For Birth Control "I have been taking seasonal for almost 3 years and love it. My periods are shorter and lighter with less pain. I haven't had any problems with break through bleeding. This is the only birth control pill to work for me (have tried 5 others). I know this pill doesn't work for everyone though."

For Birth Control "I was happy on this pill until my doctor took me off because of high blood pressure. I'll miss it and I'm upset that I can't be on it.. No periods for 3 months. I don't think i experienced any side effects but I do get headaches and cramps which I see as normal as they weren't everyday. I loved this pill. I have no issues that i know of. Everyone is different with different issues."

For Birth Control "I am 18 years old and I started this seasonal birth control a 3 months ago. I have had on and off bleeding and major cramps. One day at school, I was starting to see double and I was feeling extremely dizzy. 15 minutes later, my mother picked me up and I started to have numbness in my arms and started to loose my speech. I went to the hospital and got brain scans and the tested my whole body. But everything ended up normal. The doctor said it was rare for someone at my age to get a TIA but it was possible but in my case it was minor. I have had tremendous weight gain and more acne. I tried to stick with it at first because I said it has to be at least 3 months. I have immediately stopped taking it and my symptoms are all gone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking Seasonale 3 months ago as my previous birth control medication was no longer effective. I take it to regulate my periods as they never regulated on their own. Everything was going well (no pain or abnormal bleeding) until this past week when I got my period while taking the week of inactive pills. I have recently suffered 48 hours of intense breast pain and swelling (way worse than "tenderness") where the pain hits in waves and makes it nearly impossible to do anything. I am exhausted from being in this much pain. I have also experienced my left breast "leaking" for most of the day which is really uncomfortable. My body now thinks it is pregnant which is something I should not have to deal with. Not taking this again."

For Birth Control "To help some girls out - This was an excellent option - for my body. I am a girl who usually had a period from 56-66 days so around every 3 months anyways. I was nervous to go to the doctor to get birth control every month because I already hated having it so far apart. My doctor recommended Seasonale, and it has been great! I get occasional migraines, but it's nothing that I have had to complain to my doctor about. I've only had a little bit of spotting before my period is supposed to happen but it's nothing that I can't handle. I definitely recommend Seasonale for girls who don't like their periods every month and for girls who are consistent with the medication. Don't take this if your going to skip days, it defeats the purpose."

For Birth Control "I am 26 and otherwise perfectly healthy. I quit Seasonale after two months when I discovered my blood pressure had become very high (164/112). I had also been experiencing neck pain, a pressured feeling that seemed to be in my veins, which would alternate from one side of my neck to the other, since the second or third week of taking this pill. I was sent for many tests and found that one of my kidneys was mildly swollen (hydronephrosis). It took six weeks for my blood pressure to normalize, it would go down and then back up again. I was very concerned, anxious and depressed. I took hypertension medication for about two weeks as well, and was eventually able to lower my dosage and then stop it altogether."

For Birth Control "The pills didn't cause any side effects or me, other than a constant spotting which is unimaginably irritating, and made me feel too embarrassed to get intimate making my annoyance for nothing. I'm hoping that the spotting stops soon. Although my the pills were convenient, with the purple package and made my period considerably lighter!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My doctor put me on Seasonale to control my horrendous periods. Unfortunately I suffered with them because of fibroids & perimenopause. Everything else was ruled out. I gave it 4 stars cause it did help with my bad periods, but I did bleed for 6 months straight (mostly spotting). I gave it a chance, just wasn't for me. My doctor put me on Apri, & I'm doing good on it."

