I am such a sissy with pain meds but I've got spinal arthritis and fibro along with restless leg syndrome. I have 1 pill of codeine and a tramadol. I needed to know if they can be mixed
Can you take tramadol and codeine together at same time?

A nurse told me, that Tramadol has Codeine in it!.

Tramadol is a synthetic type of codeine and made to work like it.

It does other, but it works on similar receptors in the brain, which is why withdrawals from it are similar to that if codeine.

I personally do not like Tramadol so I wouldn't mix it with anything. Also, I'm always queasy when I hear "I have." Proceed with caution. Hope this helps.

Hello Katierjosh. Yes but not advised todo so. The side effects such as sedatation for one are going to be felt. If you are planning to mix the two I would take it during the evening, when you are likely to be at home, days activities ended. No driving thats recommened. Regards, pledge

Mixing meds like that is not a good idea unless your dr is following you. Side effects can be increased.
