Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Amenorrhea "Took 10mg Provera for 7 days for fertility reasons. Will NEVER take this medication again. I got such severe anxiety to the point where I ended up going to ER because I thought something was wrong with me. I have never had such emotional instability in my life. About 3 weeks after taking the last pill my panic attacks finally subsided. Also my vision is all messed up now and I am having muscle twitches. I did get my period, but was too bothered by all the provera side effects that I didn’t end up going through with the clomid."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Amenorrhea "I have PCOS and haven’t had regular (if any at all) periods for 2 years since coming off the contraceptive pill. Doctor prescribed me provera for 10 days and 2 days after finishing this 10 day course, I got my period. During the 10 days I had a little breast tenderness, cramping and moodiness but very mild."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I took Provera 5mg for abnormal uterine bleeding. Basically my period went on for almost three weeks. I went to the hospital (had a ultrasound & everything was fine.) they told me to take the pills for 7 days once a day. I took 2 a day for 3 days & the last pill on the 4th day. I'm a heavy set girl so 10mg wouldn’t have hurt me. The first day I took them I took them in the morning & by the afternoon the bleeding stopped. Throughout me taking the medication I had no bleeding. Three days after the last pill was taken my period came on. I just woke up one morning & I was spotting. By that night I was bleeding very heavy. I wanna say the heaviest I ever been but most of it was blood clots. All sizes. That went on for about 5 days then the 6th morning it almost instantly stopped. I was spotting very lightly & by that night it completely stopped. I’m a 20 year old by the way. Have not been diagnosed with PCOS or any of the sort."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Amenorrhea "Hello everyone! I just wanted to give a recent review in provera. Before I started provera tablets my issue was I didn't have a period for 4 months and I didn't understand why. My doctor tested my hormones and everything came back normal. I was so frustrated and confused because I didn't understand why my period had stopped. My boyfriend and I are trying for our third child, so not having a period was a big problem. Finally my doctor prescribed me provera. 1 pill for 10 days. After 3 days post taking the pill my period finally come yayyyyy!!! I was so nervous because reading the reviews had me feeling like the provera wasn't going to work. So I would recommend this medicine for anybody that have irregular periods or if your periods stop."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Amenorrhea "I was on depo provera injection for 7 years, came off the injection and was missing my menstrual cycle for 7 months to follow. Husband & I are TTC, so OBGYN put me on provera 10mg x 7 days to strike my cycle. I had brown spotting lightly on day 6 and 7 after stopping provera, thought it didn’t work properly, called my doctor and got worried. Actual flow didn’t come until day 16 after stopping provera. The period was moderate, nothing extreme and lasted 3 days. We’re not quite sure if it was a provera withdraw bleed or my body getting back into function..but needless to say, it did something! Now hoping and waiting for a positive ovulation test! Be advised-It can take up to 3 weeks for a withdraw bleed from provera, give it some time!"

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Endometriosis "I have been on Depo now for over 20 years - I should be paid to be their poster child. It was the miracle medicine for me and my body. After 10 horrific years of monthly hell, I started Depo. Immediately, the periods went away, my hormones balanced and I literally regained my life. I have had no long term effects, no weight gain, no side effects at all. For the right person, this works amazingly well. For others, it does not. But it IS worth a try!"

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got my first Depo-provera shot third week of October 2019. It is now June, I've had 4 shots and I’ve bled almost everyday. Sex is painful because progesterone makes me dry and I’m bleeding all the time. Almost 9 months straight of bleeding. I want to stop but I’m trying to wait for the 12 month mark where they said bleeding stops. We will see."

