Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) "I have suffered from severe small fiber neuropathy (SFM) pain and restless leg syndrome for 10 years or more. I take pain medication for the SFN, which helps with the pain. But does not help the RLS. I could not tolerate other medications for RLS. None of them helped with my symptoms & the side effects were intolerable. Regular Gabapentin also did not help with my neuropathy pain or my RLS. I did try Horizant for the first time about a week ago for my severe restless leg syndrome. I used the sample my doctor gave me. I take 600 mg at night with my meal. I noticed results the first day. I would definitely recommend this medication for RLS. Amazing for me and no negative side effects and I sleep much better!"

"I have been taking a combination of Gabapentin and Requip for 20 years after a lower back injury. I have cleared up the pain from the injury of the lower back, but still have to take the combination of the two drugs and so for after 20 years I have had no side effects. The drugs work great for me. My doctors recently retired and now I have a total quack that says she knows best and have been trying to reduce the requip by 1/2 and the gabapentin by 1/2 also, it will be so hard on me if she does."

"I have had RLS for over 20 years. I have been taking Pramipexole (Mirapex) for several years which works great for me, except I experience augmentation, which causes me to have to increase my dosage. I just tried using Horizant and after 5 days so far this drug has not worked for me. I'm going to try giving it a few more days, but then it's back to Pramipexole for me. I need sleep."

Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) "This medicine is definitely a 10. It worked for me from the first day I took it. It's nice to sleep at night again instead of pacing the floor."

Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) "Horizant has given me a good nights sleep which I haven't experienced in years due to RLS! I know it is gabapentin; basically, but it works differently with only 1 pill taken at dinnertime."

Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) "Horizant worked wonderfully for RLS!! But after a couple of months, my mouth and nose got really sore so I had to stop taking it. It really worked for my RLS"

Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) "I have suffered from RLS since 2007. I started taking pramipexole then switched over to Neupro patch which left me with second-degree burns. My insurance left me hanging for 3-1/2 weeks to get approval for Horizant, I was miserable by the time I finally received the medication. I started at 300mg and then increased up to 600mg the following week. Am starting to feel better and hoping this will work."
