For Birth Control "The first week, I took bc at 8am and would feel so nauseous after wards that I had to fall back asleep or I would vomit (I only threw up once because I was unable to get back to sleep after taking it). It made me a little nauseous all day every day I was taking it. When I started the second week in the pill pack, I suddenly got blurry vision, severe headaches, and dizziness on top of the increased nausea which lasted all day. I decided to stop taking it after that. From what I experienced, the only good effect it had was that it lessened my acne. I wouldn't ever go back on it though. I was debilitated for an entire day due to overwhelming side effects. All I could do was lay on my floor or bed and try to sleep."

For Birth Control "I was on Lutera which was amazing. No nausea, light periods, fewer breakouts, then Vienva which was ok, then Lessina. Lessina started ok, then I started spotting between periods, having longer, heavier periods, nausea my first day back on the hormone pill, and back pain. I tried to tough it out for a few months, but couldn't stand the side effects anymore and asked my OB if I can switch back to Lutera. This pill was not for me, but everyone is different. Not the worst, but definitely not great for me personally. I didn't get pregnant though, which is a plus."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Lessina for 3 months now, I really like the pill only a few complaints such as breakouts here and there, migraines off and on and a very lengthy period. Before taking Lessina my cycle would last roughly 5 days, now it last about 2 weeks which is really the only reason I'm looking to change to another pill. On a positive note, no menstrual cramps at all which is amazing."

For Birth Control "AWFUL. I forgot my regular birth control (Aubra) while on vacation so the pharmacist at the place I was vacationing at gave me these... they were fine for the week I was there but now I am spotting BAD every day.. some days I’ll wake up and there’ll be blood in my underwear or sometimes an hour before I’m scheduled to take my pill I’ll start bleeding. I have not had a period in four years (I had Nexplanon inserted 3 yrs then I got on Aubra and skipped placebos) now since taking this it’s like every day I am bleeding randomly AND suddenly have acne + cystic acne!! I kept taking it (2 months) to see if any of my symptoms would stop but they are actually getting WORSE. Stopping this awful, awful birth control immediately and throwing away the last month of it."

For Birth Control "Great birth control, been using for 4 months now only thing is I have bad acne literally everywhere, on my shoulders, back , face, and butt. I’ve never had this happen before, it’s like tiny cysts that I’m unable to pop. It’s been terrible. Besides that it’s great. Even helped me with my appetite to gain weight."

For Birth Control "I was recently switched to Lessina due to my other brand giving my constant anxiety and sadness. The first week of taking Lessina I felt so great and hopeful that it wouldn’t bring the side effects in which I read in the reviews. Once the second week came along it was rock bottom. I took one pack in total because I was trying to give it a chance but I had to the back to my doctor to get it changed. It was the worse panic attacks and depression I have ever felt even comparing my last birth control to it. I would cry so much that I would have to throw up, I couldn’t breath or control my panic attacks at all. I’m giving it 3 stars because It actually helped clear up my skin and I didn’t gain weight like many have said, so that was a positive. I highly do NOT recommend this birth control if you have any bad history of mood swings with other birth controls."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control I've ever had. My skin was clear but once I started taking this I had the worst acne. I was bloated, went from a size 3 to 7 within a week. I was nauseous, my breast were tender and swollen. My appetite increased. The only good thing about it was it increased my sex drive. I switched to Ortho Tricylen Lo and I actually liked it but the only thing is it decreased my sex drive. Now I'm on Aubra since Planned Parenthood doesn't have it anymore, so far no side effects."

For Birth Control "Wow. I started on the third day of my period, which was a Sunday as directed. It’s two weeks later and I’m still on my period (day 17). I have migraines 3-5 times a month usually, but have had them every other day with this. I stopped taking the pill about a week after I started and then had a migraine that lasted four days, even with using my prescription migraine pills. I had a large blood clot as well. I went back to the doctor and they suggested I try to ride it out. Nope. On day 15, my period, which had been light, came back full force and was heavier than it’s ever been. I’m waiting for my body to clear the hormones out, but it’s been just awful. If you have migraines, think twice before taking Lessina."

For Birth Control "I have taking Lessina for about 2 weeks and my experience has been ok. The only issue is that I have been nauseous and that's been happening ever since I starting taking Lessina. Overall it's a good product."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My 14 year old daughter was taking this pill for almost a month and it sent her to the hospital since her doctor wouldn't see her. She had severe head aches, feeling nauseous, and feeling tired all the time. It wasn't until her dad read the reviews and figured out that her symptoms we're for the birth control pills."

