"I have been on Sprintec for a month and a half so far. Let me say that I have tried over 15 kinds of birth control in the last 10 years and usually have horrible side effects. So far, I have had none from Sprintec. In fact, even though I have severe endometriosis, I was put on Sprintec due to untreatable acne and oily skin which had developed only in the last year. After being on Sprintec for 2 weeks only, my skin had cleared up. I had been seeing 2 dermatologists for the last year who tried many different medications and nothing worked to clear up the acne! Also, I had been a little depressed (also due to some hormone sensitivity) for the last couple of months and that has cleared up very quickly as well. So far, so good!"

"Sprintec by far, is the best birth control I’ve ever been. Started on Microgestin, and by the time I reached 30, is when I started having hormonal issues, and eventually diagnosed with endometriosis. I had surgery performed, and my doctor encouraged me to get back on bc to keep my hormones regulated, so naturally I went back to Microgestin. This time however, it didn’t help like it used to. Estrogen levels remained low, bad cramping and still no periods, so I went the DIM route. That did nothing, so I decided to chance it and try Sprintec after reading info and reviews and I gotta say after a few months, my body feels like it did 10 years ago. My hormone levels are even and I actually welcome the breast soreness cause that’s I know I have estrogen again! It has given me a regular period, and my energy and appetite feels great. I’m glad I trusted my gut and decided to try this brand, cause after years of trial and error, I’ve finally found the right birth control. :)"

"I was on Sprintec for only 3 weeks in an attempt to treat endometriosis. I had to discontinue this medication because I gained five pounds of retained water weight over-night during my 2nd week. I woke up and my fingers and ankles were swollen. I started getting numbness and painful "pins and needles" in my right arm and right leg. I also was so tired, all I wanted to do was sleep. Co-workers even commented how tired I looked. I had mood swings and had periods where I was upset or wanted to cry over minor issues and couldn't understand why, yet I couldn't control it. The hormonal fluctuations played havoc with my emotional state."

"I found out I had endometriosis a few months ago and before I went on birth control(Sprintec) I would be in such pain I wouldn't be able to get out of bed. It was horrible. When my OBGYN put me on this birth control the pain stopped and I was able to do a lot of things I wasn't able to before."

"I love this pill. I still have cramps but they went from lasting 3 days to just one. I go through way less tampons and pads. I can make it through the night without bleeding everywhere. The best benefit of all: I am no longer moody. I feel like myself all month long. I am in LOVE with sprintec"

"My dr put me on Sprintec because my periods were all over the place and I'd cramp so bad to the point of vomiting & fainting. I couldn't walk for the first 3 days of my period. I've been on it since July of 2018. My first month was horrible bleeding constantly, my cramps were lasting longer than 3 days & almost an entire month. I had hot flashes that were bad & so was the nausea. But here is the thing; take it at night at the same time, every single night. As soon as I started that everything was fine after the first month. My depression & mood swings disappeared I was eating great I went from 75 to 106 in the first 2 months but after my weight went back to the normal 98lbs. Cleared up my skin amazingly & my hair grew about a foot within the first 5 months of taking it. But sadly after almost a year & a half my dr is switching me to Junel Fe before a surgery to see if it’ll help with my cyst on my uterus & ovaries that keep erupting. Hoping that I can switch back to Sprintec after recovery from surgery."

"Remember everyone’s body reacts differently to birth controls so don’t let the reviews scare you from trying. I decided to take Sprintec after my friend was on it & had no problems. The first month I had bad nausea & my cramps were worse than before. But after the 2nd pack the cramps were better & I had less bleeding then. Besides the 1st couple of weeks I experienced no mood changes. I have normally acne prone skin & get breakouts before my period. But on the 2nd month of Sprintec I had the worst cystic acne I have ever had in my life. My face was completely covered in painful breakouts. I decided to stay on it till I completed my 3rd pack to see if my body was adjusting to it. But after the 3rd month it continued to breakout. My doctor decided I should stop taking it. After stopping taking it my skin drastically cleared up. It took 3 months off of it to 100% clear up my skin to normal. So if you have acne prone skin or get breakouts around your period I would not recommend this."

"I had an absence of periods for 6 months, I'd be lucky to get one period a year. I thought something was really wrong with me and I was freaked out. Luckily I did a 10-day hormone therapy thing and then got put on birth control. You will also feel crappy the day after you take your first pill. It's normal, your body isn't used to it so you will feel crappy. I had such a bad headache that I had to leave work early. But besides that, Sprintec has been great for me! I have a period at the end of every month, for some reason it's the THURSDAY I start the white pills. The only side effect I've had is a yeast infection because my body wasn't used to the increase in estrogen."

"I've been taking Sprintec for 8 months. I take it continuously, skipping the placebo pills. It has helped my endometriosis, but the break through bleeding is non-stop. It's awful. I'm swapping to another pill to see if I can get the bleeding to lessen. I'm sad it didn't work to prevent periods, because it didn't cause any nausea or weight gain. Other pills I've tried in the past caused both! Fingers crossed for the next one..."

