Skelaxin (metaxalone) for Fibromyalgia "I take metaxalone when I feel the pain coming on. For at least three days then I stop because I have to still take aspirin for other conditions. It alleviates some of the pain."

For Muscle Spasm "I have taken this med 800mg three times a day for two plus years. It does absolutely nothing for back pain from muscle spasms. The only good thing I can say is Workers Compensation pays for it."

Skelaxin (metaxalone) for Muscle Spasm "I had a back spasm. The pain went on for almost two weeks. I got a prescription for Skelaxin. It did nothing for me. Taking 800mg of ibuprofen did a better job."

Skelaxin (metaxalone) for Muscle Spasm "Have taken only for two days but seems to have helped. Have a L4 L5 problem and after a recent flair up this was prescribed. Seems to have helped to speed recovery."

Skelaxin (metaxalone) for Fibromyalgia "I have Fibromyalgia and was prescribed this to help with the pain. It didn't work well at all. Carisoprodol is a much better muscle relaxant. I also take Tylenol w/ Codeine #3 which also helps."

Skelaxin (metaxalone) "I was prescribed Skelaxin after being diagnosed with advanced DDD and stenosis. It doesn't help with the pain and I get the same drowsy effects that I had with Flexerill."
