"This is my third month on this pill and so far it's really good. I have not experienced an bad acne or weight gain. My periods are much less painful I don't have to take any painkillers during my period now! (Sometimes I took 2-4 Aleve's a day to stop the pain). I haven't experienced any nausea or discomfort and I rarely have mood swings now."

For Birth Control "I have been on Cryselle for 5 years now. At first it did its exact job, prevented pregnancy and regulated my period. I became an emotional roller coaster once I got on the pill but my mom and I always chalked it up to teenager issues (I got on it when I was 16). Once I got older and grew to realize that I was severely struggling with anxiety and depression, I felt it was best that I got off. I only got off a week ago so I can’t say what side effects come yet, but I will say that this pill makes anxiety and depression so much worse than I could have ever expected! I also struggled with severe acne in high school. Never any weight gain though, but with the depression, I had severe body dysmorphia and anorexia could have just kept my weight down."

For Birth Control "This is such a terrible pill, I have never ever felt the way I did while I was on this pill. I took the pill for 4 months. The first month was okay I had no symptoms at all. However towards the end of the month every day I either had a headache, had anxiety was very angry or miserably depressed. I couldn't stand the person next to me, any person who made a noise or laughed too hard. I was very mean and so frustrated towards everything my boyfriend did and said and the next day I would feel bad and apologize. this pill made me feel like a crazy person and was driving me insane. One minute I was laughing the other I was crying. I do not recommened this pill to any girls out there this pill is terrible!!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on birth control for a year and I didn’t have any side effects besides maybe a small headache, like once a month which was close to my period week. I recently got switched to a new birth control which, is basically the generic form of my old pill and it is, “Cryselle”. I’ve been on this pill for 3 weeks, about to be on my 4th. I’ve noticed that after I take my pill every night at 9 pm, that 30 minutes after, my stomach starts feeling weird and it continues on until 10 am the next morning at least. It makes me feel as if I’m going to throw up, but I can’t throw up. Also, I’ve noticed whenever I eat a full meal, after I took this pill, it makes me feel even worse then I do if I don’t have a full meal afterwards, sometimes I eat before and sometimes I eat after. Anyone know of a way to resolve this problem? Also, I’ve been having body aches in a way and feel extremely tired and more emotional then I’ve ever felt."

For Birth Control "Do not take Cryselle. Terrible mood swings and irregular periods. I started taking Cryselle for pregnancy prevention and to maintain regular periods at the age of 18. After less than 3 years later, I developed a severe blood clot in my right leg due to the amount of estrogen in this pill."

For Birth Control "This really helped me for my period, before this pill, my period was so bad, going on for 7-8 days, with serious pain for the first 4 days. I would take like 4 ibuprofen (in just 3 hours, NOT good) and it wouldn't help! But now my pain is mild to none, and that makes me happy. I was seriously hoping it would help lower my acne level though... but it gave me more, plus oily skin. Just as long as it keeps the pain away, I'll keep taking it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was having abnormal bleeding due to ovarian cysts so my gyno put me on birth control, even though I told her my body has never reacted well to any kind I’ve tried. I’ve been on it for 1.5 months now and my breasts have already increased a full cup size and they hurt so bad I have to put heat on them at night. My face was clear until I started Cryselle...I now have cystic acne and currently icing my face to bring down the inflammation. Only positive thing I can say is I haven’t bled for almost 2 months which is amazing , but I’d take abnormal bleeding anyway over these side effects.!!!"

For Birth Control "I have taken Cryselle for nearly eight years now. I was prescribed this birth control when I became sexually active. It's purpose was to control my abnormally heavy flow and to prevent pregnancy. For the last three years, I have been miserable. I did not believe that my worsening anxiety and depression were caused by my hormones, much less the prescription that I had taken for seven years. My blood pressure has been recorded at very high levels. My sweating is excessive and I have panic attacks regularly. My anxiety has never been so out of control and I have withdrawn from my friends and family because of my uncontrollable mood swings. I have turned into an impulsive, irritable and unhappy woman out of nowhere and I need a different hormone therapy as soon as possible. If you experience worsened depression with this medication, please do not wait like me. Everyone's body is different. Go speak with your doctor."

For Birth Control "I am currently on the hunt for a birth control (BC) that doesn't impact on my libido as much. My OBGYN recommended this one after a year of being off BC. I have been trying other BCs. She gave me three months supply and told me that it takes a month for my body to get use to it. Boy, let me tell you! If you are even remotely depressed or struggle with anxiety, steer clear of this BC. After taking this for a month, I was 10x more depressed, and really dark thoughts were emerging, and my anxiety was high. I can say, I stopped taking it four days ago , and I feel so much better! I already made my appointment for next week."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I would rather deal with 1-3 days per month of cramps than living every single day of my life with acne, female baldness (was getting there anyway), nausea/vomiting, migraine headaches, skin peeling, no sex drive/inability to orgasm, irritability/crying/depression/anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, shaking, high blood pressure. Omg - stay away from this stuff if you can! "

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill about 8 months now. It's my 3rd birth control. Tricyclics give me bad migraines and I was on minastrin before this. Minastrin always made me really sad for no reason, too nauseous to eat, very moody and depressed and had no period. Cryselle was such a big turnaround for me. I'm back to my normal happy self, periods only last 1-2 days rarely any cramping. Only thing I noticed was a little bit of weight gain but that could also be from switching as the last birth control made me too sick to eat half the time."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on cryselle for two months and my overall experience has been pretty decent. The last birth control I was on made me extremely nauseous all the time. Cryselle, in my case, has only 2 cons. I have extremely sore breast and I have a more acne."

