For Inflammatory Conditions "Was prescribed this for a rash/skin irritation. I didn't see results until 3-4 days into the 6 day pack. Side effects for me were bad heartburn (usually at night when I went to lay down) and gas/bloating. Overall it wasn't anything too miserable. I'm only day 5 now and rash seems to be completely gone."

For Inflammatory Conditions "My lower back pain was getting worse. I couldn't put on my shoes anymore. I started a treatment with Methylprednisolone and within the first day 70% of my mobility returned. I couldn't believe it. It's great!"

For Inflammatory Conditions "I just completed a 5 day pack of Methylprednisone 4mg and my neck pain gradually went away but I am paying the price because I have had upset stomach, diarrhea, etc. since the third day of the five day program. However the pain is almost gone. I hope my stomach restores itself soon because I don't remember feeling so bad. It's like a 5 day hangover."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Pain in my neck and shoulders was so severe that my Ortho Doc prescribed this dose pack for Cervical Degenerative Disease. It has helped relieve the pain, but hopes it lasts. The side effect have been dizziness, gas, indigestion, but have been able to lie down to get some sleep."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I had L4 minimal evasive surgery on a Tuesday, went home Wednesday and Wednesday night my sciatica was killing me which was what the surgery was to correct. Called the Dr on Friday and was prescribed to take all the 1st days dosage at once and to continue to with regular dosage. My Saturday evening I was feeling 90% better, by Monday I was still doing well with a bit of an ache. My biggest issue was no sleep. I was awake until 3 and 4 am during those days. I will trade the not sleeping for the reduced pain."

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) for Neuralgia "I have taken this medicine twice in my life. 5 years ago for Bursitis in my hip. Worked like a charm. Pain and misery gone! It takes a day or 2 to get used to medicine. I have a very sensitive system and can't take a lot of pills. Now 5 years later, taking it for pudendal nerve pain and its working on that. I'm on day 5. Doctors have tried me on Amitriptyline, Gabapentin, and then asked me to try Lyrica and Cymbalta. I asked my Uro-Gyne to try this med and she said it wouldn't help me. So I asked pain management Doctor to try this and he said "NO one has given you this yet?" Acting shocked and then wrote script immediately. Amitriptyline made me feel like I was having a full blown heart attack, so that was a no go after 1 pill. Gabapentin puts you on planet Pluto and just feels like a band aid thats not actually trying to heal at all. Said NO way to Lyrica and Cymbalta. I think methylprednisolone has been a god send. Really helping nerve/inflammation and still feeling like myself."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have just had a 5 day course of the tablets in conjunction with Gabapentin 100mg and have to say after the 3rd dose I was absolutely floored! Really took it out of me physically with extreme tiredness and general weakness. Think I would rather have done without them had I realised how I was going to feel."

For Inflammatory Conditions "My doctor prescribed me methylprednisolone for a sinus infection after an antibiotic did not work. I have had two cervical fusion operations and am fused from C4-8. I have had pain in my neck for 5 years, ever since the second surgery. I am on the second day of the steroid and have no discomfort in my neck. I can't believe it and it is too good to be true. Wondering how long this will last."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have multiple herniated discs and I was given the 6 day pac. I followed the instructions but I've had no improvements. All it did was cause nausea at night, heart burn, insomnia and had my anxiety through the roof if I tried to fall back to sleep."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I strained my back and was in pain every time I moved the wrong way or changed positions, after working too hard on an outdoor project. My PCP prescribed a Methylprednisolone steroid pack. The medication started working the first day and has "loosened my back muscles" and reduced the pain considerably. I have 1 day left of the medication and feel pretty good. I have a history of depression and did feel a little jittery and have trouble getting to sleep, but nothing too bad that I would stop taking the medicine. Also having gas and the medicine is making me hungry. For me benefits definitely outweigh the side effects."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I had Bronchitis or respiratory infection and I was given the 6 day pack 4 mg of methylprednisolone and it did make me jittery and have energy for the first day. I do have anxiety but this set me off in panic attacks! I went to the ER twice once on the last day of the meds and again 2 weeks later and they say it should be out of my system as I only took it for 6 days but I’ve been off the meds for 3 weeks now and still have insomnia where I can’t sleep and wake up every two hours or so when I do. I’ve never taken this medicine before and after reading about it I see if you have anxiety it’s something you really shouldn’t take but the insomnia is insane!"

For Inflammatory Conditions "I was prescribed this medicine for swollen tonsils, as I came up negative on the strep test. I was hesitant at first after reading reviews but with our Europe trip in a week (at the time) I wanted to feel better, so I took it. The 6 day pack, tapering down the dosage. The first day and every time after I had a headache and felt slightly nauseous. I was in a great mood as our trip was fast approaching. Fast forward to 2/3 days after the pack, my tonsils are swollen once again and ongoing headaches and terrible mood swings. I feel great sadness then anger. This is totally not my personality. It’s the day of our trip and I’m sitting here holding tears back as I write this review. I hope this goes away quickly."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Sorry to hear about the discomfort/side effects of others. By the 2nd day on a (generic Medrol dose pack), I breathed a huge sigh of relief.I have wondered why it wasn't offered to me sooner--a real God-send. It has made the biggest difference in my enjoyment of the Holidays. Whether this ends up being temporary or not, it was a nice vacation from pain that was over-riding pain meds. Off I go to my first PT session this afternoon, and I'm not dreading it.--very thankful."

