For Birth Control "I've been taking Seasonique for almost 10 years. I've tried the shot and nexplanon and I hands down prefer Seasonique. I don't think I could ever go back to having a monthly cycle. I haven't noticed any major side effects. I do suffer from migraines; however, I had migraines even when I wasn't taking Seasonique so I don't think the two are connected."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I loved the thought of not having a period EVERY month, as advertised. It worked great for 6 & 1/2 years. Light spotting when I started back then, and lighter periods and not buying so many tampons was very nice! I got off the pill for 6 months (for financial reasons.) Decided to go back on it, and now I'm in month two and on my 11th day bleeding. Started as spotting, then got heavier each day after, & minor clotting. I saw dark brown blood on day 9 of bleeding, thought it was ending, finally, then next day...BAM, back to bright red bleeding again, & HORRIBLE cramping to go with it! I'm a mess emotionally. It's like PmS, but not going away once the period starts. I think it's turned on me. Time for a switch! I can't affOrd ALL these pads"

For Birth Control "Well it worked to prevent pregnancy because there was no way I could have become pregnant when I couldn't even have sex since I basically had my period for a month! In addition I had the pleasure of getting severe cystic acne that I haven't been able to get under control. The cramps that accompanied my period were terrible. I'm going back on loestrin24."

For Birth Control "I have been so happy on this medication. I actually take the generic version and am on my 3rd month. I had been on Ortho Tri Cyclen for years. I am 32. Just some occassional light spotting so far. I have suffered from migraines for a long time, especially around my period, and on these pills they have decreased. My breasts have increased at least a cup size and are super firm (boyfriend approved!). No loss of sex drive at all. I have gained about 10 pounds, but I don't really mind the weight gain with having no period, no migraines and a free increase in breast size. "

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this pill to only have 4 periods a year. I don't need the Birth Control because my husband is "fixed". I was like clockwork every 28 days, but my period would last 7 horrible days. I had major bleeding, clotting and cramps. So, I thought this would help with both the flow and amount of time. I started the pill 8 weeks ago, since then I have been bleeding (enough to wear a pad) for 4.5 of those weeks. My breasts are super sore, and have grown a cup size. I have had cramping for most of the time. I'm going to stop because it's causing the very thing I'm trying to eliminate."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Seasonique for almost three months. I did not have a period until three weeks ago and I have been on my period for 3 weeks. It is very light, I have read through the information and it says your period can last for over 20 days. I do have a call into my doctor to see how much longer I need to have my period before I need to be concerned."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for nearly 5 years. It cleared up cystic acne, lessened severity and frequency of my migraines, and most importantly, controlled the psychotic symptoms I have with severe PMDD and menstrual psychosis. The drawback? I gains over 30 lbs without major exercise or dietary changes. So it's a toss up in my opinion."

For Birth Control "It's birth control and I feel with every birth control I have had, I have similar side effects - low sex drive, about 10 pounds weight gain that WILL NOT go away (workout 6 days a week & eat paleo). But, it works in controlling my endometriosis pain and my periods only last about 4-5 days. If you start spotting, stop taking the pill and have a period! That's how you get it to stop. I have been taking this for 10 years and I take it at the same time and still have spotting, but that's just when happens when you try to tell your body to stop a natural process. If you have endometriosis, I recommend this pill OTHERWISE get a regular, 1 month pill which will give you less side effects while still working at a method of contraceptive."

For Birth Control "I would absolutely recommend seasonique! I have been on this pill for close to 5 years if not longer and I have had no bad experiences other than a little weight gain (about 10lbs) but that is to be expected. I take my pill at the same time every day and have never had any spotting at all. My periods are less than 5 days and sometimes last only 2-3 days and I have little to no cramps!"

For Birth Control "I just started Seasonique almost two months ago. For about the first five weeks, it was fine and I didn't have a period or spotting. Although, for the last three weeks I've been bleeding like a normal period. Also, ever since I started taking it, my libido is really low and I simply have no sex drive. My gyno says that the bleeding is just my body getting used to the new drug, but honestly, a three week period."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I took this med for about a week and a half. The first few days, pleasantly, no side effects. Then I started having the worst insomnia, vivid nightmares, and a deep-bone back pain/body aches every night. Fast forward to days 7-9, I still had all of the above, plus acne, panic attacks, racing thoughts, stomach cramps, diarrhea, depression, and hot flashes. At this point, I would rather have heavy, painful, periods! I am an attorney and cannot function like this."

For Birth Control "Fantastic experience. 9 months on Seasonique and never had breakthrough bleeding. Slight appetite increase, but no acne or crazy mood swings. My last 2 birth control pills gave me insane mood swings. My fiance is thrilled with my choice in Seasonique."

For Endometriosis "I've been on Seasonique for a few years and I love it. Only four periods a year and they are much lighter. I do have some spotting in between periods but only four periods a year, out weighs the occasional spotting. It has really helped me with my endometriosis. I rarely experience symptoms from the endometriosis and when I do they are usually milder. I would recommend Seasonique to everyone!"

