The active ingredient contained in Dramamine is dimenhydrinate.

Dimenhydrinate is used to treat Motion Sickness, Vertigo and Nausea/Vomiting. Doses of dimenhydrinate are dependent which condition is being treated, age of patient and other medical conditions the patient may have.

Here are the doses and how often you can take it.
take 1 tablet (50 mg) by oral route every 4 hours as needed
take 1 tablet (50 mg) by oral route every 6 hours as needed
take 2 tablets (100 mg) by oral route every 6 hours as needed
take 1 tablet (50 mg) by oral route every 4-6 hours as needed
take 2 tablets (100 mg) by oral route every 4 hours as needed not to exceed 8 tablets per 24hrs
take 2 tablets (100 mg) by oral route every 4-6 hours as needed not to exceed 8 tablets per 24hrs
