For ADHD "My 9 ur old is doing awesome on this. He only takes 20 mg For 7 months now and it does just enough to get him through school . No change in his outgoing sweet kind personality!!! He had stomach pain the first week he said it wasn’t bad -and that’s it !! It’s helped him so much!"

For ADHD "I have a son that has struggled with an attention problem in school since kindergarten. He is now 11 years old. We tried everything not to put him on medication. The homework struggle and impulsiveness became too much for us to handle, and we finally agreed to try something. His doctor told us about a new ADHD medication called Vyvanse. Believe this or not, it was like magic the first day. He was able to get all his work done in class, and went from an A,B,C student to all A's and one B in one quarter. We have the report cards to prove it. The side effects are minimal and for him the 30mg works great. I encourage anyone battling this problem to ask their child's doctor about Vyvanse. It has changed my son's life as well as ours."

For Binge Eating Disorder "My doctor put my on Vyvanse for binge eating. My entire day revolved around food and I would eat everything in signt then feel guilty and sick to my stomach. I ate when I was not even hungry and could not turn down food. Nothing I tried helped and over the last two years it has gotten so much worse. I started with the 50mg dose and the first day I felt high but from the second day on I have not felt like that. I have lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks and no longer think about food all day. I drink a gallon of water a day and make much wiser choices about what I eat now. I do not crave sweets or junk food any longer. I am so glad to be on this medicine because I was at a complete loss about what to do."

For Binge Eating Disorder "Update from my my April post...the drug is an absolute miracle that's saved me from the out of control eating and depression that consumed me every single day. Taking Vyvanse 50 mg helps me to never even think about food and plan binge evenings and weekends. In fact, I never want to eat large or small quantities of really bad foods at all anymore. I've lost all my binge weight! I hope to never go off the med for fear of my eating disorder returning. It is the only thing that's worked for me after years of therapy/treatment. Amazing!"

For ADHD "When I started my treatment with Vyvanse for ADD, it was a blessing: for the first time I felt motivated to do great at school and have better grades because I had never felt so focused and clear minded in my life, after years of unsuccessful treatments with Ritalin, Concerta and Aradix. But that's what happens to everyone when they're first introduced to Vyvanse, it fixes your entire life and then suddenly and surprisingly it ruins it in new ways. It's been little more than a year since I started taking it, and it didn't take much long for the bad effects of it to hit me: every time I consume this drug I get depressed, I feel empty and anxious, my head hurts and I lose all my motivation because the sadness it brings is stronger than any other positive effect it is intended to give its users. I have never been this depressed in my life, and I blame this drug for that, I mostly (if not only) feel this way when I'm on it."

For Binge Eating Disorder "I suffer from both BED and bipolar disorder. Binge eating is a big trigger for my episodes so it effects my life in a huge way. I am not overweight by anyone's standards other than my own, so I have not lost weight on this drug, but this medication has practically saved my life. I refer to it as miracle drug. Food no longer controls my life. I no longer binge in private so I'm free to eat in public and enjoy food the way it was meant to be enjoyed, with friends and loved ones. I can eat a cookie without eating the entire box. I can eat a scoop of ice cream without devouring the entire carton. I can eat something unhealthy without being depressed and miserable for the entire week because of it."

For ADHD "I take 60mg of Adderall and had to switch because of the shortage that is happening with Adderall, and Vyvanse made me feel absolutely miserable. 70mg of Vyvanse put me in a place that I never want to go to ever again!"

For ADHD "Works better than any other stimulant medicine I have tried. I have sensitivity to stimulants; it causes bruxism. The bruxism is absent with a 20 mg dose, and minimal with a 30 mg dose. Other stimulants - I cannot take even the lowest dose without getting the bruxism side effect to the point I can't stand it. Also, I can't 'feel' when it starts working and stops working - which is great. It wears off slowly starting about 7-8 hours after I take it. After 10-11 hours I do not feel it in my system anymore. No insomnia or 'crashing feeling'. Weight loss (okay since I am fat) about 25 lbs in 3 months. My only complaint is it makes me want to smoke. I quit smoking a long time ago. I think about wanting to have a cigarette several times a day."

For ADHD "Incredible. I was on Adderall for over a year. My doctor switched me to Vyvanse four days ago. Since day one, I have felt better than ever. That 'nervous-jittery feeling' (perfect description) as well as anxiety and teeth-grinding that I had while on Adderall is totally gone. I feel 'normal'. I am able to concentrate and focus calmly, and am no longer plagued by excessive energy. I feel healthy, and everyone around me has noticed the positive difference in such a short amount of time."

