Does anyone know when Lyrica [pregabalin] will be available as a generic drug?

It looks like Lyrica will finally be generic this July 2019. As mentioned below, Pfizer has a couple of plans to help reduce the cost for you.

Generic Lyrica won't be available until at least 2018. You may want to investigate getting the medication from the pharmacuetical company that manufactures it. You can call Pfizer at 1-866-706-2400 and inquire as to what programs they have to help pay for your medication.

Pfizer has a program to help. If you qualify for the program you can get them for free. Just look over the form, see if you do qualify, print and fill out then take the form to the doctor the prescribed the medication. They have to fill in the rest and then mail it out. Good luck!
