MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) "At 43 I started to get acute gout attacks in my feet and ankle. I ended up in the emergency room twice in 1 month when I started on Allopurinal. They gave me an injection of Toradol and an hour or so later the swelling was gone and I was able to sleep and function. Attacks continued for months and lasted at least a week. Indomethacin, Colchine, & Naproxen have ZERO impact on reduction of the inflammation. Last night I decided I cannot take another $700 bill to the ER and did a teladoc session covered by insurance. The doc prescribed MethylPREDNISolone and within 2 hours I was able to get to sleep. This morning I woke up after 6 hours of sleep feeling like my foot is 95% back to normal. I am planning on working out this afternoon. While this is great to be pain free it is not figuring out the root cause of the problem. I am looking at the gut biome in my own research and believe after looking at many studies I may have an imbalance in the helpful bacteria inside my body."

"After days of natural remedies (tons of cherries, celery, celery root extract, whatever else I could Google) I took this medication and the extreme pain in my toe was gone overnight. I still feel some pain, but had a good nights sleep and was able to walk a short distance without screaming in pain the next morning. Ignore the natural remedies from people who have never had gout. Their uninitiated minds think gout causes pain. No. Gout is days of slow, gnawing, unrelenting torture from an invisible, blunt toothed enemy, whose torment is so bad, cutting ones foot off seems like a viable option. This medication drives it far away."

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) "Works quickly to relieve pain. Rarely need full dosage to completely relieve pain. Have tried shots, indomethacin, Celebrex, Etodolac(severe reaction). This works best, have used for over 10 years now. Use only upon attack."

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) "I usually wait to take this drug in the hope that the gout pain will pass. I ALWAYS regret not taking it right away. You feel relief in a couple of hours and I have never had a side effect or stomach upset. For me it works great. Sometimes though the day after I take the last pill my toe knuckle swells up again. I wait again to restart the dose. "

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) "My first experience with gout. Woke up with left foot pain, thought I got a spider bite while I slept. Quickly worsened where walking was very difficult. Called a foot and ankle specialist who got me in that day. He identified condition as gout prescribed MethylPREDNISolone Tablets 4mg dose pack. Instructed to take initial dose at once with my dinner meal. The pain, swelling, discomfort subsided quickly and by next morning little discomfort remained. Completed the course of medication over the six days but condition was resolved in two days. This medication worked very well for me."

"Best thing ever invented. I had gout nine months ago and let it run the course for about two weeks. Almost killed me. I did All home remedies and everything you found on the net. This time I awoke and could not walk. I knew what was wrong. I hopped to the doctors office and he agreed and gave me the prescription for methylpredinsoline two hours after taking the pills I started feeling better. The next day no pain and I could walk. BEST MEDICINE EVER. THANK YOU WHOEVER FOUND THIS."

"I had one week of help me please trying to use my medications on gout. Gout in the toe in my ankle and then my left wrist. The last place was the wrist and the pain was so bad I started to go to the emergency room but held out for a dr. Visit so much cheaper. My dr. Prescribed me methylprednisone. By the next day the wrist was down to almost normal size and pain was almost gone. I gave it a 10. Its great medicine."

"I had my ankle swell up from gout and couldn't sleep a wink or walk the next morning because of severe pain. Took the pills as directed and 24 hours later was out using the snow blower for 3 hours with no pain. I was just diagnosed with gout, which is a bummer, but now that I know, I can take this medicine and cut gout attacks that sometimes lasted weeks where I would have to use crutches down to hours."

"My primary care doctor prescribed indomethacin and I couldn't tolerate it because, among other things, it made me itch badly and my ears rang a lot. I told my podiatrist and he suggested methprednisolone because I only have to take it for 6 days per episode and likely, it would not make me itch or cause ear ringing. Well, he was RIGHT. The morning after my FIRST DOSE, I felt relief. The pain had substantially decreased and I was walking normally again. After 2 days, the pain was GONE. I still finished the dose as instructed though. I didn't have another episode for 6 months and after my first dose during the 2nd, my pain was gone. This is a great drug and not having to take it every day when I take so many other meds is a God-send."

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) "Fantastic. After the first three doses of the first day of six pills I could tell pain has subsided. After 24 hours and six pills from the first day waking up it was about 80% better less pain, inflammation, and redness had gone down immensely. If it worked that good on the first day the next five days it should be completely gone very soon. I would certainly recommend this skip this a 10 out of 10"

"I experience gout in my big toe (right usually I believe). I had a flare at night while on vacation (for hiking, walking) and walked quite bit the following day (with a good deal of pain). Three days later it was as bad as it's ever been. Red, hot, swollen and inflamed. I was in Maui with my wife. What caused it was 2 meals with healthy servings of Ahi, a 10 hour plane ride with little water and alcohol - wine, a beer, martinis. I overflowed the purine bucket. I called my Dr. Daughter and she wrote me a script. I took the entire first row as soon as I got it (per her directions). Within 2-3 hours, the gnawing pain subsided, I was able to sleep all night and walk (hobble) in the AM. I'm 75% better after 24 hours, but can't go on walk."

"Given this medication to prevent a gout flare up. It cleared it up almost right away and I have only taken four of the first day pills so far. Problem is I recently started itching all over. No hives or rash... just feel itchy all over. Is this normal?"