For Binge Eating Disorder "I have struggled with BED for years. I have been in therapy and tried many different coping mechanisms. I even tried joining Overeaters Anonymous. Nothing worked. I started to see a psychiatrist who tried me on an antidepressant. While I must admit I did have a general sense of feeling better I was still binging. I have been on Vyvanase 30mg for about 6 weeks now. I have not binged in those 6 weeks! At first I did experience headaches, nothing a Tylenol couldn't take care of. The headaches disappeared after a week. I still feel the urge to binge at times but the Vyvanse along with the coping skills puts me back in control. Thanks to this medication I am in control of my binges and my health."

For ADHD "I'm 24 and was diagnosed with ADHD in March of 2020. I've been on the Vyvanse train since July of this year. After trying a couple of other meds between '21-'22, I was nervous because of past history with other stimulants. To my surprise, I took very well considering the side effects. Headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, but those went away within a week or so. I have tried different dosages, 30 to 40 to 50 back to 40 because I thought 50 was way too much right now. Presently, I would tell everybody that when increasing or decreasing dosages, the side effects do not last long. Overall, this medication has made me a better son, a better friend, a better listener. I really do love this medication and recommend it for ADHD."

For ADHD "My 11-year-old son was diagnosed with ADHD 2 months ago. He was failing school (all F's but tested at a high school level). After starting Vyvanse, he now has all A's and two B's. It has helped him to concentrate and work to his ability. This new drug has given him his life back. Side effects were mild, and the life effects were out of this world!"

For Binge Eating Disorder "Binge eating for as long as I can remember. I wasn't really alarmed until I surpassed my highest weight despite being quite athletic, actually, and not morbidly obese. I have been trying to lose the same 10-20 lbs for the past 5 years with no luck. I started investigating and weighing out my options. Vyvanse was the most viable. It checks all the boxes: 1) covered by insurance 2) can be taken short-term and long-term 3) little to no side effects 4) EFFECTIVE. It just works. Now of course, I am starting with the right mindset after so many failures, so I know there is no magic pill. But this is coming close to it."

For Binge Eating Disorder "So I started this Vyvanse for my ADD and I was trying to lose weight at the time too. Once I first started taking it, I saw an improvement. Before meds at all I was 184lb, when i first began vyvanse I was 150. 4 months later, and I am 127. I barely have an appetite but I always do late at night I guess when it wears off. "

For Binge Eating Disorder "Been taking Vyvanse for Binge eating disorder on and off for 2 years. It is the only thing that's helped me stop bingeing, therapy has never worked. It lifts the mental fog that usually clouds my judgement and leads to a binge, helps me understand my body's "I'm full" cues, and reduces cravings. Now that I've fully committed to take it daily, its even helped me challenge my worst disordered food fears. In the past when I lost weight I only ate low calorie unhealthy foods, but now I have the ability to challenge myself to eat healthy too, without being scared."

For ADHD "Parents putting there kids on this stuff, yikes, man I just feel bad for your poor child. You realize you're giving them pure amphetamine right? I would avoid taking amphetamines until your brain has finished developing. Age 21-25. It's just absurd that something like Vyanse is prescribed to children. That said, for adults, this stuff is wondrous. Has changed my life. I've been taking 60mg Vyvanse for 3yrs straight with zero issues. Zero break. Zero tolerance. I'm 32. Male. I've literally tried it all (Dex, Desoxyn, Addie, Provigil) & nothing comes close Vyvanse! If you truly have ADHD as an adult, this drug will alter your life in such a positive way! Adults only though!!! Common parents, you're totally screwing your kids over."

For ADHD "42-year-old male recently diagnosed with ADD (no hyperactivity). Vyvanse is the only medication I've tried and I'm reasonably happy with it. Started 30 mg for 2 weeks. Felt a little jittery and had a funny taste in my mouth. Increased to 70 mg. No longer feel jittery, no funny taste, but my mouth is always dry so I drink a lot of water. Vyvanse seems to help me get more done. I can't say I'm more focused, but I am more motivated, so the end result is more productivity, though not always directed in the best place. It decreased my appetite, so it was easier to switch to a healthier diet. Lost more than 25 lbs. in the first 3 months, which has also helped increase self-esteem, motivation, and energy level."

For ADHD "This medication has changed my life. I didn't start taking it until I was 24 years old. I honestly thought it was hopeless trying to figure out my life. I kept failing college courses, struggled with my job, struggled with relationships. I genuinely thought I was stupid. Sounds dramatic, but that's honestly I how I felt. I just couldn't think or concentrate. Then I tried Vyvanse. I was really against stimulants or any type of drug that could be addictive. But, I'm SO grateful I tried it. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. I'm a nursing student with a 4.0. I have an amazing relationship and I enjoy my job. It's not a miracle drug, but it really helps me focus and do the things I know I can do. Definitely recommend it."

