Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "I started on Rexulti at the low dose of 0.5 mg. It was really helping with my break through depression. I have been taking Wellbutrin for about 2 years and I needed a little boost. Well 2 months later and I gained 10 POUNDS. Super disappointed. The medication works, but be ready to be depressed about how much weight you've gained from it. Won't recommend."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "This is my 3rd time trying Rexulti. Honestly, the first 2 times I took this medication my other psychiatrist only gave me 2mg. It did not work for me. But, I switched psychiatrist and they gave me 4mg for my depression. What a major difference. I am on weight watchers freestyle and I actually lost 3lbs on this medication while doing this program. Yes, it can cause weight gain. But, as soon as I started taking this medication I immediately went on weight watchers freestyle. The only thing is my sugar was high when I got blood work. You really need to watch your sugar when on this medication and eat a healthy diet. People say this medication causes weight gain so you have to be really careful and watch what you eat."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "I was on this for Depressive Episode / Delusions. The side effects doctors won’t tell you about that happened to me: high blood sugar, high blood pressure, fast weight gain, lethargy, heart palpitations, constant panic attacks, insomnia, migraines, stomach and digestive issues, and much much more that ruined my entire summer. BTW: it only “works” for two weeks to a month then it stops completely as shown by literally half of the reviews on this. Disgusting. Put in more research before shoving in experimental antipsychotics into peoples mouths whenever they even feel a tad bit sad."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "Started and have stayed on the very lowest mg. of Rexulti.( for roughly four months) Almost immediately I felt so much better, and as the days went on, I felt "alive" again. Did have an issue with hot flashes, but it didn't last long. My Pdoc is trying to see if I can get a reduction on the cost of this med. Hope he can, because if not, I have no other med that works for me, and it's back to doomsville again. I have D.I.D., PTSD; anxiety, and panic disorder. This drug really keeps me focused, and on an even emotional keel. Very pleased."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "Another thought-erasing, emotion- numbing all-too-typical anti-psychotic. Within two days at a beginning dose, 0.5 mg, I was feeling utterly depersonalized, unable to hold a thought in my head, or to feel any emotion. Marketing schizophrenia drugs for depressive disorders should be a crime."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "Rexulti is great as in treating my major depression, anxiety and PTSD. However, I am coming off it because I have been suffering from many side effects that I can't cope. I sleep 15-18 hours a day when I am on 1mg only and then I am 50% awake for the rest of the day, too sleepy to do anything. So here is a list of the side effects that I am experiencing: 1. Blurred vision 2. Hypertension 3. High cholesterol 4. Fatigue 5. Oversleeping No weight gain for me because I only get a chance to eat dinner due to oversleeping."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "I was given Rexulti as an adjunct and it pulled me out of a dark hole pretty quickly (about 3 days). Dose of 1mg worked for about 6 months, relapse, went up to 2 mg then 3 mg— anxiety off the charts. Found the dosage of 1mg plus 0.5 mg (two prescriptions— cutting the higher dosages didn’t change the med on a molecular level) most effective. Great for a long time. It was also so much better than abilify (abilify gave me horrible nightmares). Fast forward to 1.5 years later— gained over 60 lbs (can’t lose anything either, even eating healthy foods— hunger unmanageable). So the weight gain is just as bad as Abilify. I am 2 weeks into tapering from 1.5 to 1 mg and have severe insomnia, body aches, joint pain, general sadness, lack of patience and interest in usual activities. Dr. won’t do a faster tapering. I want this med out of my body ASAP. I’m done. Great short term solution for depression, crappy for the long term. Get the manufacturer coupon."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "I've taken several antidepressants, and had restlessness with Abilify. Now I'm taking Wellbutrin and Rexulti (1mg) and I feel wonderful. I feel like my old self again. I'm thirty years old and haven't felt this good since I was probably 19. Really good med. No side effects so far."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "As a "thick file" patient, after nearly thirty years of suffering through dozens of combinations of drugs for TRMDD, and this little gem has had an impact far exceeding any other treatment. One milligram Rexulti as an adjunct to 60 mg mirtazapine/200 mg bupropion has given me a chance to move forward. Reduced dependency on alprazolam, nicotine, ethanol in the first thirty days. Am hoping fervently that there's not a "poop-out" potential with Rexulti, and am making hay while the sun shines. My psychiatrist is shaking is head, having seen likewise highly significant movement in a good number of long-time treatment resistant patients, because "on paper, it looks just like Abilify". Not placebo effect in my case."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "Effective as anything but at great cost. It quickly quieted my intrusive thoughts and gave me a boost of energy. But only 4 months later I've gained 35lbs on only 1mg of Rexulti. My BMI is over 25. My Dr says the sugar cravings and impulsive shopping are a good sign because it's dopamine-seeking activity. My mental health is better than it has been in years, and I'm going to be stopping this medication because of its detrimental effects to my weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, and self esteem. I don't even recognize my own body anymore. Not how it looks and not how it feels to move around in it. I almost wish I'd never experienced this because it feels like a tragedy to find something that works so well and not be able to keep taking it. It's, quite ironically, super depressing."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "I have been on Lexapro & that seemed to stop working. I then went on Cymbalta 120mg/day & it helped but I can get very angry episodes & been depressed for 15+ years after abusive, sociopathic husband. Now divorced & was a bit happy.. But, didn't last. Still had the anger issues & no patience for anything, esp kids. I tried Abilify with no results. I have been on Rexulti for about a week & the elevated mood is amazing! I feel like my old self from 20 years ago.. I'm laughing, making homes, smiling, singing & having great thoughts about the future. Loss of appetite (good thing for me), but might just be hormonal. Have much more energy & im thanking my doctor for introducing me to this elation! I hope every one of you can get same!!"

