For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I've been on 20mg escitalopram (Lexapro) for 3 months with only a partial response to my GAD/SAD, so my psychiatrist decided to augment my therapy with pregabalin (Lyrica) split into 2 doses of 75mg (morning and evening). This turned out to be the winning combination that completely alleviated all of my symptoms. The only side effects I experienced on pregabalin were increased sleepiness at the very beginning of treatment, which quickly went away. It's a miracle pill for anxiety in my opinion, and I hope this helps others!"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Lyrica has been incredible for my anxiety! Within just a couple days, I was running errands without needing to have someone with me due to anxiety. I was doing chores, which I often delayed without a second thought, and I was enjoying my life and time with my children. I was prescribed pregabalin for fibromyalgia pain, and I can't say I've noticed a difference with pain, but it has done everything for my anxiety! I am way less irritable and moody and feel like I can actually enjoy living a happy and complete life for once without worry, fear, or nervousness. I went from being a procrastinating homebody to a normal-feeling, confident person! My side effects have been blurred vision, sometimes feeling a little sleepy, and dizziness. It's 100% worth trying!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and degenerative disc diseases, plus arthritis. I was on gabapentin and tramadol. Neither helped. I then tried Lyrica. I've been on it for just about 2 years, 300mg twice a day. I started experiencing memory loss about 7 months in. I have more of what I would describe as blank moments which is a bit scary and frustrating. I also gained 65 lbs the first year which has its own side effects! However, it controlled my pain, a feeling similar to having overall body pain like when having the flu. Because the 'memory loss' was bothering me, I asked the doctor to go off it. I began tapering off and the pain came back. I was left to choose between two evils; disabling pain, or being fat and forgetful. I went back on Lyrica. Sure the side effects suck. I write a lot of things down, set reminder alarms, have family remind me of stuff, and buy stylish big-size clothes. Life goes on!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuralgia "Lyrica/Pregabalin was prescribed to me when I had a swollen and non-diagnosed node on my neck. After 10 months, and nearly wiping out 6 months of research during my PhD, I visited a doctor in Chicago who warned me to taper down and get off the drug. I do not normally take medicines of any kind, other than antibiotics in the event of a serious bacterial infection. Based on my experience with Lyrica, I would not recommend it to anyone. Pfizer's multiple trials for this drug have been designed to try to offer it for every imaginable and even unimaginable problem. It numbs the brain and turns a person into a blithering idiot while also catalyzing side-effects that range from nervous tics to suicidal ideation. Ten years later, I still have a mild, but irritating bruxism and semi-uncontrollable mouth movements. Rating the drug effective or ineffective is irrelevant. It will produce a numbing euphoria so that a person doesn't even have the sense to stop it. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "Had horrible fibromyalgia pain constantly, so never slept. I was missing work and also had to drop my two best shifts as a bartender. I lost lots of money and was in constant pain around the clock. I saw a neurologist, and she prescribed Lyrica at 50 mg a day, and it worked for me instantly, 100%! I'm now on my third week of using it, and I feel better now than I have in the last 6 years. Lyrica has been a huge game-changer. The only side effect I had was it gave me tons of energy the first week. I literally cleaned my whole house for the first time in 3 years. I am thrilled beyond words. I still haven't had to up my dose. I am praying it stays this way. The only problem is the price, so I'm praying a generic surfaces quickly."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "I've had chronic pain after a 2-level neck fusion and take oxycodone and Cymbalta. The opioid crisis has forced me to reduce my opiates, and my doctor put me on 50mg Lyrica a day. It's only been a few days, but so far, it's very effective and no real side effects. I actually have hope I will be able to live with this pain without hoping God would take me in the night. I'll update my review after I've been on it longer. I hope all who suffer find relief."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have been on this medication for about 5 years now. Before I was on it, I was a mess. I couldn't even go outside because I didn't want anyone to see me, in case they try to chat. I can't do conversations with people very well. I am also autistic, epileptic, and have GAD, which made my life a mess. But pregabalin annihilates anxiety and also helps my epilepsy. This is the best medication you will ever get. I advise you all to try it if your doctor allows it, as it really has the potential to change your life around. I can go outside now without worrying about anything. 