For ADHD "I'm 47 years old never did good in school but managed. My wife has been saying I am ADD and spoke to my doctor about it so after a few months of office visits, I go monthly he said he's been watching my responses and wrote me Vyvanse 30mgs. All I can say is WOW finally everything makes sense I get things done no late afternoon crash its fantastic !! I have social anxiety very bad and this miracle drug took it all away !! I'm on my second month and higher dose just to 40mgs and its perfect !! I actually hugged my doctor on the following visit and thanked him for finally turning my light switch on ! I can't say enough about this miracle drug Vyvanse !! Now I can look forward to a new day instead of dreading having to get out of bed !"

For Binge Eating Disorder "Three years ago I had bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve) and lost 130lbs in just over 12 months. I was pounds less than my surgeons expected goal of 180lbs. But, honestly, I continue to have binging episodes. I did, and still do, benefit from the 6 months of pre surgery lifestyle classes and can still only eat about 6oz of food per meal, so still have good restriction. I actually do manage my food well about 75% of the time. Mostly I would binge on chocolate, fruit or cookies (in that order). For a long time it was just a "slip", lately my binges have lasted for 2-4 days. I started Vivance (Vyvanse) just over 3 weeks ago. From the very first day I was able to follow my intermittent fasting, 1,800 calorie maintenance eating plan. I would like to loose another 10 pounds, putting my BMI in the normal range, but have not restricted my calories, so (duh) no weight loss yet. But it does feels great to be in control."

For ADHD "I had taken Vyvanse as a kid, worked great for a bit, then it just stopped working years later, so I stopped taking it, my grades went down to being bad 10th grade, I tried it again because I was failing classes cause I could never stay focused, I took it again, immediately my grades became better and I finished off the year amazingly, the year after it wasn't as effective but I also started taking AP at the time, but I could feel myself getting more sidetracked, I had a girlfriend at the time, Vyvanse changed my personality a lot. I wouldn't have much emotion if it wasn't related to what I was doing and started to get in fights with my girlfriend, and fights with my parents, with my girlfriend I was obsessed with sex, being right, and in general I would just be angry all the time, it would hit its peak when the crash would happen later, eventually she left me and I fell apart and stopped taking it so I wouldn't hurt anyone, and to this day since I stopped taking it I'm not happy."

For ADHD "I just started on 50 mg only took it 4 times in a week and a half , starts working in 40 minutes, recommend having breakfast with it cause you lose your metabolism though out the day , I felt amazing didn't feel like annoying anyone, I behaved and concentrated, but my side affects were that I got up from bed got lightheaded and nearly fainted. My heart was beating so fast at random times and my breathing increased. 2 nights ago I thought I was going it was the end of my life as my heart was beating so fast I could see it beating and I was a bit of out of breath."

For ADHD "Oh, if there was an 11, I would give Vyvanse this rating, if it was not for one side effect. But I am not 100% sure it is the Vyvanse. I have been having pretty bad chest pains since I started on Vyvanse a couple of months ago. I even went to the ER for an asthma attack. The trouble is, for the last few years (pre-ADHD diagnosis and any meds) I have been slowly growing into adult onset asthma. So it's tough even for the doctors to tell if it's from the asthma or the Vyvanse! The ER doc said no, Vyvanse shouldn't cause chest pains, so did my psychiatrist (who I trust and really respect). Long story short--I LOVE VYVANSE!! Has given me my life whole new meaning. I am the best version of myself. My whole entire extended family notices!"

For ADHD "I was diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD (resulting in extreme panic attacks) about 7 years ago. I went down the line, starting with antidepressants, then Adderall and, finally, Vyvanse. I had a hard time with Adderall as I felt the jolt after taking it daily, even with XR and I broke out with these horrible cyst-like pimples. My psychologist had heard of Vyvanse and recommended changing. I started with a low dose of 20mg.. And finally ended up with 60mg XR daily. It has been life-changer for me. I take one pill first thing in the morning and that's all she wrote ☺. I haven't had a panic attack since I started them. My Dr. encourages me to go on "drug holidays" monthly, which keeps me from going up in dosage. I will say, if you go without them longer than about 5 days, there are the side effects of dry mouth and tension headaches which reside by day 3. Good luck and I do recommend for ADHD!!"

For Binge Eating Disorder "For 23 yrs, I tried everything to fix my severe BED/bulimia. Diets, OA, therapy, CBT, DBT, Meds, hospitals. Nothing helped. Heard about this and was VERY skeptical but after years trying to fix it on my own, actively suicidal and daily ED for hours, so try this, or kill myself. I started 30mg and was stunned! The obsession with food was lifted on day 1. I had some side effects but tapered off. I lost weight; however, that is secondary to the fact that I don’t hate myself or want to die anymore. I am now up to 60mg and if the meds become ineffective, my doc and I will discuss then. I’m hoping to build better habits/coping so in 12-18 mths, I may not need them anymore. This isn't for weight loss. It’s to be free from the obsession with food and subsequent behaviours that controlled my life. Yes the meds are expensive; however, still less than the $$ I was spending monthly on binges. I am free (future obviously undetermined) and couldn’t be happier about it."
