Directions For Use

Parvosyl is designed specifically as a general non-acid cleaner and disinfectant for use in kennels, veterinary and animal hospitals. It is formulated to disinfect hard non-porous, inanimate surfaces such as floors, walls, metal surfaces, stainless steel surfaces, porcelain, glazed ceramic tile, plastic surfaces, washrooms, wash stalls, bathtubs and cabinets. For plastic and painted surfaces, spot test on an inconspicuous area before use. A rinse with potable water is required for surfaces in direct contact with food. Parvosyl deodorizes areas which generally are hard to keep fresh smelling, which are prone to odours caused by microorganisms.

Disinfection, Deodorizing And Cleaning

Remove gross filth or heavy soil prior to application of the product. Hold container 15-20 cm from surface to be treated. Spray area until it is covered with the solution. Allow product to penetrate and remain wet for 10 minutes. No scrubbing is necessary. Wipe off with a clean cloth, mop or sponge.

The product will not leave grit or soap scum.

Bactericidal Activity

When used as directed, this product exhibits effective disinfectant activity against the organisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli 0157:H7, Corynebacterium ammoniagenes, Enterococcus faecium, Listeria monocytogenes, Yersenia enterocolitica, Salmonella (typhi) enterica, Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus faecalis, Vancomycin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus (VISA), Streptococcus pyogenes (Necrotizing Fasciitis), Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE), Community Associated Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA)

Tuberculocidal Activity

This product exhibits disinfectant efficacy against Mycobacterium terrae when the treated surface is allowed to remain wet for 5 minutes.

*virucidal Activity

This product, when used on environmental, inanimate, non-porous surfaces exhibits effective virucidal activity against HIV-1, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV), Human Coronavirus, Hepatitis A Virus, Norwalk Virus, Feline Calicivirus, Rabies Virus, Canine Parvovirus, Poliovirus Type 1, Avian Influenza A, Turkey/Wisc/(H9N2), Avian Influenza (H3N2), Paramyxovirus, Rotavirus, Rhinovirus type 39 and SARS Associated Coronavirus. This product has demonstrated effectiveness against Bovine Viral Diarrhea and Influenza A virus and is expected to inactivate all Influenza A viruses including 2009 (H1N1) pandemic Influenza A virus.

Mildewstat

To control mold and mildew on pre-cleaned, hard, non-porous surfaces spray surface to be treated making sure to wet completely. Let air dry. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth appears.

Fungicidal Activity

This product is fungicidal against the pathogenic fungi, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, which causes “Athletes foot” in humans and is one of the organisms associated with “ringworm” in dogs and cats, when used as directed on hard surfaces found in kennels, wash stalls or other clean, non-porous, hard surfaces.

EFFICACY TESTS HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT THIS PRODUCT IS AN EFFECTIVE BACTERICIDE, FUNGICIDE AND VIRUCIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF ORGANIC SOIL (5% BLOOD SERUM).

PRECAUTIONS: CAUTION: MAY IRRITATE EYES. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not get in eyes or on clothing. Avoid contamination of food. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

FIRST AID:

If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. If swallowed: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. Take container, label or product name and Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.

NOTE TO PHYSICIAN:

Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage and disposal. Store in a dry place no lower in temperature than 10° C or higher than 50° C.

Rinse the emptied container thoroughly. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use.

Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements. For information on the disposal of unused, unwanted product and the cleanup of spills, contact the Provincial Regulatory Agency or the Manufacturer.
