For Birth Control "I used to be all organic for 28 years. I started this birth control and now I’ve been on it for almost a year now. I gained an insane amount of weight 15-20lbs total. I would have a ravenous appetite, be moody and depressed. Crazy amount of anxiety and overall unhappiness. I would always be so energized and this made me lazy and sad. I would have really scary thoughts, loosing my self confidence. The worst part of this drug was finding bald spots in my hair. I have thick healthy really long hair and I felt so sad and heartbroken to find bald spots. I was devastated and decided then and there to stop it. I never want to be on birthcontrol again. I am really scared to ever try this again I will be using condoms instead. I will highly recommend that no one try this drug it is unhealthy and the side effects are just traumatizing. I don’t think this type of drug should be approved by the FDA by the amount of negative side effects it has on women."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 3 weeks, I have been experiencing severe depression, anxiety and mood swings. My sex drive is very low, and I cry uncontrollably and for no reason. I was on Apri prior to this and it worked well and made me very even-keel. I will be switching back my next doctor's visit."

For Birth Control "The birth control is definitely doing its job at making sure I don't get pregnant, so that's why I gave it some stars. However, I have been experiencing BAD hair loss and lifeless hair which I have narrowed down to this pill, and have noticed other women mention the same thing. I also get motion sickness in vehicles if I am not driving. I have gained 10 pounds since getting on this medication and my diet and expercise regiment has not changed. My skin was clear to begin with, and I did not end up getting acne from Reclipsen, except for a few pimples right before my period. My periods are average. My PMS seems worse than it used to be. I will be making an appointment to switch my birth control. I hope this helps someone."

For Birth Control "Pros: I never became pregnant, I had less frequent and severe cramps and it may have helped with acne although I started a new regimen around the same time. Cons: within the first month of starting I had a yeast infection and over the next 2 years I would have some kind of vaginal or bladder infection every other month. My libido decreased dramatically and in addition to that I was constantly dry down there. I experienced some dizziness and nausea which is to be expected. Lastly, I became a huge cry baby when I used to be able to count how many times I cried in a year on one hand."

For Birth Control "This birth control is wonderful because I never have cramps (I used to have them so bad that I would throw up) I rarely have acne (I've never had worse than very mild acne before though) My boobs grew (Big boobs run in my family...) But it gives me CONSTANT yeast infections(I shower daily, sometimes twice and wear full coverage underwear and this doesn't make a difference!!!). I will be switching soon... No mood swings either."

For Birth Control "Worsens depression, fatigue, increased appetite, weight gain, bloating, constant mild fever, headaches, unstable mood swings, decrease in sex drive overall but spikes in demand for sex at certain times (unstable). It did work as a birth control and did not worsen or help with my slight acne. I was on Bupropion 300mg for a few months before I started Reclipsen. It countered the positive effects of Bupropion; increased energy, decreased appetite."

For Birth Control "I've used this birth control for 8 years. I was a late bloomer, and didn't have my first period until well into age 16, I'm told because I'm small and athletically inclined. I never had cramps or mood swings - but my periods were extremely irregular and would arrive unexpectedly to ruin my favorite pairs of underwear. My doctor selected this initially due to cost, as I was not sexually active and just wanted regulation. Now at age 24, I'm happy to report it's effectiveness at preventing pregnancy, as well as a complete lack of any side effects. No acne, no weight gain, no mood swings, no spotting, no cup size enhancements (unfortunately) and a nice 4-5 day window that I know exactly when and how much I'm going to bleed."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for over a year now and I didn't think it was that bad. I thought I had finally found my birth control but now I have changed. I loved this pill because it really controlled my periods and cramps. I had little cramps and lighter periods, but my period wouldn't start until 3 days after taking the sugar pills. I've been reading other comments about headaches and I can agree that I have had headaches every other night but they weren't bad. I could still fall asleep. I am changing to a different pill because I didn't like how I gained weight on this pill. I gained 10 pounds at least, and I've been getting heavier. It's really hard to lose the weight on this pill also. time for a change!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 1 month as of next Sunday, and i must point out that there are some downfalls of this birth control. Reclipsen does work very well as a reliable birth control method as long as you follow the instructions that come with the medication (taking one pill once a day at the same time daily). However, since a few days after I began taking reclipsen, I've been running into some issues concerning painful headaches and acne flare ups. I've been on Ortho-Tri Cyclen birth control pill in the past, & I do not remember having any issues as far as headaches or acne while I was on that medication. Reclipsen is reliable, but do beware because you may receive some uncomfortable side affects when beginning this medication."

For Birth Control "I was on reclipsen for less than 2 weeks and it caused blood clots. I had DVT and Pulmonary Embolisms. I'm one of the lucky ones that lived through those diagnoses. I had taken other BC on the past and always had terrible side effects but never had an issue with clots. I also have no other contributing factors besides being overweight. I was 26 and never smoked in my life. No genetic issues either. I advise everyone to be careful when considering any birth control option. Know the signs of blood clots. It could save your life. "

For Birth Control "I've been taking Reclipsen for a little more than a year and it has been great! My periods last about the same as when I wasn't taking it (a bit heavier). The first few months I started taking it I lost about 10 pounds and now I am back to my normal weight. I would recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I've used Reclipsen for 10 months now and I've only had a few problems. I get a little more moody that I used to, but I feel like moodiness is pretty common anyway. My period is a little heavy on the second day but only lasts 4 days. It is GREAT at preventing pregnancy, it cleared up my acne, didn't gain any weight, and my breasts got bigger! I have however had a few urinary tract infections over the past couple months, they are quite painful but not a deal breaker. Also not sure if they were due to Reclipsen. Overall a wonderful experience!"