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "I have had depression for years. I have ADHD also. I take wellbutrin, adderall and trazadone for it all. I have been on rexulti for a 3 weeks now. I have not gained any weight. I have lost 10lbs so far with WW on it. I am a full time college student. Rexulti has helped me more with of my ADHD symptoms. It has helped with my concentration also. I am glad they finally have come out with something that I am able to actually loose weight on."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "If you have any anxiety, do NOT take Rexulti! I had very severe panic attacks so Bad that I had to go to the ER. And they will not go away unless you go to the ER. One day I had 5 attacks back to back with my 15 yr old begging me to call an ambulance. They would not stop happening! My jaw would lock up, I felt like I couldn't breathe, and felt like I was dying. Nothing I did at home would stop them. Was a terrifying experience!!"

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "Changed my life. Been on Prozac and Klonopin for years for depressive and anxiety disorders, added rexulti recently after I told my psych about how I'm not depressed, but I still feel "flat" very anhedonic. My sleep was also still bad despite being on trazodone. I feel pleasure again, and I laugh and my emotions range much more high than they previously did. Sleeping great. Was terrified to take since this is an "atypical antipsychotic" but alas, no side effects. I gained about 7 pounds, in which I'd say is from being happy and healthy and enjoying food again. Not sure how well this works for anxiety since Prozac and Klonopin already helped my anxiety tremendously. Give this a try."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "I’ve read these reviews, like you, desperately hoping that I could find a medication that worked for me. I’m ultra sensitive to psych meds, am a slow metabolizer, and can’t take any SSRI’s or SNRI’s. I’ve had anxiety and depression for 23 years that started postpartum, and I am a 56 yo female. Rexulti, when added to my AD Nortriptyline, worked in 3 days to calm the agitated, panicky anxiety I was still struggling with. I take it in the morning, 0.5mg, and I don’t have any side effects. First time ever! I urge sensitive people to try this! God bless all of you that are struggling and trying!"

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "Began taking Rexulti May 2016 for MDD. At that time I weighed 160lb. This was a miracle drug for me. I had energy, obsessive thoughts and worries went away and a felt like a new person. Now, 3 years later I weigh 220lb and am miserable. I never changed my eating habits. Felt starved all the time. I'm stopping this medication. Now I'm at risk for Heart Attack, Stroke, Diabetes. So, yes Rexulti works but at a serious cost."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Major Depressive Disorder "30 plus years of MDD and many different drugs and combos. This is the only thing I've taken where I don't feel like I am fighting my depression on a daily, hourly, sometimes "minutely" basis. Life is still life - with ups and downs, but I am feeling more like the person I was meant to be without MDD. Much more social, confident, proactive. More open in general to other people and relationships. I take 2mg with cymbalta."

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) for Depression "I am one of those people who went through every antidepressant ever (paxil, prystiq, effexor, wellbutrin, etc.) Finally landed on prozac. Felt much better, but far from ok. After several months, rexulti was added. I am one of the lucky ones I suppose, because within hours I knew I had just won my own personal lottery - a med combo that worked for me. I now know what I have never known my whole life - what it's like to feel normal. I feel like this drug combo saved my life. My wife and kids do too best of luck to those struggling, because it took me 36 years to get the combination right. Tried it all. I recommend trying this combo to all. If it doesn't work, keep trying. It's worth the frustration when you feel it for the first time - normalcy. It is expensive unless you are willing to fill out the paperwork and get it for free. ;)"
