Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Adderall XR one does exactly as it supposed to do with little to no side effects for me, I've been on it a long time, and my work performance, impulsiveness, and cleanliness are all improved. I do not interrupt, and can retain things better when having a conversation, or reading. I used to talk to people and zone out thinking about 4 different things at one time, I would blurt out inappropriately, and used to live like a absolute slob. my ADHD has impacted my social life, my home life, and work life, it has helped me get my life in order, act better socially, and helps with my depression at the same time. I have no problem eating or sleeping on this med. I have a tolerance and tolerate it well."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I was 23 when I was diagnosed with ADHD. Started Adderall. I take 30 mg of SR a day and the difference is phenomenal! I get up with ease because I know I can tackle all tasks with astounding motivation and actually enjoy doing tedious work. I am co-morbid with anxiety, rumination, and I was highly neurotic. I found myself aggressive, quick-tempered, and easily abusing marijuana and alcohol. This all changed with Adderall. I am rational, reflect on situations in a positive light, and generally just a more helpful and kind person. Adderall completely saved my professional and personal life. Side note, it can cause erectile dysfunction, but it will go away after your body is used to the cycle."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Well I had a hard time getting my regular generic adderall refill a few months ago. So I went to a mom n pop pharmacy rather than Walgreens because they had it in stock. It cost me $60 rather than $5 but at this point I had been with out for almost 2 weeks waiting on walgreen to get the drug in stock. Fast forward 2 months and 2 prescriptions later later and I decided to try Walgreens again…. Woohoo! I got it for $5. Only to come home and find out it was CAMBER! I tried it. I have been so sick. I feel loopy and extremely nauseous and all I want to do is sleep. Since it is the weekend there is nothing I can do. Tomorrow I am calling my doctor to let him know and seeing if I can turn in my prescription to Walgreens and have it sent back to the mom and pop pharmacy. I have been on 20mgs with 10 in the afternoon for 10+years. I have never experienced this other than when my local CVS switched to Aurobindo, that also made me feel very ill."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I suffer from a fairly severe case of ADHD, and take 30 mg Adderall XR daily. Having been on this medication for quite a few years now and taking an almost 7-month break from Adderall, I've gained a better understanding of myself both on and off the drug. Adderall gives me a balance in every sense of the word. It helps me regulate my emotions, gives me the focus I lack, and allows me to feel whole inside. I also feel that it helps me with connecting to others. With impulsivity as a main symptom of my ADHD and one that gets me in a lot of trouble, Adderall helps me to be more mindful when I am communicating myself to the people that I care about. Aside from the mild appetite suppression, this drug really does wonders for people like me."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Just started taking adderall XR 10mg after learning I had been mis-diagnosed for 15+ years as either bi-polar, major depressive disorder and social anxiety. I finally found a psychiatrist that really dug deep and concluded I was not bi polar but I suffered from adult ADHD (33 year old male). It makes total sense as I read more about ADHD. I had been on every possible anti-depressant, anti psychotic MDD etc and was just done with meds. I was diagnosed as a child and teen but thought “ I’d grow out of it” and apparently never did it just got worse. I feel that so many people are mis-diagnosed it’s almost unbelievable. My theory and the doctor also said that if you take the medication and it calms you and your racing thoughts that that’s a tell tail sign that you do indeed suffer from ADHD, it’s not just a childhood/school era problem, it disrupts your life, marriage everything. I’m on day 2 and it’s like a light switch has been turned on and I can relax and not be manic."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I've tried several ADHD meds and Mydayis has definitely been the best for me. I'm on the lowest dose and it starts working 20-30 minutes after I take it. I'm then able to be productive and direct my focus easily, compared to other meds (eg-Adderall) which gave me a burst of intense focus that I had no control over. The transitions are barely noticeable and it really helps maintain consistent energy levels. After wearing off, it's a very natural "I've worked all day and now I'm ready to relax before bed" feeling (no crash). I also noticed it significantly helps manage my depression-something no other ADHD med has done. The only downsides: (1) it does reduce my appetite a lot and (2) it only lasts about 9-10 hours on my current dose (12.5mg), but higher doses (25mg+) give me headaches. It's not perfect, but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives for me. Lastly-you don't know how it'll affect you, so don't let reviews scare you away if you/your doc think it might help."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Adderall is effective, but it comes with consequences. Both to your physical and mental health. I am 27 years old, I have taken Adderall on and off for about 10 years. Started it my freshman year of college. It was AMAZING at first! Lost that freshman 15, got straight A's, actually ENJOYED my work. Then I started noticing the crash symptoms. Tired, withdrawn, emotionless, sleepless. I stopped taking it because I hated the way it made me feel, but I realized how much more productive I am when taking it. When I start taking it again my immune system is shot, I'm constantly sick with something, I get super irritable. When I don't take it I can barely get out of bed and I always gain weight, which always sucks. It's a vicious cycle."