For Birth Control "I decided to switch from Ortho Tricyclen Lo to Seasonale, because I didn't want to have a period every month. The only good parts about this pill are no pregnancies or monthly periods. Besides that, this pill has ruined my sex life. I've been on it for a little over two years and have experienced the worst vaginal dryness despite being turned on. At first, I thought it was my medication for mental health, but after tapering off and stopping it, this issue hasn't gone away after a year. This birth control is the only medication I'm on. Today, I finally switched to a new pill, so I'm hoping this problem goes away."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonale for about a month now and only have positive things to say! I've got bipolar 2 and multiple anxiety disorders, so birth controls can be tricky. I was on Loestrin Fe for a while and that didn't seem to do much. I then switched to the Nexplanon implant and that caused some of the worst anxiety I have ever experienced. I switched to Nikki after that and that, again, did not help my existing anxiety. I found out that progestin does not mesh well with me. Seasonale has two different types of estrogen in it which is why my obgyn put me on it. I've struggled with gaining weight my whole life and now all of a sudden I'm a healthy body weight and my anxiety has been as low as it can be with my existing conditions. I haven't had any break through bleeding, headaches, or nausea. I finally feel like myself again! it's also been helping significantly with some minor hormonal acne."

For Birth Control "I was introduced to seasonale when i saw my friend have a purple case with pink pills in it. I asked her about her birthcontrol compared to the tri-lo brand pills i was taking. The difference was that with hers you could go three months and not get your period. I thought that was awesome, so i switched from my free pills to the $74 seasonale pills. Ive been on them for a while i think almost a year n a half by now..but recentally ive noticed that my breasts are leaking milk or a white substance, this happens for about a week after my period..every three months but this last week i felt it got worse, i actually had to start pumping my breasts as my body thought i was pregnant. I really felt uncomfortable and so now im changing my pills."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for two years and kept waiting for a 3 month cycle to go well, but it never did. I didn't have many painful side effects, but the whole last 5 weeks of each pack, I bled JUST enough to need a minipad every day. Also gained 25 lbs in two years. Stopping after this pack is finished."

For Endometriosis "I have very bad endometriosis so my doctor put me on Seasonale six months ago. I was bleeding nonstop before I started and for the whole 6 months I continued to still bleed. My mental health took the biggest hit tho. I couldn’t force myself to clean my house, my dishes were molding. I couldn’t force myself to shower for weeks or brush my teeth. I couldn’t figure out what happened to me and how I declined so fast. My husband works away and noticed even through FaceTiming I was a shell of myself. I didn’t even think that a birth control could do that to me until finally I was sharing everything with my mom and she mentioned how it all started once I changed birth control’s, then it all clicked for me. Immediately that week I went to my doctor and asked to be taken off it and put on a new one. I have been on the new one for two weeks and the change is already night and day! I wish I did it sooner. If you are already having mental health issues STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE PLEASE."

"This is not a medicine for someone like me with moderate acne. I am on my second pack and already I am braking out like crazy. And not small pimples at all. No other side effects, just that. But for me that's enough. Guess my old pill really did keep my skin clear so even though I like the no period thing, I will have to change back."

For Birth Control "I have been using Seasonale for about two years now. I have gained about 20lb, I get dizzy sometimes, headaches all the time, and I get break through bleeding about half way through my pills. After a few days of spotting I get my period. Still painful and lasts the whole 7 days just like before. No heavier and no lighter. I plan to try something else as soon as I can."

For Ovarian Cysts "I have tried alot of birth control already and I am only eighteen. I have been hospitized for extreme ovarian cysts. I first tried Ortho Cept and from missing one pill I bleed for two months straight. After that they put me on a low dose 3 month pack that gave me horrible break outs and break through bleeding. After those pills I tried evro patch and I was rushed to the hospital for extreme bleeding and my arm became paralyzed for a day. After this I was put onto Seasonale and it took two packs to start working. I then had to add depo shot with it. For people with extreme cases this will not be enough for you. For normal people this will make you gain a little weight but no breakouts and no break through bleeding or weird side effects."

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonale for almost a year and I am switching to Sprintec. I am switching because the breakthrough bleeding and cramping became ridiculous. I would have my withdrawal bleed, have about 1-2 months of peace, then the spotting began and would not stop. I'd double up for 3-4 days or however long it took to stop it then go back on 1 pill when the spotting stopped. 2 weeks later the spotting would return, rinse and repeat. The cramps during the breakthrough bleeding were worse than the cramps during the withdrawal bleed! I've had enough of this pill and am switching to Sprintec and hoping for the best."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on this birth control for 2 months it started out with some spotting which I expected. However it never stopped I am now on my third month and I am full on bleeding and it shows no signs of stopping. The only thing it has sort of down is manage cramps but it makes me nervous what will happen at the end of three months when I am actually supposed to have my period."

