For Birth Control "Literally the worst birth control ever. I was on orsythia & my pharmacy said this was the "generic" version. My period was ALWAYS regular & my period came two weeks earlier this month. It also makes me break out & gained about 5 pounds. I have become very emotional & depressed & I was never like that now. I cry for everything. DO NOT RECOMMEND"

For Birth Control "Loved it at first and but now I'm totally over it. The first few days I got head aches, that went away quickly and didn't bother me much. The first week I was nauseous, that went away and was bearable. First month went by smoothly. Second month was absolutely bad. Non. Stop. Bleeding. It's not a heavy flow, just light spotting , but three weeks of light spotting is horrible! I've been PMS'ing for three freaking weeks! Fighting with my boyfriend, paranoid anxiety, acne all over my body AND A HORRIBLE VAGINAL ODOR it's not going away and makes my bf not want to have sex. So what's the point of bc if we're not even having sex?! Right now I haven't bled in 3 days which is a miracle but the smell still lingers and I'm showering 3 times a day.. my Dr keeps telling me to wait the 3/4 months for my body to adjust but the stench is unbearable and I'm probably going to switch brands."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Lessina post partum, and it has been super! Helped regulate my post partum depression, and anxiety. I however have an increase in appetite, and experienced mild headaches, and nausea for the first couple of weeks. I love the fact that it regulates my period, I always know when I'll have it, and am prepared! I definitely will continue to take love it."

For Birth Control "Took this Lessina birth control pillfor about 4-5 days and couldn’t stand the abdominal pain I was getting from it so I stopped, it was so bad I thought it was my appendix. I got acne and I’ve never had a problem with that, worst cramps ever, abdominal and bowel issues, going to the doctor in about a week to try something else out"

For Birth Control "It is very good no side effects. I've been on Depo and Mirena both of which I do not recommend but Lessina no acne, nothing. You might get moody and as long you work out you won't gain or take the pills early mornings."

For Birth Control "When I first started this pill on the first month, after a few weeks I broke out like crazy. I am on the second month now and it has gotten a lot better. I haven't broken out yet this month, but I just have some left over scarring. I haven't had any weight gain and have no effects of mood, but I do have breast tenderness. I had an increase in sex drive my first month but now it seems to have balanced out. The only thing is if I accidentally miss a day and double up the dose the next day I will feel extremely nauseous. I was previously on Trinessa lo and I prefer Lessina over Trinessa."

For Birth Control "My doctor has originally put me on Aviane but Walgreens gave me the generic brand which was something else. They then stopped giving me that and switched me to Lessina. Which I was taking for about a year. It was working great. I had no bad side effects. Wasn’t affecting my mental health. I’m actually trying to switch back to this now. Since I finished all of my refills I went to a different doctor to get the same prescription. But they gave me Vienva. I’ve been taking it for two months now and it’s made me really sad. Unmotivated."

For Ovarian Cysts "I'm on this medicine to help with a current ovarian cyst but the side affects are pushing me to surgery if living like this is my option. It makes me feel depressed and ready to cry at the drop of a hat, angry, mean, antisocial and it has absolutely killed my sex drive. I'm on my fourth and last dose because I'm not feeling like this anymore!"

For Birth Control "I was on a birth control that I really liked with no side effects and my pharmacist switched me to this brand saying it was generic. However, I have had headaches, awful headaches since starting this birth control. I’m always bloated and my anxiety is through the roof!"

For Birth Control "I was on Lessina for about 6 or 7 months. At first I was pretty content with this birth control. I have tried other brands but most had no affect on the heaviness of my period, which is why I was taking the pill to begin with. One of the definite pros of this pill is that I had absolutely no acne at all. I’m a 18 year old and before starting on this pill had some acne, rarely got acne while on this pill. If you are taking it for acne related reasons then I would suggest this pill. The downside is that it caused me to gain about 12 pounds within around 7 months. May not seem like that much but really adds up for a teenager. My mood swings weren’t easy either, everything would set me off and I was constantly angry. I’m switching to Junel birth control now. Given the reviews from it, I am somewhat nervous. Overall, this birth control mostly helped with my period making it shorter but still pretty heavy."

For Birth Control "My first month on Lessina I had pretty consistent migraines which I didn’t have before. After getting over that adjustment hurdle it’s been great. I used to have really bad joint pain before and after my periods but after starting lessina its been super mild if not non existent. It has also helped balance my mood. I used to have pretty bad mood swings which have also subsided over the last few months. When I first started, I read the reviews which freaked me out a little bit but remember everyone is different! I have loved my time being on Lessina and I wish you the best of luck finding something that works!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I have been on Lessina for about two years (I'm 18 years old) for ovarian cysts. I've noticed my periods are much lighter and more regular, which is awesome, and haven't had a cyst rupture while on it yet. Though it does regulate everything, I've found that it makes me depressed and makes me gain weight. It works for cysts, but wrecks my body and mind more than I thought it would."

For Birth Control "The anxiety from this Lessina birth control pill was bad for me. I had to stop taking it. Also the acne I could tell was getting worse. I was highly stressed. So people with depression and anxiety to be prepared for how this Lessina could affect you. I haven't been on it long at all, but I stopped almost immediately."

For Birth Control "Whatever you do, do not take this. It caused me to bleed excessively during my cycle. I use to take Ortho-tri cyclen. My gynecologist wanted to try me on another birth control when I turned 39 years old. I tried Lessina for 2 months and I will never try it again. I lost so much blood and I became dizzy. I went to the hospital after I passed out from taking it. I will no longer take it."