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I just filled with brand shire xrs, totally different from last months brand shire xrs which were FINALLY acceptable. These are like lannett innards, make me sick and trigger migraines. as well as another month of Teva generic tablets which are absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. This is total rubbish, someone needs to produce real adderall again using the old barr/teva recipe and the original shire xr recipe. Over $7 a capsule for rubbish! Not refundable, can't trade them in, this is the definition of highway robbery! How can the same brand vary so much from one fill to the next? and these are the brands that have been the standard forever. Apparently once you report more than two adverse reactions to a company they don't have to respond back either. Not that they do anything but repeat back the same information to you; yeah I know that part I'm the one who wrote it! Tell me what I don't know! The FDA is no help either."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Many doctors seem to be convinced that if you have an AD disorder, you simply can't get high on stimulant medications. This is NOT the case at all. First off, stimulant medications in general work well... very very well. The first day I took adderall I was at school. About an hour after I took my dose of 20mgs I started to feel this awake, alert, energetic feeling inside. I liked, a lot. For the next 5 hours all of my boring subjects became very interesting and I became a very social person. After about a month, those effects started to go away. I went to the doc and asked for a dose increase. Without any hesitation, he DOUBLED my dose to 40mg. I quickly found my self abusing adderall. 1 year later and I'm now in rehab for drug abuse."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I am diagnosed Concurrent Concussion Syndrome with ADD symptoms. I took Vyvanse for over a year and I thought I loved it, until I realized it gave me anxiety because I was trying to cram 16 hours worth of homework and chores into the short period of time the medication worked. My neurologist had me switch to taking Mydayis and I have loved it because I do not feel the “high” that vyvanse gives you, and in turn I also do not feel the medication slowing down either. Now, I still take it at 5:30am, but I can do homework or concentrate on other tasks well past 8 or 9 pm. Advantages: -long lasting -continuous feeling throughout day (no ups and downs) Disadvantages: -makes me not feel hungry -loss of appetite can make low blood sugar hit me all at once if I forget to eat -if I sleep in on the weekends I can’t take it because it will last too long Hope my experience helps! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for longer lasting stimulants, but I know that everyone reacts to things differently so it might not work for you"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "The Teva that I normally take is on back order. Tried Epic brand. Immediately started feeling dizzy and headache started. Pulse is racing, resting pulse is 67 and my current resting is 94. Feel like I am having an out of body experience also paranoid. When talking I felt like I was talking really fast, but my daughter said I was actually talking slowly. Everyone keeps looking at me really weird. My eyes are blinking uncontrollably. I keep crying for no reason. I hope this medication wears off very very soon. Dry mouth, which is normal, but this was almost immediate and severe. My arm occassionally twitches and I seem to now be shivering. If I took this brand normally I would never want to take amphetamine/dextroamphetamine again."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "To all the people saying this is rubbish and to use adderall XR instead, this IS adderall XR. It's literally made by the same company and contains the same ingredients. It's just a triple layer release whereas adderall XR is double layer. If you do not feel the effects of mydayis but do feel adderall XR, it's because of your own negative expectations and placebo. That's is all."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "This month I received an RX that was half Lannett half Teva due to the shortage. I tried to not mix the brands when dosing. Let me say the difference between these two manufacturers is shocking. Lannett, not only entirely ineffective, is actually just down right harmful. My chest hurts on it, crazy headaches, pounding heart, nausea, I am tired, and VERY little focus which is only in the immediate beginning. Teva however, works like it’s supposed to, and I don’t feel like I’m literally dying."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Was placed Adderall XR 20mg once a day. The first month was fantastic. I could think. I had bounds of physical energy. My mood was elevated. I had problems starting with the second month. The positive effects were no longer there and the negative ones were enhanced. I did some research and found out it was an issue with the brand. Not all generics are the same despite what everyone is told. I got Actavis brand. I found out that not only are generics allowed to differ in potency by 60-120% (40 less potent than some or 20% more potent than some) but Actavis was allowed to use its own proprietary formulation. If you are put on Adderall XR or IR be cautious about what generic you get. Some work way better than others."