For Birth Control "After about 3 months on Lessina, I experienced abnormal bleeding. My cycle lasted for over 2 weeks, it was extremely heavy and unbearable. I ended up going to the doctor on day 14 and they prescribed Provera to stop the bleeding. It took 4 days on Provera to slow it down. Also, I had severe nausea in the beginning."

For Endometriosis "I've been taking lessina for less than 2 months now (for my Pelvic floor myaliga )and I've had a horrible experience so far. The end of the first pack (around the 2 white pill) I started my period and the first 2 days were fine (other than the fact that I'm constantly in pain) but the 3rd day I was terrible I went through 6 pads with a bunch of clots mind you I've never had clots with a period before. So I had to go to the ER. Which they had to give me IV fluids and pain medication because the pain I had was so much worse than just the usually periods I get. They told me it was from the BC. And I should be switched right away. I also suffer from depression as it is and I've just haven't been able to pick myself up. I've been on so many BCs and nothing helps."

For Birth Control "The pharmacy gave me this pill as a substitute for my normal one. I've been on it for 3 months and I've had horrible back pain during my period, crazy anxiety constantly, mood swings, bloating and hair thinning. I would not recommend this birth control. I'm so glad to be back on my normal one this month."

For Birth Control "Hi… so I’ve been on Lessina for a little over 6 months now. I used to be on Alysena maybe 2 years ago and it was the probably the WORST experience of my life, it ruined my mental and physical health so much that I was scared to get back on birth control. I told my current doctor about my concerns and he recommended me Lessina because it has a lower dose of hormones compared to other pills and it is also a commonly used pill amongst women in Canada. I was EXTREMELY nervous but I decided to take the jump and honestly, I’m so glad I did. I’ve had absolutely no side effects at all!! Everyone’s body is different and you may have to wait to see how your body reacts to certain perceptions, but it is 100% worth trying different things to see what suits you! Luckily I gave Lessina a chance, and I’m so happy with the outcome."

For Birth Control "First off a note that not all medicines work the same for everyone !!! I started taking Lessina roughly a year & a half ago. I used to have debilitating pain during my periods where I literally could not get off the floor due to being so nauseous, lightheaded, and in pain. I also had really bad mental/emotional premenstrual symptoms that I didn't even notice I had until I started taking the pill. I started the pill the day my period was supposed to start- but it didn't, so I didn't get it for a couple weeks and then I bled for two weeks long. I also struggled a tad bit emotionally adjusting as the hormones gave me bad mood swings. Although after the first month or two everything started regulating out and since its been amazing (for me)! I can actually go places when I've my period, and I no longer get severely depressed the week leading up to my period. I do have times of increased mood swings though, especially if I miss my pill and have to take it either with/closer to my next pill."

For Birth Control "Was on this birth control for four months. I am a pretty optimistic look on the bright side happy girl, but this stuff completely changed that. I became very moody, very grey. Very depressed for no reason. It worked but the side effects were not worth it. It made my head feel very cloudy and made me feel like I was stuck in my head. I ran out of my fourth month and didn’t have a chance to go get a refill right away, which turned into a huge blessing. My head started to become clear and I began to feel like myself again. Needless to say I will be looking for a new bc."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for a month and so far I've gotten 2 period that lasted for 8-10 days and I know its because my body isn't used to it but hopefully it gets normal in about 2 more months. If not I'm switching to a different birth control"

For Birth Control "WORST BC EVER! I had used this after giving birth to my son. I would get really bad nausea that would last a week and would make me think I'm pregnant every month, it would do that then I would get my period. I've had horrible depressed thoughts and just horrible horrible experience with this pill. I didn't gain or lose weight Did have some acne blotches every now and then"

For Endometriosis "This pill is the worst. I have been on many different etc pills due to insurance change and BCP discontinued YEARS. I have severe anxiety which I never have. I have heart palpitations and arrhythmias my new cardiologist says are benign. I have insomnia, nausea, bloating, spotting every week, and sweating! I have endometriosis which is awful but this pill takes the cake."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for a good year and a 1/2 or so. I started because after having my 2nd daughter, I hadn’t gotten my period for a year. She was exclusively breast feed as was her older sister (got my period back with her at 10 months old). So it’s been very effective in preventing pregnancy and I have had no bad side effects until recently. Within the past 3-4 months, I’ve noticed I’ve been having mood swings, emotional outbursts and horrible migraines (which historically I’ve never had), decreased libido (hubs works a lot now so no big deal), dizziness and fogginess. Throughout the course of using, I did notice depressive emotions. I’ve now been off for about 1.5 weeks and my headaches are lessened and I’m noticing positive mood changes however, my uterus and lower back are in mild discomfort and pain. My appetite has also gone back to normal so no overeating lol. I want my girls to have a happy mama."
