiety every day, but it's manageable. I can go to the shops, the gym, drive my car, and lots of other things. In conclusion, my opinion is pregabalin is a fantastic medication for anxiety."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "It works best for me, better than narcotic pain relievers, and better than Neurontin (pregabalin), which I'm amazed isn't on this list, as it is very similar to Lyrica. I have no side effects with the medication, and I take it for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. Hopefully this will help someone; it was well worth trying for me."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "After having my 2nd child, I got really poorly and was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. For 3 years now, I've been living in hell and up and down like a yo-yo. Just recently, I paid privately to see a psychiatrist because the NHS is useless as it's understaffed for mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar II, GAD, and mixed anxiety and depressive disorder. All I can say, week 2 on this medication has saved my life! I'm on 75mg twice a day and can increase if I wish to, but with the way I am feeling at the moment, I feel I don't need to. I can leave the house, I'm going back to work next week, and my girls have their mummy back. I also suffer from damaged nerves in my lower back, and it's helped so much with the pain. It's a miracle."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I was suffering from persistent nausea. I lost a lot of weight as eating was difficult. I had many tests, and my doctor concluded the problem was mental, not physical. He prescribed Pregabalin, 75mg twice a day, and the improvement came almost immediately. I feel much calmer, much reduced anxiety, have my appetite back, and the nausea mostly eliminated. I would strongly recommend this medicine. It does make you want to eat, but this was a boon at first as I had lost a lot of weight, but no other side effects as far as I can tell. Maybe a bit of drowsiness. This medicine gave me my life back so give it a go if you have run out of other ideas."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have been on a cocktail of SSRIs and benzodiazepines for complex PTSD associated with a cancer diagnosis and two terminal illnesses of loved ones. I always had anxiety and self-medicated before discovering psychopharmaceuticals. I had a very hard time weaning myself off Xanax and other benzos but Lyrica has completely changed my life. No more panic attacks, no more nightmares and night sweats, no more fear of life. I only take as prescribed for a total of 150 mg a day but likely will decrease as my life becomes more tolerable and even enjoyable. I have no addiction cravings or thoughts of self-harm or hopelessness. It only took two and a half years to determine this was the medication for me. It also helps with migraine prevention and neuropathic pain that I developed from stress."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "Beware of this drug. I’ve taken it for over 12 years now as have been tapering off it for well over a year and a half. Withdrawal from this drug is / can be a life altering, career destroying experience. The anxiety and depression can be extreme. Horrible brain fog, severe insomnia, paranoia, severe mood swings and anger that approaches rage. My research indicates that severe withdrawal is fairly uncommon but there is no way to know if you’ll be a victim. And the after effects can last for years trying the patience of loved ones, your employer, doctors and friends. If you are considering going on Lyrica or on it for only a short time, consider stopping as soon as you can. But beware - even short term exposure can lead to nasty, long lasting withdrawals. I’ve read one persons account of only taking it for two weeks and she still spent a year in withdrawal."

For Pain "I had a slipped disc resulting in very painful sciatic nerve pain. I couldn’t sleep and everything triggered the pain. I was miserable. Big doses of codeine, ibuprofen, and paracetamol. Nothing worked. I was beside myself. Took pregabalin. First couple of days I noticed absolutely nothing, and on the third day, wow, goodbye pain. With each increased dose, my life became livable. Terrible reviews online and research that it doesn’t work on sciatica any better than placebo! Couldn’t believe my eyes. It worked on me. I’m so thankful."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I was diagnosed with GAD when I was 18. I have tried every medication under the sun and some SNRIs have helped, and benzos killed the anxiety but became extremely dependent and addicted to them. I was prescribed pregabalin for GAD in 2013, and noticed just like others on this board, that it helped my depression too. It doesn't kill the anxiety in its tracks like benzos do, but it makes the anxiety manageable. I have been on pregabalin for two years now and started at 100mg 2x a day. My dose was increased to 150mg 3x a day (450mg daily) after a few months and feel like life is now manageable. This is the best I have ever felt and ever done in my life. It also helps me focus. I plan on staying on it for the rest of my life and am only 32."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "Lyrica has given me my life back. I have what has been diagnosed as a pinched nerve in my back. It was causing severe pain and numbness in my left hand, especially my index finger and thumb. I still have numbness in my left forefinger but it is greatly reduced. The pain in my back was intense, it made me nauseous, and extra strength acetaminophen was not doing much along with diclofenac. Within an hour of my first Lyrica pill I started feeling relief and my pain is greatly alleviated. I had taken Lyrica a couple of years ago for shingles and it was a miracle drug then also. My only side effect is a stuffy nose."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I love this medication. I feel calm and rid of anxiety. I currently take 600 mg daily and it lasts throughout the day. I would highly recommend this medication; it's both calming and stimulating. I have the confidence to go out and hang out with people. I finally feel like I can socialize and relax like a 'normal' person. It's approved for generalized anxiety disorder in Europe."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "(From Denmark) For Lyrica, I have been through the worst period of my life. Suffering several panic attacks a day mixed with the urge to commit suicide. It has been controlling me, making me unable to attend school, exercise, and yeah, just being the person I want to be. It left me restless. Couldn't go outside, went completely asocial, and full of frustration. Lyrica has changed my life; it had an immediate effect on me. I've been on it for two days and I have been the complete version of myself. I take only 75 mg a day. But I will upgrade my dose to 75 mg twice a day. I am so so so so so grateful. And full of optimism <3 <3 <3 SO HAPPY"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I suffer from anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I tried multiple meds, nothing worked for me. Benzos only make me tired. I was put on Pregabalin, slowly increasing the dose to 2x 150mg. This drug alleviates my social anxiety; I just want to go out and socialize. It motivates me and gives me energy. Sleep is also amazing. The only downside is that you build tolerance fast, so I try not to take it every day. However, I became mentally addicted to this medication in just 2 weeks. It feels too good. It makes me feel human again, alive. I do have some trouble with memory, like remembering names, and sometimes I feel dizzy."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "Being a survivor of Spinal Cord Injury 'Lyrica' has literally been a lifesaver for me. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure if I would be able to live a normal life without it. Now, to the downside of 'Lyrica'. Who can afford it? A 30-day supply for me is $500 a month. I am disabled and because Pfizer got greedy and paid off a superior court judge, we cannot obtain the generic version of the drug. That said, whose best interest is in mind, I ask? The people or the man? The sad thing is that I know this will never be seen by the people that all know I'm right and need the help like me but must suffer and live without medication that can change a person's quality of life. Thank you for allowing me to share. And if even one sees this. The riteone"