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Life-changing paradigm-shifting drug for ADHD, combined type. I started with Ritalin - minimal improvement. My quality of life improved in all areas with Adderall XR. The brand name is effective, smooth, and a miracle wonder drug. Avoid the generic XR at all costs! The generic gave me intense, bad side effects with minimal or no benefit. On the generic, I felt as if I took street drugs (I haven't ever so I don't really know) - I clenched my teeth, tensed my muscles, had massive insomnia, and felt generally tense and anxious both socially and professionally. I was diagnosed with ADHD in college at age 32, 18 years ago. After Adderall XR and only Adderall XR, I could drive safely, focus/concentrate, complete tasks before moving on to another task, and respond instead of react. No insomnia with the brand - I even nap on it sometimes! It also helps with depression."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Such an amazing contribution to the pharmaceutical world. So much better than its ugly step sisters, such as Ritalin and Vyvanse. Adderall steals the show every time. 30mg/day does the trick. Been on it for 12 years, I've taken personal breaks for tolerance. I've never had any type of "withdrawal" or "come downs" at the end of the day. This drug has the ability to put me to sleep when I take it, honestly; and that's because my dissociation (caused by my ADHD) causes my anxiety to skyrocket. But when I take my adderall, I am able to focus on reality, making my anxiety disappear for a few hours. Calms me down. Relief is a blessing."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "When I was in grade school I had a real hard time learning. I could not pay attention in class. My mind was always wandering. I was always daydreaming and looking out the windows, I could not retain any information. I was forgetful and bored. My grades were always C's and D's no matter how hard I tried. I was always fidgety, had a hard time sitting still, always twirling my hair or shaking my legs or feet. I hated school, I felt so dumb. As I got into high school I was so far behind I gave up trying. When I started driving I would go through red lights, stop signs etc. I was just daydreaming all the time. I kept losing my car keys, my glasses, forgetting where I put them. I am out of space, but Adderal saved my life! I am 59. No side effects"

"Recently changed pharmacies and didn't realize that there can be quite a difference between generics. For 4 years I’ve taken adderall 2x day, 10 mg. Never any problems until I switched pharmacies to save $. Elite Pharma is who makes this new one and it is NOT GOOD. I am lethargic, unable to focus, quite sleepy. It’s as if I haven’t even taken anything. Incredibly frustrating as I am not even half way through this months supply."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I have been taking it for several years. There was a time about a year ago when all the pharmacies could not get any, and I went about a month without. Being a Service Advisor, I deal with a lot of numbers (VIN, License Plates, etc.). After a few days without, I started reversing a lot of the numbers. I would see the correct order but would say out loud or write down a reversed version. I had to go slower and double-check what I had written. A positive side effect is it gets me off the couch on the day(s) I have off and motivates me to get stuff done around the house that needs to be done. It kept me up at night at first, but after a while, I learned not to take it too late in the day. I would recommend it to anyone who has ADHD."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I finally got diagnosed when I was 40. I was in college and just couldn't focus or comprehend my classes. I thought there was something wrong my head. I've been abused for a very long time. I went to my counsellor and suggested I get tested for ADHD. I was very relieved it wasn't head problems. I was diagnosed with ADHD. I suffered 40 years with all the symptoms but never thought about ADHD. When I was put on Adderall I couldn't believe the difference. My grade point was 3.67. I was very proud of myself. I've been taking it ever since. 30mg twice a day. People can tell when I'm not on it, big difference. My insurance didn't cover it. So I was paying over $200 My insurance started paying last yr. THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORY."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I am 25 years old. Over the last 3 years I have pretty much ruined most of my relationships involving my career and my personal life. The most common symptoms I experience are: Difficulty concentrating and staying on task, capricious behavior/severe mood swings, impulsive behavior/making irrational decisions that significantly impact my future, depression, and anxiety. I had a great job, and I had lots of friends. Unfortunately, difficult events took place that caused my emotional health to start spiraling out of control. I became diagnosed with ADD/ADHD in April 2013. Started Adderall 30mg XR. It really helped me feel more motivated, less depressed, and I felt I could concentrate much better. I definitely recommend this medication!"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "Been on Adderall for 5 years now, 15mg twice daily. Started on 10mg 2x daily but the lower doses are associated with aggressive behaviors. Is it a flawless savior? Do I still struggle at times with ADHD? Absolutely! Medications, i.e. insulin, all have side effects. As a patient, you must ask yourself if the side effects outweigh the benefits. I refused treatment until age 32 which has been beneficial to my physical health. If you are at the mercy of ADHD, I strongly advise you to use some of the new apps with or without meds. Daily for the 1st 3 weeks is simply miraculous. Lastly, the world or your coworkers don't need to know about your diagnosis. ADHD is still stigmatized as a disorder that only stupid people have. My 1st RN job I was viciously bullied once word got out about my ADHD!! By my fellow RNs!! Now I make more than a Nurse Practitioner!! #Strength"