Solu-Medrol (methylprednisolone) "Sometimes takes several hours to work after being administered but usually relief is dramatic. Best medication I have had to relieve the pain and swelling after an acute attack of gout without having a Cortizone injection in the joint. The injection in the joint is very painful but works quicker, but i.v treatment is the best route."

"I started the medicine a couple of hours before taking the indomethacin. I got immediate relief from pain. Today is my third day on the program. The joint of big toe is still red, but I continue to be pain free. I think sleep apnea, aggravated by rhinitis (hay fever) and not drinking enough water could be responsible for the flare up. The last attack happened about the same time last year (during hay fever season.)"

"All these really good reviews are depressing me. I had my first ever gout attack 7 days ago and have been in mind blowing pain the entire time. My doc prescribed methyl prednisone 3 days ago, but I have so far seen absolutely no improvement, in fact, my symptoms might be worse. I have another 3 days of the pills to take, but so far it's not been effective for me. I hope that changes soon!"

"I’ve been getting more and more gout flare ups recently like two a month, in hands, knees and big toes. There are days that I can barely walk. I stopped drinking alcohol completely, I watch my diet and I still get frequent flare ups. My Dr always gave me Colcrys and that usually did the trick, but lately my body doesn’t seem to respond to that medication. I went to a rheumatologist and she prescribes for gout methylprednisolone 4MG and it works I felt better within a few hours after taking my first dose. I had no side effects except maybe for some gas. I know by reading the reviews that some people may not have the same results because everybody is different, but like I said it worked for me. So if you have painful gout flare ups like me, you should give it a try."

"I noticed the Medrol pack worked wonders on my joints. It clears it up so quickly, like other reviews have been saying. I was curious if it helped too, and it led me here. I'm happy to be one who's benefited from this. I normally do the 6-day packs - clears my joints that were causing problems to clear up!"

"First gout attack in 8 years. I take a low dose daily of allopurinol. Managed to allow myself to get dehydrated (too much coffee, allergy medication) and also was not exactly watching what I was eating and drinking. Woke up with that familiar big toe pain, by evening I couldn't walk, and the pain was so bad even after taking two aleve and a Percocet I was up most of the night in excruciating pain. Called my family doc in the morning and he called this methelpredsolone in to my pharmacy. My prescription plan picked it up and it cost me $5! Took the 1st day course as directed. Woke up this morning with only slight discomfort! I have never had a gout attack that calmed down this quickly. Usually did the indocin thing which took much longer!"

"I've had problems with gout since I was diagnosed with CKD. Every six months it comes along. It started in my big toe on my right foot. I couldn't even take the weight of sheets on my foot. Super painful. In the course of a year it happened three times on my right foot then went to my left foot same area, big toe. Then it changed up and went to the side of each of my feet. Last flare was in the ankle of my right foot. Every time a flare comes it's as bad or worse than the first. It always seems to happen over night. Methylprednisolone has been the best thing that has ever come along. With out it I'd be on crutches and unable to wear a shoe. It starts working its magic after the first twenty four hour doses. I always finish the six day pack. Thank God some doctors know what's going on with just an exam. Gout sucks."

"In the hospital for 2 days with excrutiating pan in my breast bone and lower back with no diagnosis then I saw my podiatrist for a scheduled appointment and he said you have gout... Prescribed Methyipredmilsolone and the pain was gone in the first day. Maybe the diagnosticians at Eisenhower Medical in Rancho Mirage should visit Dr Andew Rothstein in Indio for some insight... At Eisenhower a nuclear stress test of my heart was ordered which I refused (my heart is fine) and I saved Medicare $10,000."

"I have been taking these dose packs when I have a serious gout attack. Usually in 2 days my painful gout is gone. What else could you ask for. Quality of life is back. Prior to this, nothing seem to work. Painkillers are usually addicting and really can't cure the pain. I thought my quality of lie was taking a turn for the worst with gout. However, once I discovered the drug I was so happy, Now if they could only find much better prevention Meds for gout. The Colchicine .6mg ? Allopurinol 100mg ? Just don't seem to prevent."

"I just had a gout attack last night and woke up at 2:30 AM started to feel badly sore and painful on my right big toe join. The worst ever location of gout attack. Could not barely walk even just 3 meters to bath room. Luckily got some left over Colchicine 0.5 mg so took 1 tablet and forced myself to sleep again but the pain was just a constant through-out morning. Managed to see my internal medicine doctor and prescribed me this Methylprednisolone generic 8mg and took one just after lunch together with Etoricoxib, MSD 90mg and I was awed that 3 hours later the aggravated pain soon soothing off and now I could walk with small steps and the swollen gradually relieved (although still some reddish around the joint). This medicine works like a charm for me.."

"Had excruciating gout pain all day and thru the evening, was thinking about riding it out with plenty of water and diet, I don't know why, I must be crazy! Took one 20mg dose at night and when I woke up 60% of the swelling and pain had gone away. Took half of the original dose that night, 10 mg, and woke up the following morning with 90% of painstaking ordeal remedied. Great medicine! I have had severe debilitating gout attacks in the past and tried different meds and methods, but this is so simple, inexpensive, and effective that I wouldn't go any other way."