For Birth Control "Reclipsen was recommended to me by my doc when I was on other previous BC , because the dosage wasn't strong enough. I have been on Reclipsen regularly for about a year now and my depression, anxiety is through the roof. Everything makes me irritable and I always want to be left alone. It feels horrible! I was not always this way. Before the pill I was much more relaxed and enjoyed company! I do not recommend this pill to anyone and will not be taking it anymore. Too much stress and anxiety on my body. I always feel fatigue, exhausted, no energy or sex drive!"

For Birth Control "After my first month on this pill, I have had non stop acne on my chin like I have never had before. Also, I had my period (5 days) and then continued to spot for another 7 days. I don't weigh myself but it is obvious I've gained weight as well. Don't even get me started about my over the top mood swings. I never had these problems when I was on Orthocept. Even though it has been only one month and it may balance out after a few months, I do not think I will wait to find out."

For Birth Control "Reclipsen pros prevents pregnancy, clear skin, regular cycles. Cons weight gain, extreme mood swings, longer periods, depression, nausea, increased appetite, frequent yeast infection/bacterial vaginitis combination. I will finding a better match for me. I was taking Reclipsen for about 1 year then stopped taking it and all my cons went away. I lost 15 pounds with no change in activity and my yeast infections and mood swings stopped."

For Birth Control "I am 25 yrs and have started Reclipsen only a month ago. Before using it I had long, painful and heavy periods (7-9 days). I do know it is early to say, but I wanted to share my experience since I was really freaked out when planning on starting it, while reading all the bad reviews. So far the only side effect is the breakthrough bleeding. It lasted for 7 days. On a plus side, my period lasted only 4 days, and only 1 day I had cramps (before Reclipsen, 4 - 5 days of some sort of cramps). If the breakthrough bleeding stops happening in the next couple of months I am coming back and giving it a 10 on the rating scale. No mood changes, no pain, no weight gain so far."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for about three years now with a brief time on Amethia. I LOVE Reclipsen. I started taking it when I was 15. I have never experienced any negative side effects. The only things I have experienced are my breasts getting a little larger, a MUCH lighter and shorter period, and improved acne. I will stick to this birth control probably until I decide to have kids and after. Highly recommend this for young girls."

For Birth Control "I took reclipsen for almost 3 weeks and couldn't even finish out the month. After the first few days I had pretty bad nausea, so I started taking it at night, that helped. But that's when the headaches started. All within the first two weeks my appetite went crazy (I am typically a very healthy eater) I've even gained a few pounds, I go to the gym about 4 times a week. I typically have very clear skin but I started breaking out all over. (Not just on my face) I've had anxiety pretty bad and sometimes I want to cry for no reason! My last straw, two days ago I got my first migraine since I was a kid. I have switched to Minastrin 24 fe and I am really hoping it works better for me. I know everyone's body reacts differently!"

For Birth Control "This is the second month I have been on Reclipsen, I had to change from the pill I took before due to breakthrough issues. I have noticed that I have very bad headaches after taking the medication. I had severe migraines last week during my period week, even though my period didn't start until a day after the migraine. I have never had such intense side effects of taking birth control but I don't know why else I would have such headaches. I'm starting to feel like there is no birth control out there for me. I wish there was birth control for men instead!"

For Birth Control "I am not happy with reclipsen. I have gained a ton of weight in the last 3 months I have been on it, I get super nauseous in the mornings, and I have one extremely bad migraine on the last day of the pills. I changed to reclipsen because my other BC was giving me headaches. Now I'm fat and have zero sex drive. I am going to stop reclipsen asap."

For Birth Control "I had been on Reclipsen for a year and use it to regulate and skip periods. From the very start everything was going well, I had better skin, no weight gain, when I skipped there was no spotting or anything. But I did notice that when I would stand up too fast I would have a slight and short cramp. And it wasn't until I just tried out a new birth control (Microgestrin for 3 weeks) that I noticed how Reclipsen depleted my sex drive completely. I might end up switching back to Reclipsen and try taking B vitamins."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for one year exactly and I mainly went on this for my skin but I didn't notice anything different with my acne when I was on it compared to when I didn't take birth control. The only thing I can say was that around the time I got my period, my face was the clearest it ever was and then as soon as my period stopped, I began to breakout again. I think with this birth control I did gain weight, probably around 15-20 pounds. It also made me very moody. I never got so upset/mad as easily as I did when I was on this. I felt like an emotional wreck at times because I would get mad so easily and I hated it. I decided that this birth control, while effective for preventing pregnancies, was not for me."

For Birth Control "Horrible. Horrible. Horrible!!! Do NOT take reclipsen. I'm finishing off my 2nd week and I've been miserable! My heart rate has been crazy. I've been having panic attacks that I haven't had in a long time. I've had a migraine for 2 days now. Nothing will make it go away. I've basically OD on headache medicine. I've felt so dizzy and light headed. My depression has came back. Screwed up my sleep. Super nauseous. No appetite. Some people say they've gained weight, but I've lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks, NOT the healthy way. I've been so miserable and it's sooo not worth it!! Save yourself and DO NOT TRY IT!!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Reclipsen for a little over four years. From the beginning, I never really had any issues with this birth control. I gained 5-7 lbs within the first few months (not a big deal to me) and had some irregular spotting. Since then, the only side effects were breast tenderness (around my menstrual cycle) and some moodiness during my period. What girl doesn't get moody during that time? Overall, I haven't had any other side effects. I will continue with Reclipsen until otherwise."