For Birth Control "Works great for me. I no longer have cramps while taking Seasonale. I switched to Tilia Fe when my new insurance didn't cover seasonale and I started having bad cramps again. So I am changing back to Seasonale even if I have to pay the cash price."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the first pill I've found that genuinely fixes my extra long, extra heavy, anemia-producing periods. I was bleeding 20+ days/month (enough to require tampons) with at least one day of bleeding so heavy that I had to stay home for the good of humanity and all their upholstery. Typical BCPs (1 week of placebos/month) limited my bleeding to 7 days but not the very heavy days/anemia. Other reviewers talked about bleeding frustrations the first 2 months on Seasonale. All I can say is that I definitely bled less than I did off the pill, but obviously my benchmark was not the norm. My first period (after 3 months on it) was very heavy as expected since my placebo weeks always were. Very UNexpected: my second period (6 months on the pill) was super easy, something never before experienced in the 32 years since my first period. 1 year later, my placebo weeks are consistently easy (only light-med bleeding) and very light spotting each 4th week (not enough for tampons/liners). Quality of Life++"

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonale for about 6 months now. It definitely helped with my endometriosis pain, ovarian cyst pain, and acne. It does have its downfalls though. My sex drive is just not there. It can be sometimes, but it’s not like you crave it as you would without birth control, so it’s definitely sometimes a trouble in a relationship. My mood is somewhat stable, but let’s just say I was much happier before. I only gained 10 lbs, but I don’t think that was from the pill because I eat whatever and however, but I’m hoping that doesn’t get worse. I do like it, but with it getting in the way of those things, I’m definitely considering just stopping because I know there’s nothing else I’d want to try. If I ever do end up getting back on birth control, though, I would go back to this one."

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonale for over 10 years. My overall experience has been nothing but good. I would even extend the packs and break for a period every 6 months without issue. Only side effect I have noticed since being on the pill is slight weight gain (water weight). Nothing more than 5 pounds. I also started noticing years in a bit of spotting between periods and headaches which I think were liked to my BP. I have recently been told by my doctor that I must come off of this pill due to the estrogen affecting my BP. I would recommend this pill to anyone looking for an easy and convenient bcp. Keep in mind that our bodies are all different. What works for one may not work for all. I will begin my adventure with my new progesterone-only pill (Slynd). Look out for reviews on that."

For Birth Control "I’ve been using Seasonale for 10 years. I have had a very positive experience with this birth control. Not having periods for 3 months is absolutely amazing, no more mood swings. I did gain some weight but I’m happy about it since I was very skinny, to begin with. I had low libido for a year and a half but my libido went back to normal after that. I have been taking it back to back and skipping the placebo pills in order to suppress my period entirely for about 5 years. Besides the occasional spotting (light bleeding), it’s been good. I am very happy with this product. Thank you, Seasonale. If you don’t want to experience spotting and prefer having your period every 3 months. just take the pill as directed and you will be fine."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication to help regulate my cycle & my emotions. It definitely helped with my emotions. But, I had breakthrough bleeding weeks 5 through 8. I stopped the pill 4 days ago and I am still bleeding. It’s like having the worst, heaviest period of my life. The cramps are horrendous! I'm praying this bleeding stops very soon. I don’t recommend this pill at all."

For Birth Control "I was on Seasonique for 2.5 years and just stopped due to insane acne. I’m 40 years old and I have acne worse than ever in my life. I’ve been off the pill for almost 3 months now and it’s still there and painful. I noticed the acne several months into starting this pill, but it would come and go. Now it doesn’t go away. I’m worried this acne is permanent. It’s embarrassing at my age and I look hideous. Other than that I had no other side effects. I switched to this pill to help with menstrual migraines and it really did help. I justified the acne because reduced migraines was worth it. Not anymore. Beware. If I could go back to my 20 year old self I would say “Never put these poisons in your body! Treat your body like a temple.” There’s a good chance BC caused my migraines to start when I was 23."