MethylPREDNISolone Dose Pack (methylprednisolone) for Inflammatory Conditions "I had not been stung by a wasp in 28 years and then within a week got stung twice. The first time I did not go to the doctor for 24 hours and got a cortisone shot and had a lot of swelling, itching and burning. 6 days later got stung again and this time my hand swelled and burned and I went to doctor right away. I got 6 day dose pack and was instructed to take the first day dose all at once then follow instructions for remaining 5 days. About an hour after taking medication the itching, burning quit and by morning there was no swelling or pain. Now I have to keep an Epipen with me."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I only gave it an 8 because of the side affects, flush felling, puffy face, hunger, etc, but I was in severe pain from an autoimmune issue. My back went out which in turn made my inflammation all over my body react so the pain became unbearable. This has happened 2 times and after only the 1st day, I began to feel relief, and after day 6 I felt like a teenager again, not an old lady who can't move, so, as I don't want to be on it forever, it sure beats feeling like I can't go on anymore because of the pain."

Depo-Medrol (methylprednisolone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "Having had rheumatoid arthritis with secondary sjorgrens and Raynaud's for twenty odd years I have tried so many combinations of medication. The best result was Methotrexate but unfortunately after a bout of pneumonia this was stopped. I was at my wits end and lost interest in everything.....even the news that I was going to be a grandma! My rheumatologist, seeing my distress gave me the injection and its like a new world! I have the odd 'ouch' but I can now sleep, my memory is back, I can smile and mean it. Don't know how long it will last but for me its been a bit of a lifesaver."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I was proscribed Methylprednisolone for a sinus infection by a teledoc. It’s a doctor via a phone app that uses video chat to speak with you. I’ve always suffered from sinus infections, so I knew exactly what I had and told the Doctor my symptoms. They gave me an antibiotic on top of Methylprednisolone. It’s only been my first day on the 21 pack, but I already feel a difference! While there’s no longer any sinus pain....I’m still running fevers, even higher than before, and I also have an extreme increase in urination. On top of that...this medicine is hard to swallow. Literally. It tastes very foul, so be sure to swallow it fast! But all in all, I think it’s worth it. My pain went away in just a day."

For Asthma, acute "I got the flu and my lungs were so tight the doctor couldn't even hear my wheeze anymore and I could barely breathe. I felt like I only had the use of the upper 1/4 of my lungs. I was told that I would have to go to the ER if I got any worse. I was worried about steroid side effects because I had a very bad experience with regular prednisone in the past (worst headache of my life and mood issues). Thankfully the medrol dose pack 4mg worked really well for me with no side effects except maybe some sweating (could also be from the flu). On the first day I took the 6 pills, 2 at a time and it had an effect within the first hour. On the third day I felt like my lung capacity was back to normal. It also helped with the muscle pain from coughing."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I am currently on this medicine for an inflamed sinus cavity, with 2 more days left. I have been experiencing HORRIBLE backaches to the point of wearing a heating pad on my back the past 3 days, the stomach cramps, constipation, fatigue, extreme thirst, UTI like symptoms and insomnia I've been experiencing!! I didn't know would happen, my pharmacist didn't really mention all of these side effects to me when I got this pill. Anyways though, I have NOT been able to breathe out of the one nostril and the other was barely open too which makes for a very difficult night of sleep however, this pill has done wonders! Within the second day I was able to breathe and lay on my one side which is something I haven't been able to do in a long time!"

For Inflammatory Conditions "Methylprednisolone tablet dose pack saved my life, last 3 months after a dog scratch I have lived in severe pain. Sadly all doctors refer you from one to next, all my labs showing normal, sadly a rheumatologist doctor told me I have no inflammation but pain, which is not true, if he only listened to his patient, so god bless my awesome foot doctor gave this to me for foot issue due to inflammation, last night was first night last 3 months I did not sleep in pain and burning in my knees. Have 4 more days of 6. Curious to see if it’s permanent or temporary. I was so touched for pain to go away. There are so many doctors who don’t really care about people, have no compassion or care but they are doctors. Find a doctor by asking neighbors, freinds, stay away from those who should not even treat a dog."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Took the dose pack for 5 days for pain in foot. Next day had horrible pain in shoulders, & muscle stiffness & pain in legs. Pain & stiffness travelled from left to right side. Ortho surgeon and he said he never prescribes this drug. Went a immunologist MD. Had blood work everything Normal. After 6 months went to RA Specialist- no diagnosis for RA or other autoimmune disease. Still have muscle pain & stiffness and joint pain. Had x-rays - all normal. Ruled out everything possible. Pain has gone on for over a year. Know of many others who had or are experiencing the same. Just found out I need a total hip replacement due to the deterioration of the femur. My DR said prednisone can cause this..BEWARE of this drug and stay away from it! The side effects that they have are not always disclosed. From what I found out many others have experienced the same. RA Drs like to prescribe this drug and will disagree but be warned If the Ortho Surgeons will not prescribe you know there is something wrong"

For Neuralgia "I had severe Sciatic pain for all of 5 months, and after seeing 5 different doctors, the last one had me on the Medrol Pak, and within 7 days, all my pain had completely gone away. No after effects or problems. I had gone through MRIs, and Pressure Cuff tests, Physical Therapy etc. but the only thing that helped rid the pain was; the Medrol Pak therapy. Excellent medicine!"
