For Sciatica "I just took my first 10 mg cyclobenzaprine tablet. For sciatica that’s causing severe muscle cramping in my left butt cheek, hamstring muscle and calve. I’m ok if I’m laying or sitting a certain way....but the minute I stand/walk it’s agony. I'm at a point that I’d take drowsy anyway just to get rid of this pain!"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I had a breast augmentation and was required to take 10mg 3x day for the first few days after surgery. Never felt any pain. On my bottle it warns of extreme drowsiness- don't know why this is such a shock to some. I ended up only taking 6 total and have some left over. It's been 3 years since my surgery but I'm so glad I have some on hand, as I threw out my shoulder. Yes, it will either knock you out, or keep you up. You'll feel hungover either way. But it does what it's supposed to do; if you're in enough pain, it's worth the relief."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "This was the first time I had ever taken cyclobenzaprine. I took one (1) 10mg on a Thursday evening about 6:30 pm, and all day the next day I felt slight confusion, loss of concentration and it felt like my head was in a fog. Did not help with pain but allowed me to get some much needed sleep."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been on this medication off and on for several years and have had Fibromyalgia for over 20 years. Cyclobenzaprine along with Lyrica have allowed me to live a somewhat normal life. I get a far more restful sleep and am able to sleep through the night instead of waking every hour or so. My previous Doctor retired and it took me almost 2 years to find another . For 18 of those months I was without medications,( walk in clinics would not prescribe these medications) my quality of life diminished and I came very close to losing my job. Once I found a new Doctor and I was back on my medications, within a few weeks I was able to function again. For me Cyclobenzaprine and Lyrica have been the perfect combo to help manage my FM"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia "I took this and I found rest. True rest. I have been given so many scripts, none did anything for the tight muscle pain, or the seizing of my muscles, which I thought was it for me forever. I have been given extended release medicines for sleep, and nothing. It took a while for me to realize I was not sleeping at night because of my muscles not relaxing. I took this at 8 p.m. last night, and fell asleep, I woke up at like 12:45, My habit from long term spasms...but then I went right back to bed. Then I woke up, {I swear it was just because of habit again} at 3:45, I fell right back asleep. I finally woke up at 5:50 a.m for good. I could not tell you the last time I slept all night, and 6 in the morning is the latest I have slept in yrs. I have tried all types of medicines."

For Sciatica "After more than a month of sciatica pain and chiropractic treatment I woke one morning and could not get out of bed. Called 911 and was taken to hospital in a wheelchair. Within 30 minutes of taking cyclobenzaprine, I was able to walk out of the hospital. That was 8 years ago. I have not had problems since and have not needed to purchase any more medicine than the initial prescription."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I injured my back and was barely able to move without pain, even laying still have me severe pain. Flexiril helped the pain, but the mental side effects were awful! I was not on tramadol due to being allergic to it, so that can't be the culprit. My husband and I found that it made me really mean and nasty. On top of that, I was having very depressive, borderline suicidal thoughts! I even did an experiment where I swore to my husband that I had quit taking it, and after about 2-3 weeks I took one tablet at bedtime. The next day I was downright nasty and depressed again. Don't take this drug if you can help it."

