Nostrilla (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "I've used this product for about 15 years, as I have chronic nasal congestion at night. I would have given it a 9 until the new bottle design, which is so HORRIBLE I have to give it a 2. I love your product. It would be nice if I could still use it. The cap is wayy too hard to wrestle off for people who don't have great hand dexterity, and that whole "line up the tiny white plastic groove with the other tiny white plastic groove" thing is awful. I need to be able to use it in the dark without waking up my spouse. I will switch to another brand if I must."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "I have been a satisfied Afrin loyalist for years, but as of today will no longer be able to say the same because the bottles are now outfitted with what appear to be new child protection safety caps, AND THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN. Impossible. After removing the disposable outer plastic seal (not new), I and another perfectly able adult tried and tried to turn and remove the nozzle cap, without success. Meaning, this new design isn't just a minor hindrance or annoyance; we were NEVER able to open and use the product. It will have to be returned for refund. Disappointing!"

For Nasal Congestion "I tried this product as a result of a bad day of allergies. It worked as advertised, clearing out my sinuses effectively. However, I did not read the directions thoroughly and used it for 3 days. After I stopped, I suffered the rebound congestion, and it was horrible. I nearly gave in to the temptation to use it again, especially since I couldn't sleep with the congestion. Luckily, I found a simple alternative--BreatheRight strips. They hold the sinuses open nicely, allowing me to sleep without turning to Afrin again. Hopefully, the condition will go away."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "I love Afrin. It’s the best for nasal congestion, however, the new cap is impossible to open. I am forced to change brands although I wish that I didn’t have to. I have a full bottle that I can’t use."

Zicam Extreme Congestion Relief (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Well, my second time using this med. First time it literally worked in 2 days (a little over 1 day). This time around it's working great, the only issue is my nose is extremely dry and burning but only my left nostril. Other than that this med works a miracle."

Vicks Sinex 12-Hour Decongestant Nasal Spray (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "I used the 12 hour spray twice over the past 48 hours and now my nasal passages are completely closed. The pharmacist recommended I take the two decongestant pills; however, not change and I'm fearing this may require medical attention."

Afrin Original (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "What experience??? It would be nice If I could get the top to open!!! Even my husband is puzzled by this new top! You're not only keeping kids from using the bottle of nasal spray your keeping ME a woman in my mid sixties from using your product! I have arthritis but can usually be creative and get to a product somehow! In your quest to be SAFE you have lost a customer!!! I will use a competitor from now on. I have used your various nasal sprays on and off for years and you have now gone beyond the absurd in your quest for safety, or whatever it is you are doing it for. Maybe you should consider a "handicap" version or go back to the original...only then will you get my loyalty as a customer back! Leave well enough alone!"

For Nasal Congestion "This medicine is very effective at first glance but it is quite addictive. I suffer from asthma and always congested nose. Still my nose was never too congested to have to use these so I limited the use only when I had a cold. I had a lung infection about a year ago and had to take antibiotics and this for about 2 weeks. When I tried to quit it, my nose would get more congested then when I was sick. I thought this would go away within 1 or 2 days. Finally, I had to go back to using the spray again and I was hooked. I have been trying to minimize the use of it but every time I quit, it causes that horrible congestion without me having ANY cold or flu."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Hey, Afrin. Maybe check your products before you send them out? The product I bought I guess is defective because it will NOT open. Obviously, push down and turn counterclockwise- easy enough? Apparently not for Afrin to figure out. I’ve tried getting the nasal spray to open, and the other 2 members of my household have tried as well. First time and last time buying anything from this brand. Now I have to take an extra trip to the store while sick and in the aftermath of a blizzard. Ridiculously frustrating."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "The cap on the bottle is ridiculous. Can't get it off !!! Finally got it off after 15 minutes. Ended up using pliers. Also the spray gave me a horrendous headache and did very little for congestion. I will never waste my money on this product again!!!"

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Awful experience!! Couldn't get the cap off so I spent 30 minutes trying to get it off. After 30 mins and a bloody cut up thumb I finally just grabbed my old bottle of nostrilla (which I would have much rather bought but couldn't find any at the store. For anyone reading this nostrilla is a 10/10 for me!!) Punctured a whole in the afrin bottle and squeezed the stuff into the nostrilla bottle... so nostrilla you the real MVP!!"

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Product may be great but it's worthless if you can't open the bottle to use it. Horrific container design. Based on countless reviews and videos, this should have prompted product changes by now. Generic brand works just as we'll and doesn't waste valuable life trying to open the cap."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Medication works great for nasal congestion. Now, trying to take off the lid is a different story, I almost returned it. After 3 mins a fellow coworker finally got the lid off. I understand child proofing but, this is ridiculous!!"

Nostrilla (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Don't buy! The bottle is freakin' impossible to open especially when you can't breathe and all you want is relief. Tried everything to get lid off. Eventually I got it off with my teeth as this was only way I could keep the bottom half from turning as I twisted lid. I still ended up with medicine in my mouth because leaked while I was trying to turn lid off. Most stupid design ever, go with a different brand, trust me!"

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "This company should be sued they sell nasal spray that you can't even open to use! Waste of money. My husband is ridiculous enough to buy this nasal spray again when we knew we always have a hard time opening the damn thing. And the nasal spray itself isn't as effective it doesn't spray it squirts lots of liquid when you give it a quick squeeze. Terrible"

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "I forgot about my last experience with the darn cap when I bought this today because it had been quite awhile ago. Just took about 20 minutes practically tearing my fingers up trying to get the cap off. Finally picked up heavy duty pet nail clippers and cut through the side of the red cap to get to the spray. Ridiculous! I will forever remember not to buy this product again. The product works IF you can get to it."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Shameful!! You sell medication that can't be used because Bayer chose to save money using a defective bottle that won't open. Clearly no quality control or concern for consumers--even if they are strong healthy drilling rig operators."

Nostrilla (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Wish I did listen what others said after reviewing their experiences. Can't even open it and I don't think so I am dumb lol. So this is just in regard to their useless container. I also broke the container and applied to my kids nose which he woke me up in the middle of the night saying that his nose burn. Stay away this product but if you don't listen, be my hero to open the container as well as burn your nose."

Afrin (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Twice now - more fool me - I have bought the original nasal spray and had the top take everything off when I opened it, rendering the product USELESS. It's annoying you can't rely on what was once a strong brand."

Afrin Original (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "This product is a God send. I’ve tried almost all decongestant oral tablets and sprays including expensive mometasone nasal spray but couldn’t get relief I needed. The very first time I used it, it unclogged my nasal congestion. What a relief! I can breathe very well. This is gonna be the only product I’ll be using from now on for occasional episodes of nasal congestion if ever I would need it at all cause I just recently had sinus surgery. This was prescribed by my surgeon doctor and it just works perfectly."

Nostrilla (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "This stuff is easily the best nose spray I've used. However, the cap is nearly impossible to open. Part of the problem is the base (trigger) moves while you are trying to remove the cap when you first open it. You also need a strong grip to squeeze the sides as directed on the cap to remove it. Highly recommended, but you will spend some time trying to open it when you use it for the first time."

Afrin NoDrip Extra Moisturizing (oxymetazoline) for Nasal Congestion "Unlike others I was able to remove and the medication but I wish I hadn't. This medication made me feel horrible. Almost to the point of going to the emergency room. I had terrible shaking and tremors and weird heart beats. Brain zaps and couldn't sleep. I wish I had read the side effects before it took it. Very bad experience."