For Birth Control "I had the WORST experience with this BC. I started to take it after i had my daughter i thought this is great a period every 4 months! NEGATIVE this was horrible. When i did get my period i was in a lot of pain. I had mood swings, depression, gained about 40 pounds, and had constant discharge. i wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy"

For Birth Control "I have suffered from incredibly awful menstrual migraines while on the "inactive" break pills with every brand of birth control, for years. The low dose estrogen break pills with seasonique have saved my life! Zero headaches and lighter periods. I can't believe I suffered all these years. 10/10 recommend!"

For Birth Control "I was on Seasonique for 2 years. Seasonique started out as an okay form of birth control. It took my body a while to get used to it (probably about 2 packs, so 6 months). When I did get used to it, it was great. But then the problems started. I've never had acne or even bad pimples and my face started to really break out. Also, I don't know if my body got immune to the birth contrl but after a while, my heavy periods came back as well as the cramps. Also if I ever forgot to take my pill and had to double up, I would get really sick. Overall, it started out great, but the effects were not long term. I've gained 15 pounds and my libido is very low and I'm very dry when having intercourse. Also, as mentioned earlier, it gave me very bad acne."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Since aged 12 I had cramps that would literally make me throw up, bleeding that was so heavy it took 10-12 super tampons a day, and prolonged periods of up to a month. This medication was a lifesaver. My period is now light, few cramps and very short. It helps with my problems. But of course there are some things I don't particularly like. My sex drive is absolutely zero (my boyfriend doesn't appreciate that) and I'm more emotional than ever. Random crying outbreaks happen, and the feeling of raging. "

For Birth Control "I've been on the Seasonique birth control for 2.5 months. It's been terrible. I started spotting within the first month which wasn't a big deal. It went away. But then it became more frequent and anytime I'd get stressed I'd get a period for 5-6 days. If you miss a pill by an hour, you get your period. I have now been bleeding everyday for the past 3 weeks. I had to buy reusable/washable panty liners because I've destroyed most of my underwear. This past week I got super stressed and I've been bleeding extremely heavily. Not just bleeding, but passing massive clots. I'm terrified. I just decided to stop taking this pill and stopped halfway through the 3rd pack. 4 periods a year? Misnomer. This is having your period every day."

For Birth Control "So I totally agree with some of the comments below. I've been on Seasonique since grade 9 (in my second year of college as of sept 2015). I'm not gonna say why but I will say that it was definitely great in the beginning. Periods became regular, I had my period for about 5 days which I find healthy in my opinion since I don't get it for 3 months and has cleared up my face from acne and pimples. As of this year, I have noticed that the pill isn't working as it should. During the last week or 2 before the yellow pills or "period pills" I get constant on and off spotting. Then during the week of my period pills, I don't get my period until the last few days.Usually wed to fri if following the actual week. Been taking it for 5 yrs now "

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonique for almost three months now. The first month and a half it was perfect, then I missed it for three days when I misplaced it and began spotting. I want to try to have my period and then get back on it and take it on time this time. It kept my skin clear. My breast size increased close to a full cup size and I didn't have much weight gain. My sex drive was not lost at all. If anything, it increased."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Yes, this medicine was a life saver in the begining. But recently I have felt as if I am losing my mind and myself. I have constant anxiety and when it turns into a panic attack it is draining. I have apocalyptic feelings and struggle to believe myself and others. I would recommend to not go on this medicine and save yourself the mental pain, because there are other measures that can be taken."

For Birth Control "I've actually been on seasonique for 10 years. I got on seasonique when I was 10 (because of bad cramps and ovarian cysts). Now I am 20 and I am still on this birth control! I choose to skip over the sugar pills to not have a period, and not once ever have I had random bleeding. I haven't had any acne in 10 years and have not experienced any hormonal issues. Also it has kept me from getting knocked up which is the best part."

For Birth Control "I was going through postpartum depression really bad. I was on this pill for seven years before I got pregnant. I went back on the pill for postpartum depression and its calmed my anxiety. It has done wonders for me. I did not get pregnant on this pill."

For Birth Control "While on Seasonique I didn't notice the changes my body went through until I started doing some research , I loved only having one period every 3 months but the periods were painful bad cramps, lower back pain the first 2 days, the first 4 months were fine, then I started a month and a half long period but I stuck it out hoping it would be better, then things were going good until I started bleeding during intercourse, I went to see my doctor and she told me it was probably caused by the birth control, also since I started taking it I would get the sensation that I would faint, and I have fainted once while on it, had a little weight gain, it really messed up my hormones, guess my body didn't like it! "

For Birth Control "After taking this medication I suffered Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST = blood clot in my brain) and stoke. I am 35 years old was on birth control since 15 was on the depo shot most of the time after having my kids I decided to take this oral contraceptives. And now I suffer a huge brain clot I’m on blood thinners being monitored weekly, was hospitalized for weeks and looking at a year or more recovery. Please be careful what you put into your body I learned the hard way. Always thinking that won’t happen to me and it did."