10/10"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have been on this medication for about 8-9 years now. I have been diagnosed (at 18 years old, 31 now) with Autism, GAD, and Epilepsy. I started on a very low dose (100mg per day) and now on 200mg three times a day. It controls my seizures along with sodium valproate, and what it does for anxiety is incredible. It's like an omnipotent medication. All these people saying about withdrawals, yes, you can get withdrawal symptoms if you stop cold turkey, but not as bad as Benzodiazepines or illicit drugs. Keep to your prescribed dose, and I think this medication will change your life."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I've had crippling GAD since I was a kid, and since being on Pregabalin, I'm now able to say see ya later to the anxiety that's stopped me from living. As I've been a hermit for over 10 years! I've tried every benzo there is, but after only a very short time, I've been so happy to find this medication! I'm taking 150mg per day, and the side effects are still going on, but I'm not going to stop these meds for relief is totally amazing! They should go, as I've read from other people, but I'm willing to put up with them, for this is like a miracle or something! I wish I found this years ago. Living at last, not just existing! Take care, people!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "I couldn't remember the last time I had a 'good' day since being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia until 2010 when I was first told about Lyrica by an emergency doctor. The symptoms and pain had gotten so bad that I drove myself to a Baylor emergency room. Physically and mentally I just felt defeated. I was so stressed out that I developed an ulcer, and my potassium/magnesium levels were so low; they admitted me several times for as long as a week each time. Bags of blood had to be given, and IV fluids were necessary. Ugh... I was a hot mess. I don't recall the doctor who introduced me to Lyrica because I was in and out a few times, but all I can say is a BIG thank you. I've been on Lyrica 300mg a day since 2010. I can get what I need done and function like a normal woman."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "After coming off 25 years of Valium, I had the most horrible anxiety and insomnia which I never had before. The Valium was prescribed for muscle spasms. Anyway, after stopping Valium, I had crippling anxiety around the clock and sleeping... forget it. I'd wake up at 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., every night. There I sat, so very exhausted yet wired with anxiety. Went to a shrink who prescribed the usual SSRIs which did nothing but give me horrible side effects. Then I asked my pain management doctor to prescribe me Lyrica after having read that on top of pain, it is good for both anxiety and insomnia. I have only been on 50mg three times a day for five days, but I can honestly say my anxiety is gone, and I've slept seven to eight straight hours a night since starting it with zero side effects. I don't care if I have to take this for the rest of my life. If so, I will. It is a miracle drug."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Hi Been on this drug for 10 years+ and I gotta say that’s it has a marvellous effect on me. I suffer GAD and child trauma. My anxiety hits me as soon as I wake so I hit it back with 150mgs which works whilst I’m drinking my tea etc. I then top it up midday with another 75mg and my day is just normal. I know all the talk of getting to the “root” cause etc etc but just to get relief from crippling anxiety. It’ll do for me!!!"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "For the first time in my life, I feel relaxed, happy, and content. Less irritability, more stability, and fewer emotional outbursts, if any. I'm autistic, have major depression, and extremely bad anxiety. I have had insomnia all my adult life. I've tried every antidepressant, sedative like diazepam, and nothing has helped. I've experienced lots of horrendous side effects. I do take duloxetine as well. But pregabalin has changed my life. I no longer have suicidal thoughts and I feel so relaxed like never before. I sleep much better and don't have night terrors."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have suffered with severe anxiety and depression for years. I tried 6 different antidepressants as well as benzodiazepines, and all did nothing for me or any help. Eventually, I was put on Pregabalin by a Psychiatrist, and it was very helpful, almost from day one. We increased my dose until I take the maximum of 300mg twice a day. At this dose, my anxiety has been pretty much eliminated. I am happy and now an active person. However, a word of warning to anybody taking this medicine for a long time: DO NOT allow yourself to suddenly withdraw from it. I recently had to go a week without it, and it was a living hell for me. Withdrawal symptoms for me were as follows: severe anxiety and depression, suicidal ideation, inability to sleep, nausea, and vomiting."