TS-11 (Mycoplasma Gallisepticum Vaccine) Indications

This vaccine contains the TS-11 strain of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) for the vaccination of healthy chickens nine weeks of age or older as an aid in the prevention of clinical signs of MG infection. It is essential that the chickens be maintained under good environmental conditions and that exposure to disease viruses be reduced as much as possible. Do not use in breeder chickens where negative MG serology is desired or required.

Federal regulations prohibit the repacking or sale of the contents of this carton in fractional units. DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN.

Store vaccine at -40°F (-40°C) or lower. Use entire vial contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter. Burn this container and all unused contents. Contains Amoxicillin as a preservative.

CAUTION: USE ONLY IN LOCALITIES WHERE PERMITTED

INTRAOCULAR VACCINATION

1. Bottles should be rapidly thawed in warm water (CAUTION: NO WARMER THAN 30°C OR 86°F). Shake well before removing cap.

2. Remove cap and stopper and insert dropper tip.

3. Hold each bird with its head tilted to one side.

4. Place one drop on the eye allowing the drop to spread over the eye before releasing the bird.

5. Use entire contents when first thawed.

Precautions

Do not vaccinate MG positive or diseased birds.

Vaccinate all birds on the premises at one time.

Administer a minimum of one dose to each bird.

Vaccination should be carried out at least three weeks before expected exposure to the field type MG.

Avoid stress conditions during and following vaccination.

Do not place chickens in contaminated facilities.

For veterinary use only.

Do not medicate chickens with antibacterial drugs 14 days before or seven days after vaccination.

The capability of this vaccine to produce satisfactory results depends upon many factors, including - but not limited to - conditions of storage and handling by the user, administration of the vaccine, health and responsiveness of individual chickens, and degree of field exposure. Therefore, directions for use should be followed carefully. The use of this vaccine is subject to applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
