Directions For Use

Content of attached bottle must be added to this container of TOTACIDE-28 to activate it. Shake well. Solution will exhibit fluorescent yellow-green colour indicating that it is ready for use. Before sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment, remove gross contamination and clean thoroughly. Rinse and damp dry objects before immersing in undiluted TOTACIDE-28 to which activator has been added. Use covered containers to minimize evaporation and prevent contamination. When removing objects from TOTACIDE-28 solution, use aseptic hospital procedures and RINSE OBJECTS THOROUGHLY inside and out, with sterile water prior to use.

TO STERILIZE:

Completely immerse previously cleaned objects in a fresh undiluted TOTACIDE-28 solution to which activator has been added, for a minimum of TEN (10) hours, to destroy resistant pathogenic spores including Cl. sporogenes, bacillus subtilis, Cl. tetani, Cl. Welchii.

TO DISINFECT AND TERMINALLY DECONTAMINATE:

Completely immerse previously cleaned objects in undiluted TOTACIDE-28 to which activator has been added, for a minimum of TEN (10) minutes, to destroy vegetative pathogens including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, viruses including Herpes simplex, Vaccinia and Adenovirus and other pathogenic bacteria and fungi.

For the destruction of Bacterium tuberculosis expose objects for a minimum of 45 minutes at 20°C in a fresh undiluted TOTACIDE-28 solution.

NOTE: pH Range of Activated Product: 6.5-7.4.

Rinse empty container thoroughly with water before discarding. Do not immerse carbon steel objects over 24 hours. TOTACIDE-28 solution contains a rust inhibitor, but will not prevent or remove rust caused by poor plating or improper care of instruments.

SAFETY MEASURES:

DANGER - KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

INGESTION - If swallowed, promptly drink large quantities of milk, or egg whites or gelatin solution or if they are not available, drink large quantities of water. Induce vomiting. Consult a physician immediately.

SKIN - Avoid skin contact as irritation and the possibility of sensitization exist. If skin contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water.

EYES - In case of contact with eyes, flush well with water and seek medical attention immediately.

INHALATION - Use in ventilated areas.

FOOD - Avoid contact with food.