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "This stuff Pregabalin is amazing. At the dosage of 450mg, it increases mood, empathy, and has an uplifting effect like no other thing on this earth (on the legal side). It helps too with my social anxiety. I'm in agreement with my doctor to take it on bad days so as not to dissipate the positive effects. I hope my tolerance will not increase. P.S. I don't recommend in any way a recreational use. Like with any other substance, there are horror stories on the net. Stay safe and talk with your doctor."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Diagnosed with Complex PTSD, Borderline Personality order, Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Had anxiety most of my life, which has been particularly bad last three years. Recently spend 5 weeks in a psychiatric hospital due to severe anxiety (body shaking - planning the end of my life prior to admission to hospital). Consultant on the Ward put me on 300 mg Pregabilin /daily. It has made a major difference to my anxiety levels - I am much calmer. People say I am much more present and my thought no longer go all over the place - ten thoughts at once! I have been taking Pregabilin for about 9 weeks now. I feel like my old self - my sense of humour has come back, am no longer suicidal and feel optimisitic about the future. I see a psychiatric nurse weekly and tell her how I really feel - which helps. The relief from anxiety is wonderful - as I have a full time job (social worker)."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I would just like to say that I know everyone worries about weight gain on this drug, so I thought it important to share a positive experience with this drug. I am on 300mg per day and have experienced no side effects and absolutely no weight gain. I am so much calmer and happier, my mood doesn't plummet suddenly, I am not anxious at all anymore, and I am sleeping like a log! 10/10. Don't let fear of sudden weight gain affect your decision to take this drug. Remember that when they test drugs, they don't take into consideration the lifestyles of the test subjects. That 1 in 10 person could just eat too much day to day, which would result in weight gain and have nothing to do with the drug. Don't worry too much about it!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain "I recently had a rib resection due to a bone disease and was put onto Lyrica. The first two days in hospital, my feet swelled, and my mouth was like a desert, and I was having nightmares. After my first night at home, being on Lyrica for a total of 8 days, I will never take Lyrica again. I had the most horrific hallucinations, lost all balance, couldn't be reasoned with, and couldn't sleep for 72 hours even after stopping it, and also losing all my peripheral vision for that time. My saving grace being my husband who got me to medical help as fast as possible. It took about 1 minute of talking to an emergency doctor to know what was happening."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Pregabalin saved me from the depths of anguish with anxiety and panic attacks. I tried Effexor, Sertraline, and Prozac. My anxiety got so bad that I couldn't function or look after my kids or my home. Eventually, I got prescribed Pregabalin 75 mg twice daily. From the first dose, it was like a miracle; within a few hours, my anxiety was almost completely gone. Try it. It definitely worked for me. I can't say how grateful I am for this medication."

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia "The first time I took it, I became a little dizzy, but I haven't had that problem since. This is an absolute miracle drug. I have fibromyalgia, and there are days when moving hurts to the point of tears. I also have severe back pain for which I was on narcotics, and at age 20, I'd rather not take them. Lyrica gives me energy, and I'm able to be a mom, play with my 2 babies, and get things done. So thankful for this medication! It is very expensive, especially without insurance ($568 for 60 pills that are 75mg), but with my insurance and a savings card, I only pay $4."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have severe and major anxiety to the point that I am anxious about everything. I take antidepressants which work like a charm and Hydroxyzine to help with my anxiety. (does not help at all but makes me sleepy.) I took a 200 mg Lyrica, and about 30 minutes to an hour later, I felt amazing! I actually felt like myself. The only side effect is that I’m constantly moving around here and there, but I’m cleaning and doing positive things. The point is, when I go out in public, I don’t look down when people see me. I’m the person I’ve always wanted to be, and I enjoy life so much better now."
