For Birth Control "I was told Tri Sprintec had the same ingredients as tri nessa (tri nessa has been discontinued) so I went with it. I’m on day 6 and it’s been AWFUL! I feel nauseous and sick all day long. My mood is out of control and I get these horrible headaches that won’t go away. I didn’t want to believe the reviews because everyone reacts differently, but this truly is the worst pill I’ve ever been on. I don’t even think I can finish the pack TBH. Nothing like tri nessa."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control at 18 years old, I am now 25. I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen for about 5 years, did great on it. Due to insurance I had to switch to Trinessa, heavier periods and more mood swings followed. Now the pharmacy gave my Tri-Sprintec because they don't carry Trinessa. I am on day 8 and am getting more nauseous by the day. The Pharmacist assured me that Trinessa and Tri-Sprintec are the exact same medicines, just made by two different manufacturers, but I have never felt so nauseous in my life. I know pregnancy is not even a consideration because my period just ended the week I started taking the Tri-Sprintec. I will be switching back to Trinessa next month, no matter the cost! Hope this helps someone with similar situation!"

For Acne "I was prescribed this Tri-Sprintec birth control for my acne. The first month was wonderful, it got rid of all my acne and evened out my skin tone and for the first time in years I had clear skin. I thought it would be like this for the next month but I was wrong. I’m currently on the second round of pills and my skin broke out horribly with extremely painful cystic acne around my chin, jaw and nose area. It has been like this the entire month, I am about to finish this pack in a couple of days and hoping my skin calms down with the 3rd round of pills. I spoke to my doctor and she recommended finishing the 3rd round of pills to see if my acne calms down to see whether or not to prescribe me to another brand."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "It's effective in the sense that it has done it's job well, it prevented pregnancy but I absolutely hate it. I switched over from Try Cyclen due to it's cost but honestly, I'm planning on switching back. Severe cramps, headaches, and mood swings galore. The worst part of it all? I have been in my period for THREE WEEKS. It's ridiculous, I've never had issues with any other birth control. My regular period usually lasted 4 days maximum, compare that to constant bleeding for almost a month now. No thanks. Do not recommend this for anyone."

For Acne "It’s day 3 for me, on this medication and I have debilitating migraines. I’ve never had a migraine before, this is terrible. I can’t say whether it’s effective or not but I can definitely say it’s not worth the excruciating pain that I’m feeling in my head."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 months now The first three months were awful but now I really love my birth control. At first, I was having awful mood swings, depression, and random crying spells. I stuck with the pill and then after getting married in December, all my bad symptoms subsided. My acne has gone away and I’ve never had skin this clear! My periods are very manageable, and I can control my period if I want to. So far, no pregnancy, but I’m super religious about taking my pills on time, and try to use back up prevention when on antibiotics. I completely sympathize with all the ladies who have put reviews on here, but thankfully my symptoms have gone away and I’m gonna stick to this pill. Best wishes!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri Sprintec for 7 years and have overall had no problems with it. I started taking it to clear up my severe acne. I had been to dermatologist after dermatologist and had been on every cream and pill to treat my acne and nothing worked until I got on Tri Sprintec. I did not gain any weight, my skin cleared up, my periods were regulated, I did not experience any spotting or anything like that. I am changing birth control pills after this pack due to longer periods. My period had always been about 6-7 days but the past few months it has been 10-12 days. I'm not sure if the lengthened period is due to the Tri Sprintec but I never had any problems with it until recently. I would recommend Tri Sprintec to anyone."

For Acne "This has been the worst birth control pill I have ever been on! Cystic acne all over my cheeks and my acne wasn’t terrible before starting this medication. Do NOT use this BC pill, it will make your acne worse."

For Birth Control "I've been through the mill with birth control pills. I've probably tried and quit 10 contraceptives. I LOVE this pill, though. It helps with regulating my periods since I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and now I'm actually able to get pregnant. I might mention that I'm a decently sized woman, too. It completely stopped my acne. I've never, knock on wood, had any problems with blood clots, quickened heart rate, high blood pressure, headaches, increased appetite, decreased appetite, tenderness of breasts, or an increase in the depression I already suffer from. I would recommend this contraceptive to any woman. Get this birth control! You will not be sorry."

For Acne "I was forced to switch over to Tri-Sprintec because they discontinued Tri-Nessa Lo. I have never had worse acne in my entire life. If I had read these reviews previously I would not have taken it. The pharmacy said it was "pretty much the same." It is not, I should have been put on the Tri-LO-Sprintec. there are two different strengths of the Tri-pills, the low and the higher one. they changed me to the higher one. This medication has caused my depression and anxiety to spike in extremes. I have never experienced cystic acne until now. Full coverage makeup cannot hide the embarrassment I've been feeling in public for months. I've taken it for 3 months and it's been 3 days since I officially stopped."

For Birth Control "I got Tri Sprintec as a birth control but I should have gone on it a long time ago to regulate periods. I love being able to predict when I'll start bleeding and I love that it has shortened my periods (Now it is six days). I had been on doxycycline for acne but it conflicted with the pill so I stopped. The first month of Tri Sprintec I was worried because I didn't stop bleeding. After the first month though, I've had no problems and no irregular bleeding. I've been on it for half a year."