For Back Pain "Years ago, being a sign-man, standing around doing road work, it ended up hurting people's backs. A lot of people I knew were taking cyclobenzaprine. One day my back was killing me, and against my better judgment I took a 10mg tablet. It was given to me. Wow, my back stopped hurting and I lay down in what should be an uncomfortable position, but I felt nothing. I was dizzy from 10mg, that lasted until the next day. I saw how powerful it was. Only take when and as prescribed! I exercised and changed some habits. NSAIDs don't work for me, but I don't need Cyclobenzaprine. On a side note, years later, someone I knew broke their back. They were given many medications. They said Cyclobenzaprine helped with the pain the most, more than opiates or NSAIDs. It serves a very good purpose when used correctly. It was a real lifesaver for my friend with the broken back. (Car accident)"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I was diagnosed with with spondylolisthesis (L3-4 & L 4-5) 30 years ago in my 20's. Pain was so bad I would not be able to stand and I would drop to the floor. I had frequent pain with 5-6 extreme episodes of my back severely "going out" for days in the next 20 years, and was eventually given Flexeril. A physical therapist taught me to stretch my hamstrings and glutes when tight, as they are connected to and pull on my lower back muscles, which in turn pulls and pinches nerves in my L-vertebrae. I can usually avoid my back "going out" by stretching + OTC pain relief, but I take 1 Flexeril at night for a day or 2 if really bad and it relaxes my muscles enough to un pinch the nerves and relieve the severe pain. Because of my condition, I still have low back pain after vacuuming, gardening, hiking long distance, etc., but my back hasn't "gone out" in 10 years. I DO wake up groggy in the morning after taking Flexeril, so if I have to go to work the next day, I may only take half a pill."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I thought this was helping my back and sciatica. Today was my 4th day taking it and I have stomach pain so bad I am contemplating going to the emergency room. I can't keep any food down at all either. This is worse than the back/leg pain."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed this drug for help with muscle spasms resulting from a problem in my neck. The associated pain was extreme and occasionally paralyzing. Combined with naproxen it was effective at reducing the pain and allowing me to sleep. In 6 months I have used precisely twelve 10mg doses out of a prescription of 30. Two initially to help control the spasms with occasional maintenance doses when I felt that a problem was imminent. I will not take this during the day because it promotes sleep and would affect my ability to drive. The only other side effect is a loose stool the following day, but it is mild."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "Been taking this medication (10mg twice a day) along with Meloxicam for neck pain and severely compressed disc in my back (what they call Degenerative Disc Disease). Also taking extra strength Tylenol because the Flexeril and Meloxicam are barely giving me any relief from the pain which persist constantly."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "This medication is bad. I was put on it for knee pain. Caused me extreme constipation, and headache. I was taking 20mg once per day. I am not using it anymore. Since the crackdown on hydrocodone (which I used to have prescribed to me). My Dr. prescribed this drug. Never again will I use this medication. Check the side effects before getting it from your pharmacy. Caused me too much stomach issues both digestive, etc. I am 58 years old."

For Migraine "I have dealt with chronic migraines and back pain since my early teens. I've been experiencing some awful muscle/joint pain, tension headaches/migraines, and sciatica for weeks now. I saw my doctor today and she prescribed me Flexiril for the muscle/joint pains. I had a migraine this morning. I took some Excedrin and it made it a little bearable but it was there all day until now... Oh my God the flexiril has worked. I've taken multiple migraine meds, both over the counter and prescription and NOTHING has ever worked this fast. I'm legit amazed at how much better I feel already. She didn't prescribe it for the migraines but I may see if she will. I hate meds usually, but this really works!"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "Was prescribed this for severe Sciatica and piriformis inflammation. This drug did absolutely NOTHING other than knock me out for few hours of deep sleep every time am bad drowsiness. I was then able to find some SOMA which is a miracle pain killer drug by comparison. Even better than the Percosets without apparent side effects. Yet, the doctors are completely paranoid to prescribe it unlike this useless Flexeril. Just check out the reviews on both drugs and compare."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "Flexeril does not seem to have any type of effects on my fibromyalgia. I take 2 of these 10mg and still do not feel anything. I would like stronger medication but since the opioid crackdown its impossible for me to get anything stronger than this"