Now taking 75 mg Lyrica 3x a day. For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I started taking it for my anxiety when nothing else worked and it's change my life in so many ways! My anxiety is gone for the first time in my life, and I'm not sedated or high. I just feel normal. My anxiety got so bad it was causing severe stomach problems. I almost had my gallbladder removed. Not only did it cure my anxiety, my stomach issues are gone, as well as my IBS that was a separate issue, my restless legs are gone!!! GONE. RLS was torture. It stopped me from going to movies or on planes, but that's not even the best part! My chronic leg pain, which I saw many specialists about when I was young and had since given up on, IS GONE! I thought I had to live in pain forever. My life is drastically improved. No words can explain."

For Pain "I have had severe pain to the point I have lost my ability to walk and need to use a wheelchair for the past seven years. My Dr. (last year) put me on Lyrica and it saved my life! I had been put on every type of painkiller and I needed a lot of them. Now I have lower doses of my pain medicines and I feel tons better! Anyone who is looking into this medication, PLEASE at least try it, take it as you're told to by your Dr. and give it four weeks to fully work its magic. I almost asked my Dr. to take me off it three weeks into taking it, but my wife told me to give it one more week and BOOM! She was right. It's not like anything you have ever tried! My only problem with it is it needs time to work. It's worth the wait!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "It's sad when people write a drug off because their experience was negative. With nerve pain of any kind, there are different levels of pain in which the body can get to. Sometimes I have muscle spasms with and without pain, in my face, my legs, my back, neck, and shoulders, and my eyes too. I even vomit as a result of severe pain. My vision is blurred, my breathing and anxiety levels are greatly affected. Lyrica makes most of this go away. Please understand not all meds suit every individual, so you have to try different things till one works for you. I also took Lyrica in pregnancy and have a healthy chubby little baby boy; 100% okay. This med gave me part of my life back. Living with pain is crucifying, but living with Lyrica is a solution!!! For me, anyway."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Pregabalin is an excellent medication as long as it is taken as instructed. I’ve taken pregabalin for years and it really helps with anxiety and pain. I had a dependency issue with benzodiazepines which is now resolved (and I can never and will never take them again) and the pregabalin really really helped with the withdrawals from the benzodiazepines which were (and still are a bit) absolute nightmare that no one should have to endure. Believe me opiate and opioid withdrawals aren’t in the same league as benzodiazepines withdrawals but pregabalin is really helping me in many ways - it helps with depression, anxiety, mood. If it’s used in conjunction with an anti-depressant it works wonders. The trick is to never take more than prescribed once you’ve found the dosage that works - mine is 150mg morning and night. If you’ve got GAD, depression or both give it a try because it works."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "I hate to write this comment, but it has to be done. I have been on Lyrica for 5 years. I now take 150mg 3x a day. At first, this was a dream medicine for me. It relieved the aches and body spasms almost instantly. I could sleep at night and woke up pain-free, able to live a somewhat normal life. I did, however, gain 40 lbs. I am now experiencing severe depression, and I feel it is due to the Lyrica. I ran out once and experienced the worst withdrawal symptoms. I felt like I was dying, and the pain was severe. This medicine is wonderful, but getting off of it is very hard."