For Acne "Oh my goodness. I am in tears reading these reviews, finally finding out what’s wrong with me. I stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago and my skin started to break out from the hormone change, as expected. I called my OB to get back on what I assumed would be my regular BC, Trinessa, but I got this Tris-Sprintec. My face has never been this bad in my entire life. Painful, cystic acne. I’ve gained weight. My mood swings were terrible. I had anxiety through the ROOF. Whatever you do, DO NOT GET ON THIS PILL."

For Birth Control "I had been on Tri-Sprintec for about a year and a half to prevent pregnancy. A few months after starting to take it, I began to gain weight and become severely depressed. I would cry at every little thing, and my period cramps were worse than they were before. I couldn't sleep and had no sex drive. It didn't even occur to me that these changes were due to my birth control until I finally went to the doctor who told me that sounds like symptoms of Tri-sprintec. I just got an IUD placed and I have never felt better, I have my personality back."

For Birth Control "Been on this for about three months since they discontinued Trinessa and forced this pill on me and let me tell you this has easily been the worst three months of my life. I need birth control to keep me regular and keep my skin clear (which this pill is only ok at doing), but it is not worth the mental damage this pill is doing to me. I’m fine the first two weeks but as soon as I start week three I feel like I’m going crazy! I cry over everything and panic and become so anxious I need anti-anxiety meds and I even have extreme dark thoughts. As soon as I finish this pill pack I’m done for good because this is not worth it it’s ruined all of my personal relationships and motivation for even succeeding in school. (Writing this on the first day of week three in case you were wondering)"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I started taking these pills 2 weeks ago I took it on a Tuesday a week before my original period would come. I noticed I was getting horrible headaches but I brushed it off because my period had came June 23rd so I thought that was the reason to the headaches. But today is June 30th and I’m still bleeding heavily and cramping like bad. My period was normal before taking these pills it would last 4 days and cramps the first 2 days but that’s it. I think these pills causes those horrible headaches and this prolong bleeding I’m seriously soaking through my pads still after 8 full days I honestly believe it’s the pills which I’m not gonna take anymore. I would not take this medication try another birth control brand."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I just finished my three packs. HORRIBLE to say the least, but does its job of avoiding pregnancy. If I don't eat before taking the pill I'm nauseous and vomiting for the next three days. The first month my period was on time and regular. The second month I had two periods and would bleed after sex. And this third month has been pretty much continuous bleeding to the point I don't have sex with my boy friend at all. My periods used to be pretty light and last 4-5 days. Now they're extremely light to the point I hardly have to use a panty liner and I mostly bleed when I use the bathroom but it's all day every day.I'm also moody and cranky and tired all the time. I'm so done with this birth control and am changing. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I have been on this medication for over 9 years and it works great for me. My periods are way lighter and the pain is much more manageable. It causes no mood swings or weight gain for me. Overall, works great and is very affordable; my insurance covers all of it, but even without insurance it's only $9/month."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 1.5 months now. The plus is that Tri-Sprintec doesn't make me want to put a period to my life, like my last birth control did! Side effects include bad nausea for the first month, and my period randomly started too early just yesterday (2nd week of my 2nd month). But overall, I'm satisfied - no major weight gain that I can tell, and no acne. I'm planning to wait 3-4 months to see whether the side effects level out. I join with others in saying that every woman's body is different. Read these posts to get a sense of some common side effects, but don't panic if something different happens, and be glad if nothing happens at all! Call your doctor to make sure your symptoms aren't anything to worry about."

For Acne "I started taking Tri-Sprintec when I was 17. I am now 24. This was originally recommended to me by my OBGYN for acne and migraines and it has made my skin great and migraines disappear. Occasional breakouts but nothing major. In the beginning I had no major emotional, weight, or period issues. My periods are still very light and last about 5 days. After a few years my weight spiraled out of control and I ended up gaining about 45 pounds (from 122 to 160!) and also dealt with depression, anxiety, low energy/lethargy, and increased appetite. Every body is different which is why it is important to monitor your symptoms over YEARS. Things can change. I am now switching to a lower dose of hormones and seeing if there is a change."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec when I was 15 years old to regulate my period. I turn 20 in two weeks and have been taking this birth control consistently. I have had minimum issues (occasional breast tenderness-- no big deal). All birth controls have their side effects but to say that this would alter my decision to take this birth control is bizarre. I have sex with my partner about every other day and we NEVER use condoms. However, he only "finishes" in me once or twice every few months. Even then, I have (luckily) had no problems. I have had no weight gain or mood swings, or any other side effects. It has also kept my face perfectly clear since it doubles as an acne- fighter. Very impressed and would HIGHLY recommend to younger people."

"I haven't necessarily experienced any adverse physical changes since I started taking this pill. No weight gain, no change in acne, my breasts are still the same size... However, I have transformed into a complete grouch. Although no one seems to notice, other than myself, I have been an emotional wreck. One minute I'm ecstatic, the next minute I'm tempted to rip my boyfriend's head off. I don't recommend this pill. "

For Acne "Originally I was prescribed Ortho Tri Cyclen but due to insurance issues I was given Tri Sprintec. I know you're supposed to give things usually 2-3 months to work but let me tell you this pill has worked miracles! The first 3 weeks were terrible. I was breaking out even worse than I already was. I mean, I was getting acne right above my eyelids, underneath my eye, & just about everywhere else on my face. I was so nauseous for a couple days that I almost had to skip a wedding. But I am SO glad I stuck to this. My face has been the clearest it's been in a year. I'm still battling 1-2 zits but that's nothing compared to what it was. I am left with A LOT of dark spots but a few hydrafacial treatments should help with that."