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "My GP suggested I try Amrix after I had a flare-up of severe sciatica along with related lumbar pain. A year ago I was diagnosed with a dessicated disc at L5-S1. I first had only localized pain in the lower back; however, after several months, I began to experience intense sciatic pain. At that time, I underwent 3 epidural steroid injections, which cleared most of the pain for approximately 1 year. This recurrence was extremely intense; I was barely able to walk. I began to overcompensate while walking, causing severe muscle spasms. On a scale of pain 0-to-10, I was at 9 for about 4 days. I took 1 Amrix at bedtime for 10 days. My pain went from 9 to 7 to 4 to 3 in just 3 days. By day 7, I had no sciatic pain at all. Truly amazing."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "Told to take 5mg once a day - 1 pill. Felt like I had taken Benadryl and Claritin at the same time. Took yesterday at 1:30pm, it is now 10:30am next day. I feel drowsy, incoherent and disoriented. My heartbeat is fast. Called and told Dr to get me something else. I will never take again. Makes no sense considering its been 21 hours later that it is not our of my system. This is the exact reason I don't take medications. I could have just dealt with the pain from my neck, than the side effects of this drug."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I take fexeril with Ultram and it does me wonders. I'm 27 and have a very bad back and neck. I take them in the mornings to keep the pain away while staying active. The only problem I have with fexeril is that may heart likes to race every-once-in-awhile and if I take it and don't do anything I fall asleep."

For Fibromyalgia "Had fibromyalgia for over 10 years, very unrestful sleep. 2.5-5.0 mg of Cyclobenzaprine at night changed everything. I'm now able to get into deep sleep and stay there for 8 hours. Makes a world of difference in the pain and depression. Restful sleep is key to MANY disorders."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia "I was given this medication for fibromyalgia. Now at 21 years of age I am having heart problems. The first medication they took me off of after the heart problems surfaced was Amrix. Upon further research and communication with Amrix representatives I found that this medication is not supposed to be used for over a period of 3 weeks. Something my doctors obviously were unaware of. Just letting everyone out there know in case they find themselves in a similar situation."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "Ok so I got Flexeril 10mg prescribed from an ER np, after going through ultra sounds etc. for what I feared was a DVT. Things came back nornal, so she gave me this. I took one the next night, and about 30 minutes later, started nodding off...but this wasn't your normal dosing off. Everytime I would feel myself dosing, I'd start hearing voices. These sleepyness/auditory hallucinations were the first effects. I didn't even notice if the pains were still there because I was constantly fighting to stay awake because the auditory hallucinations started to really scare me. Probably about an hour or so later, I completely knocked out (around 11:30) and didn't wake up until 1 pm the next day. Won't take this ever again "

For Muscle Spasm "I have taken this a few times, for muscle spasms- due to whiplash and other injuries over the years. I am currently prescribed it once more for a pulled gluteal muscle, but this time I am only on 5 mg once a day at night, for two weeks. 10 mg simply knocks me out and leaves me feeling completely hungover and drained the next day. I gave it a 9 because sometimes it wakes me up with horrid dry mouth and it takes me a little longer to fully wake up in the morning."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "Was given Flexeril and Tramadol for post op pain and muscle spasms following hip replacement surgery. Lucky to be alive. Spent 19 days on a ventilator, had a heart attack in the IC unit, awoke from a coma after three weeks, hallucinations like being in Hell, pretty much written off for dead, then slowly and miraculously recovered due to the prayers of unbelievable friends,family, and friends of friends. Hate to say it, but I think we're better off accepting that pain is part of the human condition and we're best off just living with it."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed Flexeril 5mg every 4-6 hours after having back surgery on my L5S1. It was prescribed along with Hydrocodone. Absolutely no issues with it while I took it every day for a week. Now I only use it as needed for my back. I have had no hallucinations or foggy brain with it. I'll usually take it before bed if my back muscles are tense. It does what it is supposed to do and helps relax my muscles enough to go to sleep. This medication is not supposed to be used long term, every single day. I only use it once or twice every few months. Its also helpful to do some stretches with it to help loosen those strained muscles. It is also not supposed to be taken with Tramadol. If you're taking Tramadol with it, please stop. That is what is causing your hallucinations. Look up Tramadol, the reviews are awful. I was prescribed Tramadol a few months before my back surgery and it did nothing for my pain. Tramadol is known to make people "crazy"."