"The excruciating pain I had been experiencing with my periods, went away almost instantly with Sprintec, but I did have (painless) breakthrough bleeding that hasn't let up so I'm trying a different brand."

"I am on week 3 of this birth control. I have been on different types of birth control pills consistently for 11 years. My doctor had me switch off my last birth control due to irregular bleeding and pain associated with my endometriosis. I have gained about 8 lbs in 3 weeks on sprintec. I initially thought I just had a bad week of not eating great, but was still pretty shocked with the amount of weight gain which is unusual for me. After a few days of practically starving myself and exercising, the weight still remained. Again completely unusual for me, I can normally lose weight pretty quickly. My husband agrees I look pregnant. I am stopping the pill immediately. I’d rather have pain than feel this fat. It’s depressing - which is another side effect I’ve heard. Maybe we’re all just depressed cuz we’re fat!"

"I have been on Sprintec for almost 9 months now. My doctor prescribed it because I had abnormal periods with non-stop vomiting, serious IBS like symptoms with blood in my stool, and heavy bleeding. She says that most probably I have endometriosis. Every month, for at least a week, my life became awful. I had to take at least two days off work per month. I also have fibroids with a history of Myomectomy . Sprintec improved my life immensely. Now, I do not experience nausea and intenstinal issues as often as before and I do not have to take days off work any more. The problem is that I have been on my period for two months now. Not even a normal day in between on which I don't have to wear a pad. The bleeding does not stop and it is getting heavier and heavier. Last night I experienced huge blood clots and cramps. I have also gained weight and have headaches all the time. I am so disappointed. I can't go back to my life before Sprintec but now life is no fun either."

"I've only been on Sprintec for a couple months but I noticed my depression has got worse. I'm tired all the time, dizzy and just want to cry. I got an yeast infection and my acne isn't clearing up. As far as my endometriosis. I can't tell if it has got any better."

"I've been on this medication for 3+ years and it took a while to get on track. I was put on YAZ first but my cramping didn't stop at all. On Sprintec my skin has cleared and last month had not a single cramp during the bleeding period. I am only able to extend my period for a month and a half and often bleed before my placebo pills but I am only on those for 3 days."

"I have been on this pill for about four years. My Doctor took me off of Ortho-Tri Cyclen because of ovarian cysts. My only compliant is the EXTREME swelling in my ankles and when it's really hot. I was recently put on Yaz and had to be taken off so they put me back on this. Otherwise, it would be a great pill but the swelling is getting old and I am sick of dealing with it."

"Constant nausea there are flare ups where I have no appetite and I'm very tiny so losing the weight I have on this pill is scary. Also the nausea flare ups are horrible. constant vomiting and trying to eat anything only makes it worse. Sometimes I have to go days without eating just waiting for my stomach to calm down enough from this pill to eat. The longest I've gone is 4 days when the nausea finally subsided I am currently on a two day no eating period because I'm nauseas and throwing up everything I eat. This pill is a nightmare stuck it out for 6 months. Switching today to Gianvi. Was previously on Loloestrin which was wonderful for everything except mood."

"I just start this pills this month and start my period the Saturday before Christmas and I'm on the white pill that suppose to start your period on and I'm still having it. If it keep's up I will all so be having my period for 2 weeks. I'm getting tired of bleeding and the pain that comes with it. Thank you."

"I have endometriosis and PCOS and started taking these to help stop the constant heavy bleeding I was going through for months at a time. It did help with reducing the bleed. I would go weeks with out bleeding, but when I would bleed, it would take some time to stop. It was much lighter than I am used to though so it wasn’t a big deal. Over time I began to lose a little weight, not much. My hair started falling out, my sex drive decreased to nothing and began to feel depressed. Almost a year later, the depression has become a lot worse. There are days where it is completely overwhelming and I can’t do anything."

"This birth control made me bleed for well over 8 days and counting, it's also making me shed stuff like crazy and daily cramps. I only took it because I have horrible unbearable, intolerable cramps each month and I decided to try it to avoid the cramps and while it did calm my usual extremely painful cramps, the continued bleeding and cramps make it not worth it. The only plus I can say is that it didn't break me out like others do, in fact it may of helped my skin."

"On a search for birth control that doesn't make me nauseous while helping my death feeling cramps and this wasn't it. When my horrible cramps hit this month, I took the first pill of the pack and have felt so throw up nauseous ever since after only 1 pill. I'm at a loss for what to do about my cramps at this point, when the pill makes me so sick it's not worth taking it either."

"I wanted to start by saying everyone reacts differently to different drugs. What works for one person may not work for another. I am 23. I started taking it when I was 15 or 16. I originally started taking it to regulate my periods and clear my skin and it worked. When I was 19, I had awful period pain discovered at 22 years old I had endo. I went into surgery and had it removed. Now I am taking it continuously. I still have random spotting, and my memory... well, my memory is shot. It's mostly my short-term memory. My boobs got bigger. I was D; now I'm a DD., not complaining. The pill didn't make me gain my endo did tho. Out of pocket if you use pill club it's $40 for 6 months or something like that."
