My uncle has gout in the wrist and it hurts bad, so how can he ease the pain? He already has been taking Celery Circulation and pain pills. It's swollen and in alot of pain!!!

for acute gout drugs as colchicine provide a quick relief . Then it is switched over to allopurinol. These drugs help to reduce uric acid levels and relieve pain.

He is going to have to go get a prescription from the doctor. Gout happens usually when the uric acid level in the blood goes up and they prescribe a special anti inflammatory medication. He need to cut down on all protein right now, especially seafood. Sometimes they prescribe indocin and he will likely have to take it several days before it gets better. It doesn't really respond to pain medicine.
