Serpens Species BacterinThis treatment applies to the following species:
Inactivated Culture with Aluminum Hydroxide Adjuvant
Prevention: Administer three 5.0cc doses subcutaneously at four week intervals (0, 4 & 8 weeks), with a single booster dose four months after the third dose and every four to six months thereafter.
Treatment: in PDD-affected animals, administer three 5.0cc doses subcutaneously at four week intervals (0, 4 & 8 weeks) in conjunction with appropriate management practices which may include footbaths or wraps. After healing, follow prevention guidelines with single booster doses of this vaccine every four to six months.
Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Do not use in animals with signs of systemic disease. Administration should be under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Occasionally, anaphylactic or other adverse reactions may occur. If adverse reactions occur, appropriate therapy with epinephrine or other antianaphylactic drugs should be initiated immediately. Entire contents of this bottle should be used when first opened. Any adverse reactions following vaccination should be immediately reported to the manufacturer.
This product license is conditional pending the development of an acceptable potency test.
