Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "Chest pains, headaches galore. Not to mention my memory has been horrible and my legs have been very restless. Thursday (11/22/18) I was relaxing, calm. But then there was a ringing in my ears as there had been everyday 3 days prior. I began to feel like I was dying, which was me beginning to panic due to the effects I've been having. I haven't had health anxiety since I was 8 years old. I'm 18 now, but never this bad. I began to get agitated very quickly and I couldn't stop moving. I was pacing around my house, moving my legs, rocking back and forth and threatening my parents as I grew more agitated and feeling like I was in a cage. I could not get in touch with my prescriber so I had to go to the ER. Eventually, I got tired and it subsided so I did not need the sedative the hospital staff wanted to give me. Blood work, EKG and urine test all fine. I've been on it for roughly 6-8 weeks and it stopped working."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "I have schizoaffective disorder. For a long time I thought Rexulti was a miracle. Over time though I started having metabolic problems and my psychiatric symptoms returned, albeit altered. I had to quit due to medical reasons, and when I did I did not have a major psychotic episode, my condition improved. Given that the medical industry has shown repeatedly that they do not have patients best interests at heart, (they are capitalist enterprises focused solely on profit, any benefit to the patient is ancillary and useful only for marketing purposes.) I see it as a hallmark of a good patient-doctor relationship that a good faith effort is made by both parties toward a clear understanding of risks, mechanisms of action, and other relevant information."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "For me this medication did not work . This medication made me extremely reckless and impulsive. It changed my paranoid thoughts into rage towards whatever I was thinking. I'm glad that I know I'm paranoid because I feel if I believed what I'm experiencing I would not be free writing this. I'm glad this helps some people but not for me."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "I started taking Rexulti about 2 months ago. At first I had worsened depression and issues with suicidal ideation, but then as the dose increased, it got better (so stick with it, even if there is a bump in the road). I realized I wasn’t paranoid anymore. I wasn’t worried about someone waiting for me in my home or watching me through windows. It made it easier to talk without all the voices and racing thoughts. I became more social, and my mood is much more manageable. I have more energy. This is the best medication I’ve tried. I have new issues with dry eyes, though. No sleep issues, and I take it at night."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "I was on 1mg of Rexulti for 6months for Delusional disorder . Never had any side effects except sleeping for 12 hours a day and gaining 20 kg. I was grateful for this medication as it got rid of my delusions. Overall, I felt much better than before."

"I have had treatment resistant Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. In terms of medications I have tried, I honestly would not have enough place to list them. I also suffer from "Simple Schizophrenia" This diagnosis is recognized almost all regions of the world except for the US. Simple Schizophrenia converted to US psychiatry would be: Schizophrenia Not Otherwise Stated, With Prominent "Negative Symptoms" Negative symptoms consist of the following: Avolition, social withdraw, socially awkward, dysthymia (mild depression) social anxiety W/O paranoia or delusions of reference. So far, taking 1 mg daily has been profoundly helpful."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "Well, Rexulti would do its job but side effects made me restless and twitchy. It also is too stimulating and made me insomniac even if taken in the morning. In fear of tardive dyskinesia because of twitching I had to switch off."

"My experience with Rexulti has been a good one. At first, I had some anxiety, then that went away. No evil voices, no paranoia or suspicion. It has been the best experience so far with any antipsychotic I've taken. I am also experiencing more energy."

"I actually have Bipolar Disorder (mainly mania). The first 2 weeks of Rexulti were rough because I got tons of restlessness and akathisia. I stopped for 3 days and restarted at 0.5mg. Each week increased by 0.5mg until I got to 2mg. No problems with restlessness. I am on Lithium as well, but before the addition of Rexulti I was not doing that great with respect to bipolar cycling into mania. I have been stable since the start of Rexulti with the exception of 4 days where I was depressed/mixed, but this is because I stopped my meds for a few daysIt gives me slight increased in motivation and better time-management, which really surprised me given my past experiences with AAPs. My mood if definitely more stable and I am not suffering the highs that come with mania"

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "I've been taking Rexulti for some time now. I take 4 mg per day. It helps me so much with hallucinations. I've tried so many meds, and this by far is the best one. It caused weight gain and it's difficult to lose it. I'm losing the weight; it is just taking some time. All in all, I'm very happy with it."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "Rexulti helps me keep my head on straight. It's hands down the best antipsychotic I've ever been on and I've been on quite a few. I'm not tired all the time or a zombie, like I was on so many other APs. It keeps my hallucinations at bay and helps my depression levels stay at a decent level. It doesn't get rid of all my hallucinations and I still have some depression but all in all it keeps things calm and quiet and I couldn't ask for much more. The main side effects that I don't like are: it makes it very hard for me to lose weight and it makes me dizzy. I take 4 mg."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) "This medicine is horrible. My hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia are increased 10 times worse than before. I have agitation, body temperature dysregulation issues, dizziness, insomnia (despite taking Temazepam), and it makes it difficult to think. I don't recommend this medication."