For Birth Control "I really like this birth control. I was originally on a different brand of the pill and it made me bloated and I alway felt slugish. I switched to the nuva ring which was not ideal for intercourse so back to my OB I went. I love Lessina no weight gain, no bloating, and minimal cramping during period. I did have side affect of acne but I changed my face wash and it cleared right up. I also swear it increases your sex drive but it could just be me."

For Birth Control "I had a very bad experience from this birth control. I had no issues at first, however, after a month of taking it I developed intense nausea. I started dry heaving every morning and completely lost my appetite and was unable to eat for about a week. I went to the doctor and they recommend I stop taking this pill. After a few days of stopping the pill I felt so much better and was able to start eating again. On top of the nausea this pill also made me very anxious and irritable. I normally don’t have anxiety. I come to find out all of this was because of this pill. I’m starting to feel like my regular self again after stopping this pill. I do not recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "I haven't taken any other birth control pills prior to lessina but while on it my extremely heavy, 6 day long period has subdued to a light non-painful, 2/3 day period which to me in itself is amazing. I've been on Lessina for about 7 months and the only side effects I can notice are that my breast are always sensitive and about 5-10 pound weight gain. No moody-ness or random crying. I've always had headaches so I don't think I could tie that in with the BC pills."

For Birth Control "I was advised to take this bcz it is the least hormonal birth control that works. I was horribly emotional with all the prior birth control pills, this one had no bad side effects & periods were much lightr. Of course I did gain the normal 5-10 lbs. (But thats always the case w/ birth control pills since they make your body think that you're pregnant). I truly believe that the bad reviews r ppl that had chronic issues w/ emotions or sinuses, etc & just kinda placed blame or really made themselves Believe that symptoms got worse when taking a new med. I stopped taking it in Feb. as my spouse and I are wanting a child. It is now nearing November (9 months) & I have not had a single spot or period since I stopped taking birth control. "

"I am 50 years old I started getting very sick a week before and the week during my period. My primary doctor diagnosed me as perimenopausal. I found a very nice OB/GYN who put me on Lessina November 30,2018 . The pill stop my symptoms right away but as soon as I took the sugar pills my symptoms came back . So the doctor wants me to try a back to back then try sugar pills again. If I get sick again I will have to do only active pills skipping sugars. The downside I would get more spotting or breakthrough bleeding but I don’t care the fact I was so sick I lost 30 LBS in 3 weeks it was scary but the Lessina pills helped so much."

For Birth Control "I had to switch to a new contraceptive after being on Depo for 5 yrs. Since I was used to having no periods on the Depo my doctor okayed me to take only active pills and never take the placebos. After 4 months, I started getting breakthrough bleeding on and off for the next 6 weeks. It did it's job, since I am baby-free, but I couldn't keep taking it from all the random bleeding for almost 6 weeks. While on it, I had headaches for the first few weeks, but they subsided. I was definitely more emotional while on it the first couple months, but that leveled out mostly. I still would cry easier, though. The good thing is that I did seem to have a little bit higher sex drive. "

For Birth Control "I was put on Lessina 3 months ago for heavy menstrual bleeding and large clots. The first pack, I did okay with a little spotting and a period that was heavy but less clots. The second month was horrible as far as spotting and the period goes. I spotted (basically a period worth) for the week leading up to my actual period. Then the period was excessively heavy. Now on the third month I am done with it all. I'm through my first week of active pills and am 'spotting' as heavy as my first day of a period. Heavy enough to wear pads. This is ridiculous and I would NOT recommend this medication to anyone. I've previously been on Lo Loestrin and plan to go back to that one."

For Birth Control "I was only on this pill for two weeks and immediately discontinued use due to massive weight gain (10lbs to be exact), mild nausea daily that was similar to morning sickness that lasted all day, headaches all day everyday, and the kicker, IMMENSE chest pain. My friend passed away from a PE directly related to this pill last month (per the coroner). She was 32. DO NOT TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "I have been on Lessina for about 3 months now. Before this I was on depo. This far I have had a few side effects such as gain weight, mood swings, and my first month I had the heaviest period I have ever experienced lasted almost 10 days. On a positive note my acne has cleared a lot. And I have been able to successfully skip my periods like I’ve wanted as well as having no babies! Everyone’s body is different"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Lessina for quite some time now.. I’m currently 18. I work out about 3 days a week and have regular eating habits, etc etc. From my experience so far, Lessina has been effective for birth control purposes (hopefully). However, I’ve noticed that over the course of taking the pills I’ve had frequent headaches, bloating, increased sex drive, and I haven’t seen anyone else with this problem, oh and but my hair is thinning out too. Of course, I can’t be 100% it’s because of Lessina but since I’ve started taking it, my hair has thinned very much to the point where I have to color in spots with makeup and whatnot. Other than that, my eating habits are completely normal, my period is regular, and I don’t have a significant change in emotional behavior like many others. Good luck :)"

For Birth Control "On my third month of lessina. Hasn’t cleared up my acne yet like I hoped but so far this is a good birth control. I had spotting the first month and now my period is super light, almost non existent, which is a plus. Duration went from 5 days when I wasn’t on any birth control to now maybe 3 days. Hoping in the next coming months my acne stars to clear but I definitely recommend this birth control"
