Pyrahist-10This treatment applies to the following species:
(sterile injectable antihistamine solution)
Veterinary Use Only
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Each mL contains 25 mg pyrilamine maleate USP and 10 mg ephedrine hydrochloride USP.
Preservative: Contains benzyl alcohol USP 0.2% w/v.
INDICATIONS: Pyrahist-10 is an antihistamine/decongestant product indicated as an aid in the treatment of allergies and other conditions in which it is desired to neutralize histamine in cattle, horses and swine.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Administer by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection using proper aseptic techniques. Cattle, Horses and Swine: 1 mL per 45 kg of body weight.
Dose may be repeated every 2 hours, or as recommended by your veterinarian.
CAUTIONS: Depression of the central nervous system, in-coordination and disturbances of gastrointestinal function can occur at therapeutic doses. Over-dosage may cause excitement.
If improvement does not occur within several days, discontinue treatment and consult a veterinarian.
WARNINGS: Keep out of reach of children. Milk taken from treated animals during treatment and within 48 hours after the latest treatment must not be used as food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 7 days following the latest treatment with this drug. This drug is not to be administered to horses that are to be slaughtered for use in food.
