For Acne "I found this gel great, within a few days I saw results, my skin looked a lot calmer and pores looked better. However, it is very drying and makes my skin peel (on my chin) but moisturising often does reduce the amount of peeling and means that my face doesn’t hurt. I moisturise in the morning, midday, and about an hour after I’ve applied the gel, I only get the occasional peeling (but this could also be due to the harsh winter weather drying out my skin). I’ve noticed and my family and friends have said that they have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. It’s also evened our the texture slightly to reduce indentations in my skin caused by acne"

For Acne "my dermatologist prescribed this cream for my acne. I see many people say that a week after they had pimples and that's normal! My dermatologist warned me that it was a normal process and I can tell you that it's been 2 months I apply this cream and I have nothing (at the first week it's true that it made me break out but now I have no pimples:) )"

For Acne "I had very clear skin until I was 17. I have been suffering from Acne since then in the year 2012. Been on antibiotics, tried benzoyl peroxide none of the prescribed medications worked. I got so depressed, I would avoid family or friends because I did not want them to see the state of my skin. This year I said I need to get my skin clear by all means. Went to the dermatologist and got prescribed this gel! Life saver! Have not had a spot since I have used it and that is 2 months so far. Alongside this gel I went for microneedling at my local beauty spa to get rid of acne scaring they recommend a course of 3 to 5. I am on my third one and all scars have disappeared already. I might say though my acne was very mild and scaring was very little. Hope you find something that works for you :)"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! It made me breakout like never before. I had barely any acne before i began this product, but wanted to get rid of my occasional pimple for good. My dermatologist prescribed me this and i used it for a little over a week. My face has never been so dry, irritated, and worst of all, covered in acne. I had a huge breakout on my chin and yes this may just be the initital purge, but it ruins your skin and it is hard to recover from this. I was so depressed during this week and actually felt like a worthless human being because my face looked so bad. Dont trust these harsh skin products!!!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I had a sudden outbreak of what the derm called adult acne. It came back after it was almost better two weeks later and I went to the Dr. He prescribed Ziana which I use at night and my face not only got 100% better with 0 blemishes but it has not broken out again since. It does make me wake up Very oily, but once I wash my face and apply makeup I don't have that issue throughout the day. I didn't experience any redness or drying. Great product for me!"

For Acne "My dermatologist prescribed this after I got a flare up of breakouts that were causing awful hyperpigmentation on my face. I'm starting off slowly (one week in applying every other day before bed time). So far I've experienced two small breakouts and some dryness but nothing substantial. I've also noticed it's helping a bit with the hyperpigmentation. Excited to see the results in 12 weeks! Will try to update this with my final results."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "Absolutely horrible. After using for only two days my skin feels like it is on fire constantly. It literally feels like my skin is burning off of my face. This was after only two small applications to my face."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I have used Epiduo in the past. Veltin appears to help many people and be a great product, it doesn't help me too much! It causes my skin to be irritated, and I automatically started peeling like CRAZY after one dosage. Everyone is different, but if Veltin isn't working for you, try Epiduo!"

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I'm a teenager with moderate acne, and I used this product in conjunction with 50mg of doxycycline twice daily for two months. All I can say is, neither of these products helped my skin at all, and I'll say that they probably made my skin worse. The first two weeks on these products, my skin did nothing, got neither worse nor better, but by week 3 my face exploded with acne in places I usually don't even get acne, and for the rest of the two months my skin got no better after that breakout. I even went dairy free in order to hopefully reap the best results from this product, but it didn't work out either way."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "Before this I used to have so many little bumps on my forehead as well as acne then I started using all these products recommended which made it worse. Later after going to my dermatologist which recommended me Biacna (canadian version of ziana). after about a week of using it the PURGE WAS CRAZY!!! It got so much worse, but my dermatologist said it’s normal and to keep patient now it’s my 2 weeks and all my acne and bumps are gone now and it’s just marks I have to deal with! good luck everyone and be patient the results are astonishing!!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "My rating of 7 out of 10 is mostly just based on my hope that this is a 10. Was using TactuPump (adapolene and benz. per.) but had far too bad hyper-pigmentation. I'm white as a ghost so it looked like I was using tanning lotion or something. Biacna (Canadian name for same drug as Ziana) has really made a mess of my face so far. I'm going to suffer it for a couple more weeks. (It's only been one week so far). At least it's not tanning my face. So disappointed I couldn't tolerate the TactuPump. It worked really, really well. Side effects just weren't 'do-able' - Biacna has so far just made my face break out like crazy, and triggered a bout of rosacea around my cheeks close to my nose. Totally dry. No moisturizer has helped. I'm just trying to suck it up and deal with it for a while longer. Thanks to all who share here, your experiences really help knowing I'm not some weird case."

