Coumadin - are there any antiinflammatory meds u can take while on coumidin?

All NSAIDs are going to cause you a problem with Coumadin. Have you tried Flexeril or a similiar drug to stop the spasms that are causing the inflammation? Taking the Flexeril with your Viocidin for a week or two may give you some relief.

Alongside of the previous responses, I'll add what I do for back pain. I'm also on warfarin. I drink a couple glasses of water, with a teaspoon of baking soda mixed in, spaced several hours apart. It helps flush excess lactic acid out of the muscle tissue. If you decide to try this, remember to take any antacid (baking soda) at least two hours before and two hours after any other meds. Antacids interfere with absorption.
Like with anything else, ask your doc first.

Most anti-inflammatories will shoot your INRs through the roof. Let your Dr know you are still having pain. You may be able to take a mild opioid for pain along with coumadin.

I'm surprised he even gave you the voltaren. These meds will increase the action of the coumadin . Voltaren is a very strong one and if it doesn't help its doubtful another one would.
