How long does Myrbetriq take to start working?

It took about 10 days to start and gradually improved to 99.9% within a month. I can now go 4 to 5 hours without a potty break. I had a severe cystocele and had surgery to repair it before starting on my Gemtesa.

For me it worked immediately.

I must be an exception but I wanted to add my experience. For the past 3 years my problem had gotten continuously worse until by the time I saw my doctor it was almost total. Like not having a bladder at all total. My doctor gave me samples of Myrbetriq 25mg and literally within 2 days the problem was completely gone. Not kidding. 2 days. That was almost 2 months ago and no return of symptoms. This does not seem to be the norm at all but just wanted to add my experience.

I've had the greenlight operation to shrink my prostate, three months ago. I had the operation thinking this would solve my frequent urination problem, yet now I conclude that it is the bladder that is overactive and maybe was not caused by an enlarged prostate. I still have frequent and urgent urination problems. I just started on myrbetriq 50mg. I don't know if this will work and if yes how long this will take to work, and how long I will have to take this medicine. It seems to effect the head, slight pressure on head.

Within 24 hours, I.e., that day. I found 25mg per day insufficient. 50 mg has some effect. Perfect, no! Much better than waking up 10x/night. Now only 2-3.
Effectiveness seems to vary. But noticeable improvement.
Urologist said no infection, but prostate problem helped by antibiotic.
Lots of factors went into urgency.
Tried many other meds in past for urgency. None worked well.
This was best so far. Expensive.
Took it 6 months ago. Didn't seem to work. Then took it again, now seems to work.

I was told by my doctor the medication should start working within the first 4 weeks and if it is working but not enough I can increase from 25mg to 50mg. She gave me 4 week of samples 25mg and 2 weeks of samples-50mg. I am to call her after the 4 weeks to let her know how it is going. I have only been on it for a week for have noticed a pretty good but not complete change. I was taking Vesicare but it stopped working after awhile.