For Birth Control "Horrible absolutely horrible. I was on low ogesteral and my pharmacy just switched it to cryselle one day. Within a week a felt depressed and withdrawn and completely not myself. I felt like and would cry at the drop of a dime for no given reason. I barely made it threw one pack before I came off and actually spent a month off birth control until I could get an appointment to get a new pill. I am very sensitive to estrogen so it is possibly that I am an exception but I have never had this experience on other birth control pills."

For Birth Control "I began taking Cryselle a little over two years ago. I began taking it to fix irregular periods. At first, I didn't notice any side effects but here lately I have been on an emotional roller coaster. I am constantly going from happy to sad within minutes. I have also noticed that I have been feeling depressed constantly. People have asked me numerous times if something is wrong due to my mood swings. I don't recommend this pill at all! I have already switched pills.."

For Birth Control "Would not recommend. I went from being the happiest person I know, to wanting to being in the darkest part of my life every second of every day. I’ve since stopped taking it and have gone back to a copper IUD and am completely fine."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this medication for almost 6 years, and other than a few side effects, it’s amazing - honestly. The side effects are mostly related to PMS, tender breasts, and some mood swings, but that could also just be me. In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons. Pros are short, light, and very regular period; no weight gain; reduced acne; and, above all, no pregnancies in my 6 years of using it! So yay!"

For Birth Control "Okay so this birth control helped my periods to be lighter and less cramps, but I became so emotional and depressed to the point where I couldn’t take it. I would cry every single day and my mind would make up crazy situations. I just felt so emotional all the time. I’m in the process of switching to another birth control right now because I seriously could not handle the mood swings that it caused."

For Birth Control "I've been using Cryselle for three months now and it has been amazing!!! I used to get horrible cramps that often made me nauseous and that resulted in me missing several days of school just because of my period. Since I've been on this birth control, my period changed from 5 days to 3 days and I bleed much lighter with mild to no cramps. The first couple weeks I had some mood swings and cravings for food but it stopped after the first month. The only downside to it is it will make you feel nauseous if you take it at night and my breasts are very tender and sore during my period. But other than that A++!!!"

I'm always depressed, most of the time I Wana cry, it makes me feel really nervous , and I can't stand most people, feeling stressed. I lost few lbs which is a good thing and it controls my weight since I have hormonal imbalance. But I hope to get off this pill asap"

For Birth Control "This is my second time around of being on it and it's way worse than the first time. Well, at least the first month was HORRIBLE and when I say horrible I mean horrible. My period had came way too early, it came like the second week starting the pills, lasted the rest of the month, cramps were so bad that they woke me up out of a dead sleep every 1-2 hours, nothing helped to ease the pain. Happened more at night but I had them during the day as well. It was that bad I almost had to call off work and I'm the type that never calls off, I'd have to be dying. Now I'm almost through my second month, it's going A LOT better! This month was better than last. I suggest to give it time, let it run it's course even if it gets horrible like mine did."

For Birth Control "Comments from people with positive reviews assuming things like “Women who rated this pill poorly just didn’t give their bodies time to adjust” are so disheartening to see. This pill gave me crazy back acne, headaches so bad I couldn’t get up, and awful anxiety for months on end. I assure you that I gave it plenty of time to see if I would “adjust” to this pill and I had had enough of feeling like I was going insane waiting for that to happen. If this pill worked for you, that’s great. But there’s a large number of us it didn’t work for and that’s okay. Birth control is completely dependent on body chemistry and while some people have done great on this pill, people who have gone through horrible things because of it are completely valid in their reviews as well. Be careful and watch your emotions and mental health when being on Cryselle."

For Endometriosis "I was on this birth control pill for four years. It shortened my period from 18 days to 7, stopped my cramps completely. I did not gain any weight, or have any other symptoms. When I stopped taking it within one month I gained 20 pounds, got acne, and my cramps are worse than before. My period was back up to 10 days after one month."

For Birth Control "Do not take. Raised blood glucose levels on Cryselle to over 200. With Cryselle right away I noticed my temper went through the roof. I was always mad, sad, or feeling down. So for those reasons I was constantly doubting myself. That was pretty bad for me but the worst part was that it was spiking my blood glucose anywhere from 200 to 250. My previous levels before taking this pill were very normal at 88 fasting so that’s a huge jump. I did extensive monitoring and it would spike up to those levels within one hour of taking the pill and no other foods. And that was only with one full week of taking it. I switched back to my previous birth control and 4 days later my blood glucose is finally starting to regulate itself. It’s still a little high with it being 106 after fasting but it’s the lowest it’s been in a while. I just wanted to share my experience because when I researched this drug I did not see effects on blood glucose and it could become a dangerous thing."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Cryselle for 2 years now and I love it. Haven't had any side effects and the way it helps keep my period regular is awesome. I know exactly when to expect it and how long it will last. Before Cryselle I was taking another birth control that made me nauseous, gave me headaches, and would give me 2 periods a month. I love that I found Cryselle and I will continue to use it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been taking cryselle since I was 15, I am now 21. I needed a medication to lighten my periods because I have severe anemia. Overall, I was satisfied with this birth control. I did have side effects like weight gain. I gained nearly 50 lbs over the last 7 years which isn't normal since I have a strict diet and work out every single day. My periods were still heavy at first. But during the last year and a half, my periods last 2 days and are very light like spotting. I am sexually actively, so I was worried that I may have been pregnant, but tests say otherwise. I had random acne before my periods on my chin and cheeks. I craved salty foods around the time of my period so that could be the culprit of my acne. Cramps weren't awful. There would be cramps that stopped my in my tracks but they lasted a few seconds and I was fine. It's just the normal period symptoms that are normal to have! I am currently switching to lo loestrine and have read more bad reviews than good ones. So I'm not sure that I want to go ahead and start the pack after my last dose of cryselle or not."