For Acne "DONT GIVE UP HOPE. Im persribed Clindamycin topical lotion for AM & Treinoin topical cream for PM. I had bad forehead acne, it began leaving dark marks & pits. Never having a problem with acne b4, i decided to go to the doc. She said may take 8-12 weeks to see results. I began to break out even more than before using the medicine (this is good, dirt is surfacing) used day & night for 2 months & i was still scarring after each pimple. went in for my 3 month check up with a blemish free face but still had pits/scars. doc told me to hang in there & sure enough 5 months using day & night, no pimples + scars have faded/disappeared! use Cerave facewash & moisurizer.. expensive but has helped eliminate my forehead wrinkles too. DONT GIVE UP ON IT"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I'm a female in my mid 20s with mild acne, mostly around my jawline and occasionally right over my eyebrows. I was prescribes Ziana about a month ago by my dermatologist. I had previously been using Finacea. With Finacea, I still had the monthly 2-3 deep pimples that took weeks to completely go away. After starting Finacea, I have only had ONE pimple on my chin that went away in a few days. I did not experience the "purge" my dermatologist warned me about. That may be due to the monthly facials I have started to get, but I'm not sure. I have noticed a drastic difference in my breakouts and skin overall. I have not noticed a difference in my acne 'scars' or pink/reddish brown marks left from previous breakouts, but I will wait and see."

For Acne "I'm 29 yrs old, doctor prescribed me Treclin, which is clyndomycin & tretinoin gel, for my adult acne. My acne was mostly on my chin & jaw area. First few weeks were horrendous, I broke out on my forehead, my temples, my cheeks. I wanted to give up but he told me to use every single night for at least 12 weeks to see a difference. It's been almost 4 months now and I'm still breaking out - not as badly but every week I seem to have one or 2 really sore cystic spots. The scarring from old acne has improved (texture & colour) but what's the point in using an acne prevention gel if it's going to leave new scarring behind. I'm conflicted on what to do next. Nothing seems to be helping fully!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I have had minor acne since sophomore year of college (now graduated). I'm afraid my dermatologist has not been good about following up with me long-term, so I've probably been misusing the medication for a while. It clears up my clogged pores really nicely (yay!) but there are still lots of blackheads and sometimes the clogged pores stay there a long time. I'm a skin picker (bad) so that has aggravated my acne from touching my face and caused some minimal scarring which I can easily cover up with makeup. One of my least favorite things about this medicine is that, although it clears most of my clogged pores, I have noticed an increase in painful cystic acne around hotspots (potentially due to the onset of hormonal acne)."

For Acne "So I just started using this last night for the first time. I have had horrible acne every since I was a tween and even worse after 2 kids. Clindamycin and Benzoyle did not touch it. I have read the reviews and to start, my doctor and pharmacist stressed to me NOT to wear this gel on my skin out during the day in the sun. That could be where the bad experiences are coming from. It is supposed to be used at night time before bed strictly. Also to wash off before you go outside from the night before. I am waiting to get into a dermatologist so this is an experiment for me in the meantime since nothing else seems to be working for me. I will keep posted on how it affects my skin but I would get all the facts before using something as potent as this gel before thinking it will be gone in a week or 2."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I've been using this, along with a medicated morning scrub, for about 3 months now. I've noticed less inflamed acne spots, but I still get normal break out flares at different times. I'm still waiting to see consistent results at this point. But, I did stop using the Veltin Gel while I had a stomach virus, and even just missing the one dose that evening, the next day I had brand new flare ups of acne. So the medicine is definitely doing something."

