For Birth Control "I've been on Cryselle for 2.5 months now. I've had acne all my life and had finally gotten it under control before starting Cryselle. It's out of control again. Additionally, I've had some serious anxiety/depression/mood swings. I cry all the time and have irrational obsessive/anxious thoughts. The benefits definitely did not outweigh the costs. My GYN is switching my prescription."

For Birth Control "I’m 24 and I’ve been taking this pill for almost 9 years. It is wonderful, I’ve never had a bad side effect. People writing negative reviews clearly have just started taking or only for a few months and their bodies have not adjust or reacted well to the hormone shift. This could happen with any drug as people’s bodies react differently. But do not be afraid!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 months now & I have to say it has been awful!! I do not feel like myself, I'm really irritable, angry, depressed, & my sex drive is GONE. I've been working out daily & eating right & still gaining weight. I've also got awful period acne breakouts on Cryselle. The only positive things are that the pill does it's job and my periods are 4 days max (they're also light)."

For Birth Control "I took cryselle for about a year or two. It was the worst birth control I’ve taken. It made me extremely moody and I felt angry, to the point that my friends and family could see the difference in my mood. It also made me gain 15 pounds so fast that I now have issues with my knees. I talked to my doctor and she switched me to Junelle Fe. I love Junelle and my family told me never to go back to Cryselle. But now I was told Junelle is on back order and they’re having me take Aurovela. I’m scared to switch since I really like Junelle."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill to regulate my period prescribed by my doctor, and this is by far the worst pill I have ever taken I have never been so sad, depressed, paranoid, and not to mention the terrible anxiety. I’m not an emotional person at all I have always been a happy person but taking this pill has made me lose myself very quickly. I feel like I live in my head and am never fully present. I have been taking this pill for about 9 months hoping my body just needs time to get used to it but it’s not it is just making my side effects worse and worse. Not to mention the extreme hair loss I have from this pill my hair has thinned tremendously. The only thing about this pill that has worked is prevent pregnancy. I still have cramps bloating mood swings etc."

"I really like this pill. At first I noticed my skin become more oily, but then that went away. I have had no other problems so far and it works really well for me. My skin has actually cleared up more. I have not gained weight and my periods are now regular and lighter. But what might work on me might now work on others."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for a month now due to unbalanced hormone levels. I wasn't getting my period (I got it 4 out of the 12 months in a year). My gynecologist made me double up on the pill, so it makes me extremely nauseous at times. I get horrible mood swings and I've been breaking out, not badly though. Today was my 4th day on the sugar pill and I finally got my period. It is very light but I do have minor cramps."

For Birth Control "I took Cryselle for almost a year with no problems at all. The only reason I stopped is because me and my husband decided to expand our little family but I'm almost positive I will get back on it after baby is born."

For Birth Control "I switched to Cryselle after a terrible experience starting birth control with Junel. On that, I bled without break for months. So Cryselle seemed like a God-send when the bleeding stopped and I had no spotting between periods. Minimal side effects besides increased acne. My skin was fine before, but I've been on this pill for just under a year now and in recent months have developed horrible, painful cystic acne. I am looking into a new pill now."

For Birth Control "I was on Cryselle for about 6 years. I had severe fatigue and lack of energy, was physically exhausted and drained no matter how much sleep I got, my hair was falling out like crazy, I had water retention and headaches, I was irritable and moody and I had extremely low sex drive. I eat healthy, exercise regularly, and have had my thyroid and blood sugar checked, as well as blood tests for anemia, etc, all came back normal. The fatigue and lack of energy was what really bothered me and after doing my own research I discovered this can all be related to my BC. I'm now trying a new pill. Each person is different so what may work for someone may not work for someone else. The positives were my periods were very light and I did not get pregnant."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "A month ago I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Cryselle because of the expense of Loestrin. So far I think Cryselle is okay. I'm on birth control to regulate and lighten my periods and Lo Loestrin did that for me. So far this month Cryselle didn't do anything for them. They are just as heavy and and I still have bad cramps. But they are regular. What I do like is it cleared some of my acne. I've had no weight gain but I am very emotional. Oh and my breasts have grown tremendously."

For Endometriosis "I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and had a chocolate cyst which was removed 6 months ago. However excruciating pain and cramps persisted. I was so drained all the time and attributed it to my busy schedule. A month ago I went to the obgyn because my cramps became daily. They found a lemon size cyst on the right ovary and told me to go on Cryselle for 4 months to shrivel it. Before I could start taking it I had a horrible bout of pain, fever, nausea dizziness that felt like my endo symptoms I think my cyst burst because the persistent pain was gone. Doc said to to take Cryselle anyway. First week, I got a few big pimples and expected to gain weight and be moody. It did the opposite felt like my old self energetic & happy!!"

For Birth Control "I just finished the first month of this birth control. After taking tri sprintec for years I started developing ovarian cysts that would make having sex painful. My doctor suggested switching my birth control to help with the cysts. Well, after 3 weeks of taking cryselle my ultrasound showed no cysts which was great but my side effects have been rough. I immediately became moody and even paranoid. I felt like everyone was out to get me. I have been very bloated and very gassy. The worst has been the headaches. Especially on the last week of pills which I just completed it was daily severe headaches. My Dr. Switched me to Mircette and I took first pill last night. Hopefully this will be a better experience."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I was on, I've since bounced around to three others and I'm finally back to Cryselle. I have found this to be the most consistent and dependable. It normalized my cycle and helped my bad cramps and PCOS. My acne didn't really change much, but it did help my deep cystic acne. Now I just get those clusters of tiny acne around my placebo week. If I skip it I don't get them though. All in all, I like cryselle the best out of the 4 I've been on. I've been on cryselle for about 3 years now and I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon. Especially since it's cheaper than the others.Just remember everyone is different and will react differently to every pill!"