This is day 9. I stopped bleeding 2 days ago. I love this medicine, really. I'm hungry more often, but that's okay. Unsure what will happen when I stop taking it."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I thought the shot would be easy due to the fact of taking it every three months compared to the pill taking it everyday, but the shot does not work for my body! I have been bleeding for over a month now. I am going back to the pill."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Amenorrhea "Took Provera 10mg for 7days. Then waited for withdrawal bleed which seemed like forever, by day 9 I called GYN panicked thinking it wasn’t working, she said it could take up to 14 days after taking last pill to work. Was getting discouraged, setup appointment with Gyn for 14th day to discuss my other options, BUT on day 11 I started my flow! Be patient unlike myself, it really does work! Will be taking Clomid again after 5 days which has given me more side effects in the past than Provera did. Took at night before bed with little side effects."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started the depo at my 6 weeks check up after my 4th child. I get it every 3 months and have received in total 3 shots so far. I have been bleeding with a light period ever since the day I first got it. It's not as heavy as my usual period but it's enough to have to always wear a pad.."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Birth Control "Please DO NOT use this HORRIBLE injection. As a medical scientist, I CANNOT believe how Depo-Provera passed the human trials and is on the market despite all the LIFE THREATENING side effects. I was hospitalised TWICE with severe bloating and kidney pain. It caused water retention (edema) all over my body, feet, legs, face, and abdomen! Constant dizziness, nausea and cramps to the point that I can't function at work or home. This injection should NOT be on the MARKET! It really ruined my life and I don't want anyone else to experience this. FDA has a website where you can report all the adverse side effects of any medication, and it encourages people to report by either calling them or submitting an online form. Please, whoever reads this if you have issues with Depo, go now to FDA's website and complain about the horrible side effects you have experienced. FDA will investigate the safety of this drug and potentially retract it from the market! It is our human right to safe medication and this drug violates that right."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got the 3 month Depo Provera injection. I experience irregular bleeding (having periods after every 2 weeks and spotting in-between). This occurred for 3 months 'on the depo provera'. I did not go back for another shot cause I switched to copper IUD straight after the 3 months was over. I bled every single day (and not spotting) for nearly 3 months and 2 weeks. I guess it took nearly three months for the shot to wear off for the bleeding to stop completely. Worst Nightmare. Was always tired, hair started to fall, experienced depression, low sex drive.. I discouraged all my friends from taking this."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My shot ended in August and since then I have been constantly bleeding. I went in and saw a doctor about this issue and they told me to take 3 pain relievers 4 times a day to stop the bleeding. I have tried that and I am still bleeding. I will never get on this shot again. I have been on this shot before and never had issues like this."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I never comment on stuff like this but I must share my experience to help other women who have also had a bad experience with Depo provera. I will get straight to it. I took the shot October 15, 2019 I stopped bleeding this morning. I purchased evening primrose from GMC 1300 gel capsule and I take 3 gel ibuprofen. I started taking the primrose after reading another post and she stated she stopped bleeding in one day. I was tired of the doctor telling me you have to wait for it to get out of your system I took matters into my own hands. Because of one of you ladies I stopped bleeding. I will continue to take them until there is not a dot of blood left in my pad. Like I said I take 1300 evening primrose I have seen women take a higher dose this dose works for me and I take 600mg ibuprofen I wouldn’t recommend taking the that dose everyday use at your own discretion. NSAIDS are nephrotoxic. This works for me and I don’t plan on taking the NSAIDS for too much longer."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Good evening, I stated my cycle like normal only it lasted over a month. I freaked and went to the Doctor because I was going insane. Got given a 14 day course of Provera and I've been taking it for 2 days now and the bleeding has stopped completely. I'm scared that if I stop taking it I'll start to bleed again. I have to go back to get the ultrasound to figure out what happened. I've always had irregular periods but normally I just would skip 3 or 4 months. And start lasting 4-5 days most of the time it's stress. This time it started and was beyond heavy. Not a lot of pain thought. I wish everyone hope. For the madness we all share.. thanks for the comments. It's helped me a lot.."

Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got the Depo shot in October 2014. It is now February 2015 and I have been either spotting or full on bleeding since then. I can't have sex because I start to bleed as if my period just started. I've been on and off the Depo for 4 years and this is the first time I've had a bad experience with it. I also gained 25 pounds since October, but I eat healthy and go to the gym regularly."
