Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "Only took 1 dose so far, but already feeling better. Had bronchitis and upper respiratory tract infection for a month. Saw doctor yesterday and diagnosed me with sinus infection. Avelox 400mg 1/day would have been highest tier on my copay so she gave me full 10 days with samples. Worked amazingly well, though I felt real sleepy first hour. Could very well be that I'm SICK, not reacting. I'm allergic to other antibiotics (rash/hives) so this was a relief. MAKE NOTE OF THE MANY FOODS/DRUGS TO AVOID WHILE ON THIS. Others have posted their use of vitamins with it, but it clearly states to avoid them."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "Awful side effects!! I was fatigued, trembling and experienced shortness of breath and tachycardia. I even started feeling knee pain after the second day of treatment. I couldn't sleep for three days and just had a mild improvement in my sinuses."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "My brother took this and felt very anxious, my only side effect is feeling super tired and kind of out of it. It really helped my cough and I think it is starting to help with my chronic sinus infection. I am allergic to Levaquin so I was nervous taking it since it is in the same drug family. I did not have the same reactions that I had when I was taking Levaquin. I have had 5 sinus infections in the past 6 months and the Z-pac has quit working....so overall things are getting better."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "Symptoms started clearing 12 hours after first dose. Doctor prescribed 10 days at 400 mg/day. All of my bacterial symptoms (sore throat, headache, drainage, cough, upset stomach, fever) were gone by dose 4. No serious side effects."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "This drug was a miracle for me! I was very skeptical on taking these because of the horrible reviews that are out there. I went to my doctor and he prescribed me Azithromycin. It did nothing for me. My ear got really inflammed and I was half deaf in my ear. Fluid was blocked up. I went back to the doctor 2 days later (Wednesday) and he prescribed me steroids, to get rid of the inflammation, and he gave me Avelox. He told me to start Avelox Saturday, if needed. Saturday came and I seemed to be better. I didn't take it. Sunday came and the ear pain came back. I took Avelox and my ear infection feels like it's 80% healed! It's been about 29 hours since I took the first pill and my ear feels amazing! NO side effects!"

For Bacterial Infection "Moxifloxacin had me in the emergency room. It had me feeling like I was going to collapse. I ended up having 12 side effects when it was all said and done. This pill made me worse. The medication went straight in the toilet"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "I took Avelox first at the hospital intravenously, and then pills afterwards for pneumonia. I think the side effects were worse than my pneumonia. I broke out in blisters on my lips, a rash on my chest, and horrific intestinal problems that would not resolve themselves without going back to the doctor. I also experienced nerve damage from this medication. Shortly after stopping the medication, I noticed the bottoms of my feet were killing me if I didn't wear shoes, and it only progressed. I definitely have suffered nerve damage from this medication, so please be aware of these side effects if you intend to take it. Speak to your doctor in detail. I wish they would have just given me Levaquin, which is the most common medication for pneumonia. I would never, ever, ever take this medication again. I now suffer extreme numbness in my feet, and I'm unable to walk without shoes on due to pain. From what I have read, I am not the only one. It can cause severe nerve and neurological problems. Check with your doctor."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "please read my experience carefully. Months before i took Avelox, the landlord has sprayed all the complex with insect repeller, it was so strong that i felt i couldn't breath, i went straight away to the doctor which they administered ventollin and oxygen. i felt better, but ever sense i became extremely sensitive i could not smell perfumes or Dettol/gas station without feeling suffocated. months after, i got sick with flu, and theflu went to my chest and i couldn't breath and experienced pain in my chest. took to the hospital and was given nebulizer but didn't feel better, so they did an xray and gave me Avalox, i got all the side effects but it cleared it, and my asthma!!! not sensitive anymore! so to keep it short it it fixed my lungs"

