For Insomnia "I suffer from insomnia I was even taking lorazepam for a long time but I had to stop because it interacted with another medicine I had to take so I decided to try unisom tablets after so many other sleeping aids failed and this worked great for me ! I used it for three days and I m happy to say I have been sleeping on my own ever since!!"

For Insomnia "I bought these Unisom pills yesterday . What a big mistake ! It took 10 minutes to hit me from initial dose than went to sleep. I had horrific nightmares on it! Woke up extremely groggy and tingly in fingers and stiff neck!!! I usually don’t take sleeping pills but this one is bad !!! I don not recommend !!!!"

For Insomnia "I took 50mg for sleep and nausea because I'm pregnant. It helped with the nausea, sleep was another story. I felt relaxed 20 min after the dose. Then, I got a burst of energy and had a sleepless night. It felt like I drank an energy drink."

For Insomnia "Meh........ I work nightshift and spent a good few bucks for what I assumed to be a quality sleep aide. About 10-12 o’clock I felt horrible anxiety. I read that nervousness could be a side effect. I calmed down after my grandma rubbed my back some. I slept pretty well after that I will try it again once more and if it happens again that’s 10$ in the trash"

For Insomnia "I have major depression, which causes insomnia. I chose to take this OTC medication to help me sleep, thinking that since the side effects were minimal, according to drugs.com, this would be better than taking a prescription sleep aid. Woe! Was I wrong! As time went on, I became perplexed: Why was I having severe difficulty urinating? It wasn’t until I started trouble shooting, looking at all of the side effects on the internet of the medications I was taking, that I discovered that Unisom Sleep Tabs are anticholinergics, which can cause urinary retention, & this is why they should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks. Frankly, this information should be on the warning label in clear, complete, and concise terms for those that have insomnia due to Major Depression. In referring to my planner notes for when to buy more, I found out I had been taking it for 8 months! Once I stopped its use, 8 more months passed before my urinating normalized."

For Insomnia "Used as directed to help me get to sleep, took the gel pill, made me even more awake. Tried the other unisom with the other sleep aid medication, just made me dizzy, with dry mouth, and kept me awake. These are a joke!!!!!"

For Insomnia "I switched to this due to all the hype about how great it is for sleep. It is completely ineffective for me! Does nothing at the typical dosage. I can get it to work at larger doses, but that does not make it worthwhile. Diphenhydramine has been much more effective, I have just been taking it so long- thought it was time for a change."

For Insomnia "These have saved my sanity. After a rough 2 years that caused me to drink more than I should, my sleep cycles became extremely disrupted. I gave up alcohol but nothing helped restore my sleep. I am leary of prescription meds due to a history of dependence. Nothing I tried over the counter worked. Benadryl didn't touch me so didn't expect much. In the past 2 years I averaged 2 hours of sleep a night. Because of my experience with nothing working, I took 2 of these the first night. BIG mistake. I slept 13 hours and could hardly stay awake the next day. The last 2 nights I have taken one and sleep 8 hours but still some grogginess. I will try 1/2 tab tonight but this medicine has given me so much hope for sleeping again."

For Insomnia "So I am 24 weeks with my 2nd baby and my bed has become very uncomfortable. I wake up multiple times tossing and turning. My doctor told me I can take these tablets. The only thing I would say, is if you haven't taken them before, take half a dose. I took the whole dose and went to sleep, woke up late, and ended up taking a 5 hour nap and am still tired with a minor headache as well."

For Insomnia "Unisom is essentially a similar active ingredient in Benadryl, just 50mg rather than 25mg. Works like a charm to put me to sleep. Takes about 20 minutes for the drowsiness to kick in. Wake up fine, a little sleepy but a shower rectifies that in no time."

For Insomnia "I’ve been taking unisom sleep gels for 3 to 4 years every night. I was first suggested them from my ob/gyn while I was pregnant for nausea and for insomnia. I have no side effects while taking it. When I try to stop I get serious nausea, cold sweats and head aches it’s like really bad."

For Insomnia "I sleep great usually but this past week not so well. I took one unisom gel 50 mg and it did nothing for me. Maybe it goes by a person’s weight but it doesn’t say that on the bottle . A little nervous to take two."

For Insomnia "I took it for nausea back in 2020 and also to help me sleep. It worked great until it didn’t work at all anymore at 25mgs. I tried 50 one night and felt like I was going to pass out. Threw them away. Now having severe insomnia and desperate, been on prescription meds. I tried this again, 25mgs and it made me feel so weird, made me not be able to feel myself breathe, and I was up for hours for most of the night until that all could calm down. I will be throwing it right in the trash. I normally cannot take antihistamines or Benadryl or anything like that because they all make me feel similar and make my heart face. But since I was okay with Unisom in 2020 I thought I’d give it another go. This really sucks. I’m exhausted."

For Insomnia "I fall asleep naturally, then wake up after a few hours. I felt taking 1 whole unisom would help to fall and stay asleep. I had no idea it was a antihistamine, or it could affect glaucoma. while I don't have glaucoma, I do have high eye pressure when I was tested in the 19-20 range. I will stop taking it and see what happens. If I have trouble, I will try 1/2 a tablet and see how it works. I have no trouble going to the bathroom at night on this however, and when I do I usually go right back to sleep"

For Insomnia "For some reason, after taking the 2 tablets, when I get the sensation of impending sleep, I’m jolted out of my “sleepiness” because of what feels like sleep apnea. I would guess, this medicine relaxes so much that my breathing changes... horrible feeling. So with that.... I got zero sleep!"