For Acne "The best way to describe this product is a total "lifesaver"! Reading these reviews, I've noticed people are too quick to judge this product within the first few weeks because they are not patient enough to wait for results. Topical creams take a few months to work their magic and truly take effect. I did not start to notice results until 4 full months of using this product. I went from terrible hormonal and cystic acne to completely clear skin, similar to the results you see from oral Accutane pills. The only reason I do not give this product a full 10 rating is that it is extremely drying. If you don't moisturize 24/7 your skin can get to the point where it flakes off and you cannot apply any makeup over it. However, with a proper routine, this can be avoided. You also need to beware the sun, it causes you to get severely red or even blister. Truly, the pros outweigh the cons. This product is fantastic and it been the only thing to help my skin!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "HERE WE GO... New product. I search all product before taking them, I read all reviews and make my choice to try the product.. I will try this, but I will follow through and tell you my experience! Here is some info about me. I am 26 years old (female) Hormonal imbalance (cyst) and bumpy cheeks. I get under the skin cyst that pop up once a month, sometimes two to three at a time. If I mash them, nothing really comes out, but it leaves holes in my face.. the bumps on my cheeks are around my ears and were I would apply blush. I changed out my brushes btw. Anyways other them that I have moderate skin, no severe acne. I am fair skinned. and I'm combination skin type. I go from oily by the end of the day with flakes under my makeup (lol)"

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I went to the dermatologist seeking help for young, hormonal acne before it got worse. I tried clendimycin. It worked until my skin began to break out. My dermatologist recommended Veltin. It worked well, however, my skin dried out. It started to peel back, almost like a bad sunburn. I recommend using veltin, as long as you use a moisturizer with it. I am going on an excursion out of the country soon, and I was starting to run out. (Note: it is recommended not to use a benzoyl peroxide with veltin which decreases the effectiveness of the product.) I dismissed this claim and I am using a non-prescription benzoyl peroxide product, at time of spot treating problem zones with veltin. No complications have came yet, however, use with caution as this product WILL dry your skin, and even more irritation will occur if using a more vigorous product at the same time. I recommend this product for moderate acne."

For Acne "I was prescribed this and at first it was working well, but after about a week of using this product the area that I was applying the gel got a terrible rash. It took the acne away but looked almost like a burn mark and was quite painful. Would not recommend."

For Acne "For those reading these comments and being freaked out, don't worry, I did the same, just know this stuff works. You have to be patient with this medicine!!! I started it about a year ago and I think it took a total of 4-5 months till I was absolutely free of acne. Ever since that "it has to get worse before it gets better" stage, I think at most I've had 2 pimples at my face at once. This medicine is amazing and it does have side effects like when your skin is in the sun it is more likely to peel, and the dryness but I definitely think the pros outweigh the cons. if you are hesitant on this I definitely reccommend it - just remember to be patient!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "Luckily my skin never "purged" with this product and just cleared it up! I was prescribed birth control and ziana for my acne and never even had to start birth control because of the effectiveness of the gel. I haven't had problems with over drying with the exception of a sunburn that made me peel, just make sure to always wear face sunscreen! It's worked wonders for my skin!"

For Acne "I am 29 years old, and since my early twenties my acne continued to get worse and worse. I visited a dermatologist in Sept. 2017, and she told me that I have moderate acne. She prescribed me Biacna topical gel (applied once per day before bed). My skin responded really well! I did not even have the "get worse before it gets better" stage. I used to have very deep, painful cystic acne all over my cheeks/chin. Now I rarely have more than one or two pimples at a time. And when I do get a pimple it's small, and goes away quickly. *Be sure to use very mild cleansers and moisturizers while using this treatment. I made the mistake of using another product at the same time and my skin got really red and flaky for a couple days."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) for Acne "I used this for one month with little to no results on my face; on my chest, it cleared up the clogged pores very quickly. I'll be switching back to Epiduo, a stronger retinoid and less risky anti-septic (topical antibiotics pose the risk of creating antibiotic resistant bacteria). After seeing that most of you experienced notable improvement within a month, if not a few weeks, I'm forfeiting this treatment."