For Bacterial Infection "I’m on day 3. Feeling extremely anxious, multiple panic attacks, diarrhea, fatigue, light headedness, some back aches, fast heartbeat. I’ll continue with it as these symptoms seems to come and go alongside the anxiety. The problem is I have no way of contacting a doctor for the next few days so I kind of just have to push through."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "The first two days of taking Avelox were the worst for me; terrible headache and weakness. On the third day the headache was not as severe. I ended up having an upset stomach for the entire ten days. However, I can breath better but I did look forward to taking that last pill."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "A week after I had the H1N1 "swine" flu, I was having trouble breathing (bronchitis or pneumonia?) and the ER doctor prescribed 400 mg Avelox for six days. By the third day I was breathing much clearer, and now at day five it seems I can breathe deeper than I think I have in years. In fact, I think my lungs are a little sore from the good deep-breathing exercise! A great benefit has been that the Avelox has also been clearing up a chronic sinus infection that I've had for years (even after surgery) - the pressure headache is gone, and the post-nasal drip is barely noticeable now. I am not having any side effects that I can attribute directly to the medicine that I know of. So far so good; thank you Avelox!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I have never reacted to an antibiotic, Ever, In my whole life. Until now. Within 30 mins of taking Avelox, I was experiencing nausea, sweats, shortness of breath, heart flutters. I was so weak I had to be carried to bed. Then the vomiting started, it was short-lived, but violent. It also has many NSAID contraindications, so be careful. Especially if your sinus infection is very painful, watch what you take. Glad to see it's worked for some - but for me."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "This past Wednesday my right nostril was a little sore, figured I was a little overly aggressive with the allergy early morning blowing. By Friday 3:30 am I woke up to stabbing pain all on the right side of my face! Swollen and the tissue was HARD, nasal passage (where the infection started) was 3/4 closed! Today is day 4, my face is pliable again, still a little stiff close to my right nostril, but my lips, cheeks and eyes feel great, nostril very slightly tender in comparison to Wednesday. This Avelox works only problem I've had is dry mouth (drinking plenty of water) and a little light headed/dizzy, but I'm not driving so that's okay!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "I had the H1N1 flu and then developed Bronchitis. After 3 days of taking Avelox, I had hives all over my body. I stopped the medicine 5 days ago and still have hives. The bronchitis seems to be gone. I also experience pains in my muscles and weakness and tightness in my chest and palpitations. I don't think I will be taking this medicine again."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "Yes, It works! However, the side effects are horrible. Light-headed and majorly dizzy, to the point where I was very uncomfortable driving. This is the 2nd time I've used it and the same results each time. Caused me to call out of work for a whole week until the side affect were gone."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "Avelox rocks. I had a bacterial infection and did not realize it until I was in an urgent care after 8 days of misery. I went in thinking I had a double ear infection but was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. I am allergic to Amoxicillin so my Doctor gave me Avelox. I don't like it at all because of its side effects but it works. After one day on it, I felt like a million bucks. However, my skin itches a wee bit, I'm dizzy, feel anxious and paranoid. I have almost every side effect. I made the mistake of taking it on an empty stomach and heading to my daughters school to pick her up. Just be careful. Learn how your body reacts to it."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "I was prescribed this medication for bronchitis and it is hands down the most terrible medication I have ever taken. Within an hour of taking the first dose, I had nausea and vomiting so bad that I ended up in the emergency room and even after receiving fluids and IV Phenergan I was still dry heaving. Never again!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "I was diagnosed as having actinomycosis (lumpy jaw). First was put on amoxicillin and then changed to Avelox (now in week 2 of it). Will continue it for another month and a half, then will be switched to another antibiotic for a while. The Dr. is an infectious disease specialist and said that my condition takes a long time to cure. So far, no ill side-effects. The lumpy jaw came about after mouth surgery to remove a cancer, and so far (almost 2 years), no more cancer! I also had radiation and chemo for the cancer. Keeping on keeping on!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "The only problem I have with this medication so far is how expensive it is. So far the only side effects I have had are a light-headed feeling. Similar to a feeling of an antihistimine with psuedophedrine in the mix. I am already starting to feel better."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "This drug definitely saved my life! I began to see changes to my severe pneumonia condition after the 3 tablet with minimal side effects. Course completed: 10 tablets (one per day) Avelon (Moksifloksasien 400mg). After Effects: I continued to have a wheezing sound coming from my lungs for months afterwards even though I completed the course as instructed. Perhaps this was due to a secondary infection?"
