"Very bad experience with this drug famotidine. Almost instantly, I started having side effects very severe headaches, dizziness, and nausea. I also had very bad cramps that lead to diarrhea. Only minimally helps with GERD and acid reflux related diseases"

Pepcid (famotidine) "Famotidine /pepcid, made matters much worse concerning my hiatal hernia. The first couple of weeks it seemed to help, after that it was all downhill. Saw an immediate improvement once I went off it. I am now doing apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons with 3 drops of stevia in a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon. Feel so much better off pepsin and Omeprazole. I also take 2 teaspoons of aloe vera juice for quick relief when needed. Neither can cause side effects if not overdone."

"Great help from Famotidine 40 mg. In my fight against hiatal hernia for more than 30 yrs. I take 1 pill in the morning and 1 pill in the evening and I never have had any problem. Before this treatment I suffered a lot because the hernia, but thanks to a Dr. who really paid attention to my problem I have been able to have a very good life."

"Taken omeprazole for 5 year due to not being able to keep food down and damage to my oesophagus from acid reflux. Taken off that because started with a side effect. Taken famotidine for 4 weeks and in that time I have become more miserable, depressed, aching all over and suicidal thoughts. I hit rock bottom using these tablets and ended up self harming. I have stopped taking them, it's been 3 days and I already feel in a better place that I have from day one taking famotidine. STAY AWAY FROM THESE USELESS TABLETS. They didn't even stop the reflux either."

"Pepcid 20mg twice daily. Slight chest pain and tightening. Feeling heavy and slight headache but not with every dose. It does stop all my stomach and chest issues after an hour or so."

"Twenty-four hours after beginning 40mg famotidine daily doses, woke up with stabbing, burning pain in my shoulder joints and tendons, along with lower back stabbing pain and pain in the tendons of my hip joints. Stopped medication after six days. Pain did not cease. Three weeks later, I am now under another doctor's care for the debilitating pain brought on by this medication."
