I have two topical prescriptions Mupirocin ointment usp. 2%, exp. 04/10, and clotimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate cream 1%/0.05% (base) exp. May 10.
What are risks of using the expired drugs listed below?

Once a drug has past its expiry date the manufacturer can no longer guarantee its safety or efficacy. You are best to throw them away and ask your doctor for new prescriptions.

Topical medications past their expiration date can break down and not work as they should and they can also become over run with bacterial contamination. Dont use them. Throw them away and obtain a new Rx if you need them.
