If the pain is really bad?
Can I take aspirin, ibuprofen or paracetamol along with tramadol?

Hi, i know your question is a week old, but i take tramadol, ibuprofen and paracetamol with no problems. I tried taking codeine with tramadol, not good!

I copied this for your information. There are so many misconceptions about whether or not tramadol is an opioid pain reliever.
"Tramadol belongs to the group of medicines called opioid analgesics (narcotics). It acts in the central nervous system (CNS) to relieve pain. When tramadol is used for a long time, it may become habit-forming (causing mental or physical dependence). Physical dependence may lead to side effects when you stop taking the medicine. Since tramadol and acetaminophen is only used for the short-term relief of pain, physical dependence will probably not occur."

Actually tylenol isn't in tramadol, it is only in ultracet. Ultram is without tylenol. So if you are on the combo version, stay away from acetominophen containing products. But I just take tramadol, no tylenol in it, so I can take up to 1000 mg of acetominophen daily. I try not to though, just because its pretty useless for me. My dr recommended I take ibuprofen, an 800 mg prescription strength, when I need it for inflammation or breakthru aches and pains.

Careful with Tramadol (Ultram) it is addictive, please talk with your doc. for more details.

You are absolutely correct. You need to be cautious and follow precisely ALL dosing instructions for Tramadol. In excess amounts, seizure risk is high, and withdrawal can become horrible if you take tramadol for an extended period of time and do not taper off of it. Most doctors either don't realize or don't tell you that the risk of dependence with tramadol is very high, meaning your body will eventually need a larger dose to get the same effect. While dependence is NOT the same as addiction, it can lead to some of the same consequences, so please just be careful with it, and use the correct dosage for the length of time prescribed. hi ther i take tramadol i was on 50 mg aday,then i went on 100mg aday and,then i tokk 100mg x2 aday,now i take 200mg x2 aday with a long 50mgx4 though out the day,but if you have to much you cant sleep at night,i was thinking to myself the other day i want to try and cut down on these as you can tell i am taking 600mg aday,can it be bad for you taking this much aday?what harm can it do to you?

Stay away from tylenol as it is in the Tramadol. Advil,Motrin ect is ok (ibuprofen)...

Aspirin is ok if you aren't on blood thinners or have stomach problems.You should always check with your doctor or pharmacist first.I'm just here to offer an opinion from experience, the doctors are the ones that have the official say Have a good one..