For Birth Control "I was only on this birth control for one cycle. I couldn't stand it. It made me crazy, utterly insane. I was so paranoid, I couldn’t get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, because I was convinced someone was in my apartment. I would cry at the drop of a hat and everything made me rage-y. On top of that I had the worst vaginal dryness of my life. I was actually cracking and bleeding. Cryselle may work for you, but it make me feel horrible- mentally, emotionally, and physically."

For Birth Control "I feel like, based on all these reviews you either love it or you hate it. This works wonders for me. The first inactive week, the first period o had on it was HORRIBLE. But after that as my body adjust it really helped. Also I know it's terrible but when I was younger I had unprotected sex and I never worried because I always get my period on the 3rd-4th day of the inactive. Been on them for about three years now, would recommend if you have very little medical history to worry about."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medicine for 6 months. I gave it a 5 for the sole fact it does do its job in preventing pregnancy and my periods have been overall shorter and lighter. However, starting this pill I was miserable from extremely tender breasts, nausea, extreme emotions, and weight gain. I've been on birth control for 10 years and have never gained weight, but within 6 weeks of starting this pill I gained 20lbs. Because of that and the fact that it makes me extremely emotional and/ or moody, I will be stopping at the end of my current pack."

For Birth Control "This pill has made me so dizzy and lightheaded every single day, and given me the worst anxiety attacks!! I have never had any health issues or issues with anxiety until I started this BC. I am dizzy and anxious sitting here typing this. It's the worst feeling. And due to the dizziness/lightheaded feeling it sends my heart into over drive and it starts pounding then I get nauseous and have severe anxiety. I am glad I looked up the reviews before going to the ER thinking I have some major brain issue going on because I have been so dizzy every. single. day. As of last night I have stopped taking the pill. Pray this feeling goes away in the next few days so I can go back to being normal."

For Birth Control "I never would recommend. Its only prevented pregnancy. I've had every worse side a effect. Ever since I started it I've bled so heavy for over a month. I feel like I'm sick n dizzy from blood loss. I have major headaches and episodes of crying. Episodes of anger, depression, irritation frustration like a psycho. I'm not myself at all. I'm in such a dark places. I can't take it! It's ruining my life. I've never been so mad and sad in my life. Uncontrollably miserable in and out everyday. If I'm not raging annoyed for small stuff I'm blank blah and annoyed and I mentally breakdown every other day. I'm switching to ortho tri cyclen. Something about cryselle will make you cry forever. If you want to be negative all the time, just plain miserable, n unpleasant to be around or want to be a psycho this pills for u. I can't believe how horrible this is."

For Endometriosis "I started Cryselle a year and a half ago for Endometriosis. My doctor originally started me on it with the instructions to take it perpetually skipping the placebos. The worst thing to do. Your body can't handle that and I had constant bleeding for several months. Once I started taking it for three months and then a week of placebos, my period evened out and I haven’t experienced any pain or heavy periods since. However, I noticed I started gaining weight fast. I went up 2 dress sizes within 3 months. As of now, I have gained 30 pounds on this pill and can't seem to shake the weight off with exercise. I also naturally had a high metabolism which seemed to completely disappear. Overall, I love that it works but the side effects are a bit too much. I'm worried that I’ll just continue to gain weight on this pill as I haven't stopped yet."

For Birth Control "At first this pill was wonderful. I experienced after a few months that I was super depressed & sad over nothing. Mood swings constantly and stomach pains all the time on and off my cycle. I became so sad I started having horrible anxiety and then panic attacks on the regular. I cried one to two times weekly over nothing & my relationship started to get sour because of the roller coaster moods. Severe headaches and nausea right after I stopped taking the pill for my cycle and cramps so horrible I couldn't stand. I was also so tired and had no sex drive. I was unable to enjoy an orgasm because it took so long for me to have one I would give up. I always had a high sex drive this caused more sadness and anxiety for me. I went on the website and had every side effect at least once and decided it was time to get off the pill. This isn't how a young 24 year old should feel. Please read the side effects asap and do not take this pill any longer if you start to have these same side effects."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I could have DIED while taking this medication Cryselle. Spent about 3 weeks hospitalized recently because Cryselle caused me to get Pulmonary Embolism( blood clots in both lungs) and a DVT blood clot in my left thigh. I couldn't breath out the blue, crossing the street and a car could have hit me, or I could have collapsed. An ambulance was called for me and the CT scan revealed what I had at the hospital. Doc said it was from the birth control pills that I was taking for abnormal uterine bleeding. Now I have to be on blood thinners for 6 months. This has created so much anxiety in addition to the physical pain."

For Birth Control "I’ve been in Cryselle for 4 years now. I take my pills faithfully. Now I haven’t gotten a period since Sept 2019. I am on a 21 day count. I NEVER take the last row which my doctor says it’s ok. It doesn’t give me a period. I’ve been doing fine up until today I see all this blood in the toilet. I’m guessing it must be my period since it hasn’t come on since Sept 2019 "

For Birth Control "This is the worst form of birth control I have ever been on, I gained 10 pounds in a month without changing my diet. I'm normally an anxious person and get hormonal around my period but this pill intensified everything. I cried almost everyday and got angry over stupid things and I didn't have any anxiety free moments through out the day at all on this pill. Terrible headaches and nausea, I just got off of it so I'm hoping it all goes away soon. I don't recommend this"
